AnswerCortana is a personal assistant included in Windows 10. She can answer questions, search the web, find things on your computer, and do other tasks as well.

Cortana's search field is at the bottom of the screen next to the Start button.
You can click in the field to type to Cortana or select the microphone to begin talking to Cortana. You can also use the Cortana button on your keyboard on select Toshiba laptops.
Cortana can be set to listen for commands as well. When this is enabled, you can simply say "Hey, Cortana," and she'll start listening for a command. To enable this, follow these steps:
Click in the Cortana field.
Select the Settings icon.
Under Let Cortana respond when you say "Hey Cortana", ensure the toggle is set to On. You might have to scroll down to see it.
Note that to get the most out of Cortana, you'll need to be using a Microsoft account on your PC. If you're not using one, you'll be prompted to change to one.
If you want to search for files on your computer, simply type the name in Cortana's field.
To get answers to some questions, you can simply ask her. For example, when asked "Hey Cortana, what's the weather like?" she can respond with the current weather at your location. If asked "Hey Cortana, what's the capital of Canada?" she'll reply with "Ottawa."
Cortana can answer many questions as well as change some settings on your computer for you. She can also search Bing if she doesn't know the answer to your question.

I did some research into the DATAQ ActiveX controls, and found this resource that I think might be helpful: http://www.dataq.com/develop/index.html It contains some information about how to use those ActiveX controls and some of the common problems you might run into with them. I also might recommend looking at the DATAQ forums for more specific knowledge on those products.
We have a KnowledgeBase article on our site showing what parts of ActiveX are supported in CVI; you can find that here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/610540BB3EA4EBDD862568960055E498?OpenDocument and it looks to me like what you're trying to do should be supported. Are you seeing an error when you try to use the DATAQ ActiveX control, or does it just not do anything?

Disregard the question. The solution has nothing to do with any "Firefox bug". Turns out that my session wasn't being managed properly. Or rather, I was accidentally deleting other users' information when new users logged in. So if I had user 1 and user 2, and user 2 logged in after user 1, some of user 1's information would be deleted, resulting in the errors.
Oops; sorry about the false alarm. :)

Are you referring to an equivalent to the Windows Character Map Application (charmap.exe) that allowed you to see the various characters available in each font, and then give you an ALT-nnn number you could key to use the character you wanted ?
If so you can use the Special Characters from the Edit menu of most applications. Once you have located the character/symbol you want double click it and it will be entered wherever you cursor is located in your application.

How can I use the MS Windows Key in Linux

Hello!
I'm using KDE 4.3 and want to use the MS Windows Key to open the KDE start menu.
I tried to add the Windows Key by pressing as a "KDE Application Launcher" hotkey, but the window key wasn't accepted as a hotkey.
Is it possible to add this key as a hotkey?

I have the following line in my .xinitrc:

...where keycode 133 is my win key. I assign it to F30 (it can be any number besides 1-12, I guess), and then it's just a matter of configuring escape key (in your case, it'll be kde start menu) to F30.

How do I use a OS (Windows) Environment Variable in the source path of me ActionScript 3.0 settings

I'm sure this can be done as I know we used something similiar at my old work place, below is an image showing what I am attempting to do.
We used this to create more portable / shareable assets files which when symbols are linking to code, the code was very often in different directories on different machines.
So we had set up environment variables in the OS to point to source directories and then used these variables in the source paths.
As long as everyone had these variables set up then it would all work.
Anyone know the correct way to do this in Flash CC

sinious the problem with doing that is that the changed path gets into the code repository as well, so you wind up with everyone going back and forth changing it to their own value, which is a hassle. If you use relative paths and a standard project setup, then it all "just works" without a problem.
For example, this is the setup I use:

We have a "base project" that you check out to start a new project (we do heaps of similar work), and the paths are already set up to be relative. Having each project point to its own copy of the core code allows for fine-grained control of which revision you're using--we've even pointed deliberately to old versions or branches on rare occasions.
The bin folder is actually shared with the website repository, which is in a different directory from the Flash source code (in the website, it has a different name). This allows the generated swfs to be easily updated and ensures that the latest XML is being used both for development and on the site.
The "thisProject" folder actually includes a Flash Builder workspace with all the standard shortcuts, etc., already set up. This is primarily because of how the "default path" works when you create a new Flash Pro project in FB. Because we output a level up from the workspace, we hack the .metadata folder every time, but that's a small change.

If this will now be your computer at work, you will need to transfer your iTunes library and your photos from your Mac to your PC. You can transfer your iTunes library from your Mac to your PC at work following the instructions included with this link. This will make the iTunes library on your PC at work identical to your iTunes library on your Mac at the time it is transferred from your Mac. You will also need to authorize your PC at work with your iTunes account with iTunes - the same iTunes account used on your Mac.

Just like how you can use your keyboard with many applications, there are many applications with which you can use your webcam.
Camera app
Most Windows 8 laptops come with the Camera app pre-installed. You’ll find it on the Start screen, or you can search for it by typing “Camera” at the Start screen. If you don’t have it installed, you can download it from the Store app.
Do note that while I’m explaining how to use the Camera app, you can use other apps with your webcam as well. Run the Camera app. If this is the first time you’ve opened the Camera app, you’ll likely see a message asking if you’d like to allow the app to know your location. Select either Allow or Block depending on your personal preference.
Recording
You’ll see an image in the center with two buttons on the right. When the bottom button is pressed, it’ll save the image to the camera roll. Press the top button to begin recording a video. While a video is recording, a timer will be displayed in the image and the top button will change. Press it again to stop recording.
Right-click anywhere in the camera app while viewing the camera to see additional buttons at the bottom, including timer and exposure buttons.
Browsing the camera roll
When you move the mouse on the screen, you’ll notice a button on the left that can be used to scroll through your camera roll. While viewing the camera roll, move your mouse to see a back button and forward button on the sides of the screen. If you move forward all the way, you’ll be back at the camera.
You can right-click in the camera roll to see additional options there as well, including rotating and cropping.
Photo and video storage
Your photos and videos in your camera roll are stored in a folder named “Camera Roll” in the “Pictures” folder.
To find this folder, hold the Windows key and press the ‘E’ key to open File Explorer, then select “Pictures” in “This PC.”

All Photoshop versions through CS6 came with platform-specific licenses, either Windows or PC. You could get a cross-grade of platform swap at a nominal cost but not for older versions, only for whatever Photoshop versions was current at the time.
CS3 is totally out of the upgrade or cross-grade loop. You'd have to buy a new license for CS6 Mac or subscribe to Photoshop CC, as Trevor points out.
Curt Y is correct in that CS2 will not run on current Mac-Intel machines. You would need a used Mac G5 or G4 with a PowerPC (IBM) CPU, which have been obsolete since mid 2006.
Of course, you could run your Windows on your Mac if you installed and ran BootCamp or Parallells.
