How do I use hitTestObject to determine if an instruction is to be executed?

...I think in my last post I was trying something that wasn't possible, or correct...
There are 9 Children. The alpha of evt.target changes on mouse click, and a square is added around the evt.target which overlaps the two neigbouring Children.
The number of Children is then 10, and I am trying to detect whether the next evt.target is overlapped by the square before passing an instruction to change/not change its alpha.
I'm using switch defined by the numChildren. But in 'case 10' below I want to check first if evt.target.hitTestObject(square)) before deciding what the new alpha should be.
var square:Sprite = new Sprite();
function onMusicClick(evt:MouseEvent):void {
switch (musicContainer.numChildren){
case 9 :
evt.target.alpha = i+0.5;
musicContainer.addChildAt(square, 0);
square.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, 130, 117);
square.x = evt.target.x-39;
square.y = evt.target.y;
trace("case 9. Number of Children now@"+musicContainer.numChildren);
trace(square.x, square.y);
break;
case 10 :
trace(evt.target.hitTestObject(square)); // true
trace("case 10. Number of Children still "+musicContainer.numChildren);
evt.target.alpha = i+0.5;
musicContainer.removeChildAt(0);
musicContainer.addChildAt(square, 0);
square.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, 130, 117);
square.x = evt.target.x-39;
square.y = evt.target.y;
trace(square.x, square.y);
break;
default :
trace("none");
break;
Is this the right way to tackle this? And if so, do I need to add a condition if to case 10 (is that even possible)?
Thank you!

Hi kglad,
I've decided to use a new means to Enable only the Child's neighbour now (neighbour on the right-hand side only).
At one point, the next neighbour is visually on the next line, below and to the left, and so the Square hitTestObject wouldn't pick that up without a special case for the Child on the far-right of each line.
So I'm using Switch. My code is long-hand to say the least! But it works and I can use this["n"+String(i)].mouseEnabled=true; to reset the enabled Children.
Before I do any more I'm going to clean up all these lines... but thank very much for showing me how to use the loop to detect hitTestObject – that will come invaluable soon enough!

    HI,
    Context objects are alternative to XPATH expressions. It is like macros in other programming langugage. If you define this , you can use this object in the receiver determination while doing conditional receiver determination

  • How can we use cl_gui_html_viewer      in a background process.

    Hello,
    Refering to this thread: Pie chart using Class cl_igs_chart ??
    How can we use cl_gui_html_viewer     in a background process.
    I want to execute a html code in bakground process in abap program.
    but using cl_gui_html_viewer   I have an error with CNTL_ERROR in the method CONSTRUCTOR;
    Thanks

    Marie,
    I don't know about HTML viewer specifically, but whenever a GUI object is needed to be used in background, there is a standard method to avoid CNTL_ERROR.
    When a program runs in background, there is no "screen" and hence no GUI, and hence a custom control can not be displayed. That is why the program generates an error.
    The trick is to avoid creating the custom control in background.
      if sy-batch = 'X'. "background mode
    *   We don't want to create the custom control
      else. "dialog mode
        create object l_container exporting ...
      endif.
    * We really don't need a container for using CL_GUI_ objects
    * Proceed with the normal coding
      create object l_html_viewer
      exporting
        parent = l_container

    Do you have location services turned on? See Settings > Privacy > Location Services
    In any event Maps can be used to obtain directions by supplying the start and end locations after touching "Directions" in the upper left corner.

  • How do I use Port Mapping?

    b How do I use Port Mapping?
    (This document will assume that you are using and ABS/AEBS/AX as an internet router and have DHCP & NAT turned on.)
    Sometime you may want to offer access to a computer on your AirPort network to users on the internet, whether it be a web site, or for file sharing, or just remote access for yourself when traveling. If any of these sound like something you want to do, then you need to understand how Port Mapping works.
    b AirPort as Firewall
    Most of the time your AirPort base station will not let any traffic into your network which did not originate from your network. It will let everything out and replies to your traffic back in, but it will not let sessions initiated on the internet side of the base station in to your network. This is what is referred to as the "NAT firewall" capability of the base station and it provides effective protection for your network from the internet. What Port Mapping does is poke a hole in this wall to allow certain type(s) of traffic into the network and direct this traffic to a specific computer on the network. In the firewall world this is commonly referred to as an "inbound proxy" or "inbound translation" rule or "PAT" (Port Address Translation) in the router world.
    b The Need for Manual Addressing
    Since a Port Mapping entry in the base station configuration requires an inside private IP address to be specified, the computer to which to mapping entry applies should always have the IP address specified in the mapping entry. Thus, DHCP should not be used for a computer offering services on the internet as the Port Mapping entry will no longer work if the target computer's IP address changes. In general, an Apple base station's DHCP server will try to assign IP addresses in the 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.200 range. IP addresses above 10.0.1.200 can be Manually assigned to computers and other devices on the network up to 10.0.1.254. 10.0.1.255 is reserved (it is the broadcast address for the 10.0.1 subnet). To Manually set up the TCP/IP information for a Macintosh running Mac OS X, go to System Preferences -> Network and "Show" the appropriate interface (Ethernet or AirPort) and click on the TCP/IP tab. Select "Configure Manually" and enter the following information:
    IP address : 10.0.1.201 (or whatever address you decide to use)
    Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
    Router IP : 10.0.1.1 (the AirPort base station LAN IP)
    DNS server : 10.0.1.1, or whatever DNS server IP your ISP uses
    After making these changes verify that your computer can still access the internet and local resources on the LAN before continuing.
    b Port Mapping a service
    In our example we will be hosting a web site on a computer which we have given an IP address of 10.0.1.201. Basic web sites are accessed using the HyperText Transport Protocol (HTTP) and this protocol typically uses port 80 to communicate. In order for others to see the web site, we must configure a Port Mapping entry in the base station configuration to not only allow the web browsers in, but to tell the base station what IP address the web server is using. The Port Mapping entry has three parts: Public Port, Private IP, and Private Port. In this case you would use the following values:
    Public Port : 80
    Private IP : 10.0.1.201 (this is the computer hosting the web site)
    Private Port : 80
    In order to access the web site from the internet, users must reference the base station's WAN port public IP (determined by looking at the base station configuration summary page in the AirPort Admin Utility). Since this address may change over time, you might want to use a Dynamic DNS service to simplify connecting for your users.
    Sometimes the port you wish to use may be blocked by the ISP. In this case, use a different non-standard Public Port number for the service, but keep the Private Port standard. In the above example, if the ISP was blocking port 80, you could potentially use 8080 instead, so:
    Public Port :

    Public Port : 8080
    Private IP : 10.0.1.201
    Private Port : 80
    Your users would then have to enter "http://<publicIP>:8080/" (where <publicIP> is the public IP address of the AirPort base station) to access the web site.
    b Internal Access
    It should be noted that when accessing these services from within the network you cannot reference the Public IP/Public Port, but rather you must use the Private IP/Private Port. Thus, "http://10.0.1.201:80/" in the above example.
    b Limits and Options
    There is a maximum of 20 Port Mapping entries that can be made in an Apple base station configuration. If you use an AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express base station there is an option which can be helpful in the case where you need many ports opened to a single computer. This is the "Default Host" option. When using this it is not necessary to use Port Mapping at all as all ports will be opened to the specified "Default Host". This is found in "Base Station Options". The default IP address for the "Default Host" is 10.0.1.253. You may change this IP address. The target computer must be Manually configured as specified above with the same IP address. Since all ports are now open to this computer, you should enable and configure the Mac OS X firewall on the default host computer to protect it from intruders.

  • How can i use a second router to replace verizon fios router?

    Okay so just as the title says how do i use a second router? I got a cisco valet router... I don't know how to use it because the verizon router/modem is wierd i know how to use a router if i only had a modem but fios gives router/modem so how can i use my 2nd router? The current verizon fios router/modem is b/g mode and i wanna change to b/g/n so i can get a better speed from my internet... SO how can i use my 2nd router? I tried this http://www.dslreports.com/faq/verizonfios/3.0_Networking#12506 but i don't get it can someone guide me better or make a video explaination on how to use a 2nd router? I have it connected with see as in pic i connect from my router Internet port to wan port and the ethernet lan port to the ethernet lan port on verizon fios and no work please help...

    OK, so with this, we have a few options. You appear to have a MoCa connection to the ONT, hence the coaxial cable being present.
    1: The ActionTec can be bridged to the Valet router. This will not require any additional cabling, however it will require a small amount of work to have working. You will also require the ActionTec still in the mix, even though it will not be acting as a router anymore with this configuration.
    Visit http://www.dslreports.com/faq/16077 and look at Option 4. There is a thread linked that will allow you to set up the ActionTec as just a MoCa bridge, and will pass the Public IP to your router. You will, in order for this to work once the ActionTec is bridged, need to connect the cable from your Valet router's Internet port, to the ActionTec's LAN port and nothing else goes to the ActionTec. From this point, your Valet should run as your primary and everything should connect through your Valet. If you are adding another router, a Netgear N300, you should perform the LAN to LAN setup, which we will talk about once you've got the Valet working correctly. LAN to LAN configs require a custom setup, so do not set up the Netgear for now.
    2: This is my preferred method, which would be to run an Ethernet cable to the ONT. Option 6 in the FAQ. This will require spaking to Verizon to have them move your ONT to Ethernet, but once they do this, you can disconnect the Coaxial Cable from your ActionTec router, and plug in your CAT5/CAT6 cable from the ONT to the ActionTec's Internet/WAN port. Use the ActionTec to ensure everything is working after the switchover, and once off the phone, log into the ActionTec, perform a DHCP Release, and then prompty power off the ActionTec. Once this is done, plug the CAT6 cable into your Valet router's Internet port. You should from this point, be able to connect to the Cisco, and if the DHCP Lease was broken successfully, the Cisco should begin serving up your Internet connection. If it does not, leave the Cisco powered off for a few hours to break the DHCP lease, and then power it up. If the Valet does not work, still, give the Valet a factory reset and set up this router again, with the Ethernet cable from the ONT connected to it.
    I would just take a good luck at the FAQ linked above again, and see what would work the best. Easiest thing to do is to get the ONT moved to Ethernet, which allows you to eliminate the ActionTec unless you need it in the future for TV service, and also allows you to use any router with ease.
    Once the Valet is up and running and holds your Public IP address from Verizon (use http://whatismyip.com/ to determine this) , and also serves up IPs to devices on your network, post back and we can help you set up the Netgear. If you have any issues while setting this up, fall back to the ActionTec. It's factory reset will work without configuration needed, regardless of you being on Coax or Ethernet.

  • How can I use Drupal as a third party CMS with ATG E-Commerce Application?

    Hi Friends,
    We are planning to use a third party Freeware Content Management System (CMS) for web site content in ATG E-Commerce Application, instead of ATG content Administration or merchandising.
    Can anybody please let me know how can I use a third party CMS(Eg: Drupal) with ATG E-Commerce Application?
    Regards,
    Krishna.

    I did create a rule to determine if anyone coming through time eval is a new hire based on vacation elig. date in IT0041.  It compares Today to the vacation elig. date and if they match, set a time type indicator to 1.  I also added another decision to determine if they were a part time employee and pro-rate their quota entitlement based on what's in their IT0007 weekly working hours.  Instead of setting the time type indicator to 1, I recalculated based on a percentage of 40 hrs/wk and then updated the time type to that percentage.  In my quota generation rule I use that time type as a multiplication factor to recalculate their new pro-rated amount rounded up to the nearest whole number.

  • Use of Receiver determination step in BPM

    Hi,
    I am not clear about the exact use of Receiver determination step in BPM. From my understanding, it is used for synchronous communication with many receivers configured, for eg. Multicast etc. Can anybody explain the use of receiver determination with any specific requirement example.
    Regards,
    Santosh

    HI,
    The usage of Receiver Determination depends on how you have designed your BPM. You can have the mapping getting executed in your BPM itself using a TRANSFORM step or you can do it in your Inteface Determination if you are not doing it in your BPM.
    If you do the mapping inside the BPM using Transformation step, then you need to send the Message i.e. Mapped message . In this case, your Interface determination will only determine the Receiver Interface, and it will not execute the interface mapping . (if you are not providing the Interface mapping in the Interface determination).
    Example is given here-

  • How can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.

    how can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.?
    please explain the important questions.

    How to deal with table control / step loop in BDC
    Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen? Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
    Now with the help of Poonam on sapfans.com developement forum, I find a method with which we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program. Maybe it is useless to you, but I think it will give your some idea.
    Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
    1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
    (the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
    2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
    Now I begin to describe the step to implement my method:
    (I use transaction 'ME21', screen 121 for sample,
    the method using is Call Transation Using..)
    Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop. Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
    (Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
    Now we have : FixedLine = 9
                  LoopLine  = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
    Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
    Now we have: FirstLine = 0
              or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
    Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
    (here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)
    global data:    FixedLine type i, " number of fixed line on a certain screen
                    LoopLine  type i, " the number of lines occupied by one steploop item
                    FirstLine type i, " possbile value 0 or 1, 0 stand for the first line of new                                                               " scrolling screen is empty, otherwise is 1

                    pageno = pageno - 1.
            endif.
    endif.
    line = vline.
    endform.
    Step4 write a subroutine to calculate the line index for each item.
    form calindex using Line type i (visible lines on the screen)

                        LineIndex type i(item index)

            index = LineIndex mod Line.

            if Line = 2.
                    index = index + Line - 1.
            endif.
    endif.
    endform.
    Step5 write a subroutine to calculate the loop range.

                        FirstLine type i

  • How do you use #REGION_STATIC_ID#

    We are doing some calculations using javascript on a tabular form region and I believe I should be using the #REGION_STATIC_ID#. However, I don't understand how to use it.
    Currently, we are running the page and then viewing the source to determine the cryptic report ID. We then use this ID to get the element by ID. I was hoping or assuming that I could do this using the REGION_STATIC_ID.
    Below is some sample code using the cryptic ID report_R5540709783141610.
    function f_UpdateCollection(){
    var table = document.getElementById('report_R5540709783141610');
    var vluArray = [];
    var curArray = [];
    var cmtArray = [];
    for(i=1; i<table.rows.length-1; i++)
    vluArray= $x('f04_'+i).value;
    curArray[i] = $x('f05_'+i).value;
    cmtArray[i] = $x('f06_'+i).value;
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi Brian,
    Not sure how you can use the #REGION_STATIC_ID# but you could create a hidden item and use the following sql to populate it.
    select region_id
    from APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_REGIONS
    where application_id=:APP_ID
    and page_id=:APP_PAGE_ID
    and region_name='whatever'

  • Can I Using Enhance Receiver Determination?

    Hi,
    Can I used Enhanced Receiver Determination to push data to Receiver 2 , based on the response coming from Receiver 1 ( a BPM that that has a synchronous send step and fetches response from SAP through a proxy) ? If yes, how ?
    thanks & regards,
    XA

    We can have just a send step and for that send step we can configure a condition based receiver Determination right?
    yeah correct
    > and Can you throw some light on how to deal with queues, in case if the response doesnt come from SAP to PI due to some reason, which can happen in real time?
    it will thhrow time out exception or message expired exception, if you want to do exception handling do it accrodingly using Control step.

    You can't.  Why do you want to do this?

    I think what this means is "I want to check to see how much hard disk space is available.  Also, I need to check the pixel dimensions of an image."
    Is that right?
    There is no way in the Flash Player (as far as I know) that you can determine the amount of free disk space.  However, in AIR you can use air.File.applicationStorageDirectory.spaceAvailable to determine the storage space available in the application storage directory.
    As far as determining the dimensions of an image, there are plenty of good resources out there on that.  Maybe this one will be helpful to you?

    how can we manipulate it and how they effect on our sap and how can be used it
    best regards
    Atul

    Atul,
    The first thing to check whether you already have them installed - ask your ABAP/Basis Team.
    If not, you then need to determine whether they are include in any hot packs that you may be installing in the near future - again ask your ABAP/Basis Team..
    Lastly - and probably most difficult - check whether you actually need them..
    Also be aware that these notes may require that other notes be installed first (i.e. prerequisite notes).

  • How can i use PCIe 1433 and basler line camera to construct image and pocess it?

    hello! every one ,I am new to machine vision.i have two problems to ask.First,how can i use line camera and 1433 to acquire 2-D image?second,if i want to pocess the 1-D signal ,how can i do it ?i expect for your answer ,thank you!

    What you are trying to do is not something you can easily do in a forum, but I can give you the basics.
    You have a CameraLink frame Grabber (PCIe 1433) and a LineScan Camera
    The framegrabber needs to be configured to understand how to communicate with the camera.  You need a file from the camera vendor.  This file might already be installed.  You can use MAX to check if it is, under Devices/IMAQ.
    Assuming you can get to the point where you can communicate with the camera, you need to configure your acquisition.
    Since the camera is a line scan camera, it captures image data one pixel ine at a time.  You will need to configure the frame grabber to determine how many lines per image you want.  The low limit is usually 1, and the high limit is either based on the framegrabber's internal memory, or that of the computer.
    If you are using labview, you will need to open a sessing to the camera, acquire the image(s), and then close the session when you are done.
    Once the image(s) are captured, you can performa analysis using the NI Vision Toolkit.
    Sorry, but there is no way to condense years into one post.

  • How ERP Movement Type is being determined from EWM

    Hello,
    Could you explain me, how ERP Movement is being determined from EWM goods movement posting?
    For example, when I upload the stock, ERP movement is determined at 561. When we do, Goods Receipt, ERP movement is determined as 101. How this movements are controlled or being determined.
    Regards,
    Sathish

    Hi,
    there are some systemtables, starting with "/SCWM/TIMBWA*", which are being used for the determination.
