Only @Mac.com and MobileMe Apple IDs are valid AIM names as well (And the Passwords need to be 16 characters of Less - AIM end Issue).
If you have any other form of Apple ID then you will need to register for either an @mac.com name or create an AIM one.
NOTE The @Mac.com Registration requires you link an active Email to the @Mac.com name.
THIS CANNOT BE an Email address you have used for an Apple ID already.
The AIM Registration asks for Email address for Security and Password Recovery and is not Hard Linked in the same way (you could use the same email to set up multiple accounts/Screen Names)
To state things another way:-
A MobileMe ID is an Email address.
It is an Apple ID and will work in those places it is supposed to, iTunes, Apple Support Communities (with Alias set up), Face Time (With Registration) Apple On-Line Store, Mac App Store.
It is a Vlaid AIM NAme as well (If the password is kept to 16 characters or less).
@mac.com names are Apple IDs with the same access as above.
It is a Valid AIM Screen Name.
If it was registered before MobileMe started it maybe linked to a Current MobileMe account as a valid Email.
A Current Registration is purposely for iChat use and Requires a Non Apple current Email that is NOT linked to any other Apple ID
Any other name or Email used to create an Apple ID is not an Email with/through Apple.
It is NOT a valid AIM screen Name.
It is only an Apple ID that allows access to the places listed above.
If it is an email this cannot be used to Register with @mac.com

I've had an iPad for almost two years. When I purchased an iPhone last fall I set it up to use the same Apple ID as my iPhone. I've had no problems doing this. Try resetting each device and see what happens.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

If you don't have iTunes installed on your laptop then you can download and install it from here : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You can then log into your account on it via the Store > Sign In menu option (on iTunes 11 on a PC you can get the menus to show via control-B) :
And you can then select the Store on the left-hand sidebar (you can enable the sidebar via control-S), and then browse items in the store and buy them by clickin on their price.

The answer is YES. with no problems. In fact you can connect up to FIVE units in one itunes (But no more). I have no idea why OR who was the FOOL, that picked only 5 units. This has set limitation on their own product. I currently use 5 Apple Tvs at work for a interdepartmental media network. It just runs slide shows and training video's. I needed 9 units up and running, So I have another computer just to pickup the last 4 units, and shared the file folders I run 5 units at home as well. However you have to leave that itunes up and running. The five authorized limitation is also a pain. Steve said he was dong away with DRM, I guess that didn't work out to well. In short, I run 5 laptops, 3 desktops, 1 Mac Pro, 4 Ipads, 4 Iphones AND one Mac Mini with server 10.5.6 for a family of 4. The FIVE number limitation is a major pain. Best of luck to you.

Make a new Apple ID for her.
Use it on her iPhone 4S for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.
Use your ID on her iPhone 4S for iTunes and App Stores.
Sign in with your Apple ID on iTunes Store (on iTunes app of her new computer)
Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one.

"phone registration ID" - do you mean iTunes Store account ID? If so:
Settings > Store > tap ID > Sign Out > Sign In with correct ID and billing info.

I wanted my teenager's AppleID to be different from mine so that she couldn't charge stuff to my AppleID, therefore I created me another one. I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. She wants to sync her iPod and also backup her iPod at both places. Both PCs have been authorised. Thanks

You get an option to take a SnapShot.
Quicktime will also be able to access it and record using Quicktime X in Snow Leopard.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't with the Apple TV 2 or 3, with the Apple TV 1, you can choose them from the Airtunes option in the settings menu.
