How do i use FaceTime and iMessage on Ipad and iPhone

I want to use FaceTime and iMessage on my iPhone and Ipad with the same Apple account but also with eachother.

Yes it is possible.
After you activate the apps on all of your devices with your Apple ID - you then have to add another email address at which you can be reached on all but one of the devices - and then remove your Apple ID email address as the contact address on those devices. You can keep the ID on one device as the address at which you can be reached.
It is really very simple to do, but this user posted this some type ago and it explains how to do it. You can also Google it and find other sites that explain it. But here you go ....

HP do not provide any USB connection solution for iOS.
As Active Print is a 3rd party application which provide this functionality, i believe you may find a better help within Active Print support as they more familier with their application requirement and functionality:

Yes, the email addresses need to be unique to each device. You may use the same Apple ID on each device, but the email address used by each device needs to be different.

After software update i am unable to use facetime or imessage

Last night I prompted for a software update on my ipod touch. At the end of the update it said an error had occured, and then prompted me to restore my ipod. Since the time of the restore I am unable to use Facetime or Imessage as I cannot get signed in. When I enter my apple ID to either of these applications it says "An error occurred during activation. I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

No, this is not possible. It would be like dialing your own phone number. You must verify an additional new email address for your second iPad. See the following link which will tell you how to do this. You will need to add this new address to Facetime app in one of your iPads.

I only have one iPad, but was able to add myself to the list of Favorites. When I tried to call, I was not available!
You should also take a look at the Skype App for iPhone. It works on the iPad, where you can choose 2X to expand the display. I haven't tried to add myself to Skype, but have been able to have it connected on both my computer and the iPad at the same time.
You might also consider getting a second address from G-Mail, just for use with FaceTime.
