Is there a way to use a different ID from the App Store for iMessage on mu iPhone?

To fix this go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and do one of the following:
Either uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on both phones; or
If you want to continue to receive iMessages at this email address, on one of the phones, tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using a different Apple ID. Note: you can continue to share an Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores. It does not need to be the same as the ID you are using for iMessage, FaceTime and other services.

When it turned back on eventually it won't unlock unless I enter my Apple ID and password, which now also won't work. What I found was that the Activation Lock is on, cutting off my Apple ID's accessibility to my phone. Anything to help get my phone to turn on again would be more than imaginably appreciated. On top of everything being erased I'm also a college student who doesn't have easy access to a verizon store.

Activation lock through Find My iPhone is enabled by an Apple ID. What needs to be confirmed is what Apple ID was used to enable this and that the password is correct.

Create a new Apple ID using a new valid e-mail address

You can only use a country's store if you are in that country and have a billing address in that country on your account - are you in the country that you want to buy content from ? If you are then you can update the billing address on your account to be your address there (if using a credit card then that will need to have been issued by a bank in that country) via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes.

I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. You can't, well not easily anyway. The iPad is not meant as a multi account device.
You can Sign Out of your iTunes account in Settings->iTunes and App Stores->Apple ID->Sign Out
However if you sign in with another ID and then download past purchases with it you will lock out the previous ID for 90 days. Which means it will not be able to be used on the iPad for 90 days.

After a little further research, it appears that you would need to create separate iTunes libraries in order to be able to continue to purchase and download previously purchased items on the same computer, for two different Apple IDs. Sorry - but my husband and I have had the library we sync with authorized for so long, that we have not run into this issue, but it appears that you will get an warning when you try to authorize the second ID on the same computer, indicating that another ID is already associated with it.
So, you will probably have to set up separate iTunes libraries for each ID:

When I set up my iPad I was given the option to use different Apple IDs for iTunes and the App Store. I opted to use the same ID. Now I have used the iPad for a bit, I'd like to see if it could replace my iPod. I've Googled around and I can see how to change Apple IDs on the iPad, but not set up two different IDs for use with the App Store and iTunes. Please can anyone enlighten me?

You can use one ID for iTunes/App Store and a different one for iMessage/Facetime. However, you can't use a different ID for the iTuens Store and the App Store as, bascially, they are the same store.

Only @Mac.com and MobileMe Apple IDs are valid AIM names as well (And the Passwords need to be 16 characters of Less - AIM end Issue).
If you have any other form of Apple ID then you will need to register for either an @mac.com name or create an AIM one.
NOTE The @Mac.com Registration requires you link an active Email to the @Mac.com name.
THIS CANNOT BE an Email address you have used for an Apple ID already.
The AIM Registration asks for Email address for Security and Password Recovery and is not Hard Linked in the same way (you could use the same email to set up multiple accounts/Screen Names)
To state things another way:-
A MobileMe ID is an Email address.
It is an Apple ID and will work in those places it is supposed to, iTunes, Apple Support Communities (with Alias set up), Face Time (With Registration) Apple On-Line Store, Mac App Store.
It is a Vlaid AIM NAme as well (If the password is kept to 16 characters or less).
@mac.com names are Apple IDs with the same access as above.
It is a Valid AIM Screen Name.
If it was registered before MobileMe started it maybe linked to a Current MobileMe account as a valid Email.
A Current Registration is purposely for iChat use and Requires a Non Apple current Email that is NOT linked to any other Apple ID
Any other name or Email used to create an Apple ID is not an Email with/through Apple.
It is NOT a valid AIM screen Name.
It is only an Apple ID that allows access to the places listed above.
If it is an email this cannot be used to Register with @mac.com

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't with the Apple TV 2 or 3, with the Apple TV 1, you can choose them from the Airtunes option in the settings menu.
