How do I use my I'd for the app store and not my wife.

IT always ask for my wife password and I need it to ask for my password. So I need to change it so it will show my ID and not hers.

Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and you can then log in with your account. But any apps (and other content) that were downloaded by your wife's account will remain tied to her account, so only her account will be able to download updates to her apps

Why is it in someone else's name?
Did you get this iPhone from that someone else?
If so they should have released the iPhone form their account before giving it to you.
All purchases made with that account will be forever tied to it and will require it to update in the case of Apps.
If nothing has been purchased, you can go into Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID and sign out of their account there , and sign in with your own.

My device keeps prompting me for the password every few minutes after updating to iOS 8, and I've tried every option possible to retrieve the password, but I don't even know the answers to the security questions and I can't find the password reset email anywhere and I don't know the back up emails my mum used. I literally cannot find any legitimate way to sign out of the initial iCloud account without entering a password (which neither I nor my parents know). Is there a way for me to retreive the password or change to my new account without the password?

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. If you are running MacOS X 10.9 and Aperture is installed in your Applications folder and simply called Aperture, not Apertre 3 or something, the AppStore should be showing you the update.
Have you already updated to Aperture 3.4.5 from the Support page Aperture 3.4.5?
Try to update manually to 3.4.5 and then reboot and sign again into the AppStore with your AppleID and look at the Update page.
For some forum members it helped to set the main system language to English U.S. to make the update finally show.

How do I delete credit card information for the app store?

Right, so here's what happened. Got into this game that I recently downloaded through the app store, came to a road block were I could either wait days to get the in-game money I needed needed to move on or pay $1.99 and get it over with. I had a gift card with $3 still on it and thought "why the **** not?" Problem now is that I can't update any of my apps without this notification coming up and saying that I need to update my card. I've tried going through my account settings on my phone but I don't get that "none" opinion that everyone is talking about. How can I delete that card from my account? Do I need to call someone or just use up that $1 I have on it?

I would try iTunes as well to see if you get the none option available there. I think what may be contributing to it is, even if the app is .99 cents with tax, that will put it over the 1 dollar left in your credit, there by needing a credit card to cover the tax.

We're looking to set up and use two Apple Ids, so each can make and control their own app downloads on an iPad Mini.
This is our first experience in the ios environment and we're a bit lost with how to handle the Apple ID settings, specifically for app downloads, less for iCloud. On previous Android app stores, there was no need to give an ID + password for each single download.

That's not going to work. You can only sign into an Apple ID on an iOS device once every 90 days. An iPad is a single user device. Yes, you can comingle the content from different Apple IDs on the same iPad, but it is best to download and comingle the content in the iTunes library of a single account on a Mac or PC and then to sync the comingled content to the iPad.

When you redeem an iTunes gift card it is simply added as credit to the Apple ID of your choice. Once it is on the account as credit it can be used for anything you can purchase with your Apple ID (apps, music, movies, rentals... Anything ).

To answer the question: Yes, the App Store will continue auto-updating all apps, even if you turn off all notifications/alerts for the App Store, and move it down to the "DO NOT INCLUDE" section in Settings > Notification Center
