How do I use iCloud so that it transfers photos from iPhone/iPad to computer, but not vice versa?

My iPhone tells me it has run out of storage and it is because of my photo/video storage. There are about 400 photos that are in my photo stream on my phone from my Mac that I don't need to be there. Is there a way to stop the transfer from my Mac to iPhone and iPad, but still have them automatically transfer from these devices back to my Mac? Help!

Photostream is different that iCloud backup, so whether or not it's backed up yet has nothign to do with you seeing her photos.
If her the photos are appearing in your photo stream, then you two are sharing an iCloud account for sharing photos.
On your daughter's device in Settings --> iCloud --> Account, which account is listed? It should be your daughter's AppleID (iCloud account). Photos should be turned on.
On your device, in the same location, your account should be listed.
There are multiple places where AppleIDs can be used, so be sure you're looking in the place I described above.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

How do I prevent iCloud putting all my daughters photos (from her iPad mini) onto my iPad?

Her mini has my Apple ID for apps and purchases but her own Apple ID for anything free like iMessage and FaceTime, game centre etc. I've just noticed that all her photos are in my photo stream, guessing it happened through iCloud. I really don't want all her stuff clogging up my iPad and definitely don't want her getting ALL my stuff - although it is helpful to be able to have music on both and share apps etc.

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

You can copy them via your computer's iTunes - you can't connect an iPad to iPod for direct transfer, though if you iOS 5 set up on both devices and iCloud enabled you might be able to re-download some of your iTunes purchased music on the other device.

You need to sign into your iCloud account on your Mac, and check the Calendar option. System Preferences>iCloud, sign on your iCloud account, check the apps you want to sync with your device.

I've downloaded a lot of free indie music through itunes, and itunes has graciously stored all of my purchases on iCloud. The thing is, I deleted A LOT of that music from my computer, but not from iCloud, and now it's all showing up again. I had a similar problem when I updated to iTunes 11. The problem seems to have been solved by doing the following:
Edit > Preferences > Store. Then unclick "Show iTunes in the Clous purchases". I hope it works!

Lost iCal data after attempt to use iCloud...possible to sync from iPhone to Macbook?

I attempted to enable iCloud on my MacBook Pro, and after seeing that it was deleting all of the data on my iCal, I realized that it wiped out all of the data on my iCal . I stopped the iCloud sync quickly after.
However, my iPhone 4 has a recently synced copy of all the data, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to transfer the events on my iPhone to my Macbook?
I am running OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

I believe sync is working. I think IOS 6.1.2 caused some new attribute in the event record that Calendar doesn't recognize.
I do not use iCloud (had the same problem with multiple duplicate events which took hours to fix) for calendars or contacts. I sync wirelessly with my MacBook Pro once or twice a day: very painless.
Since I updated my iPhone to IOS 6.1.2, events created on the iPhone do not show up in Calendar. Events created in Calendar do show up on the iPhone.
I also have an iPad which I updated to IOS 6.1.2 over the weekend.
If I create an event on the iPhone, then sync with the Mac, then sync the iPad, the event shows up on the iPad. The only place the event could have come from is the Mac. Calendar still does not show the event.
My guess is that there will be a Calendar update soon. I hope so. It was driving me nuts.
