How do I use Podcast Capture?
I am trying to use this application, but it asks for a server, name, and password.
What is the server supposed to be? And does the name and password pertain to my name and my own password?
If you need to ask, you can't use that application. If you're trying to record a podcast episode, use video recording software such as the QuickTime Player.

Using Podcast Capture with a mobile me feed?
Hi, I have a mobile me account with about 5 gb in memory. I was wondering if I could use podcast capture (snow leopard 10.6.2) and use my idisk in mobile me as my feed/ server to connect to. I will eventually be publishing my podcast to Itunes and I am trying to figure out how to either get a free onlien server or use mobile me... Is there anyway to do this? If not what solutions do you recommend thanks, cmacintosh
Podcast Capture needs to work in conjunction with Mac OSX Server and Podcast Producer: as I understand it, it's not intended for the ordinary OSX.

Problem posting to group wiki/blog using podcast capture
I am having a problem posting to 2 wiki blogs using podcast capture and montage workflow. A similar montage workflow works great on another group wiki blog. I am getting this log error:

Use podcast capture to capture more meta data
Hey guys,
I'm currently working with a group of local colleges in the UK to produce a system which uses Podcast Producer and Podcast Capture and is then fed into our front-end.
The problem is, we want all the podcasts categorized accordingly. Is there a way, without creating a custom workflow for every possible subject/level/type, that we can make podcast capture prompt for more information before submission?
The 'userRequirements' part of the default workflow's plists make it seem like this was a planned feature, but adding more entries into the userRequirements doesn't make it prompt for them. Any ideas?
I've got a distinct feeling this isn't possible, but i wanted to ask before developing a Plan-B.

i need view two or more vedio in one frameIf you mean iTunes Store accounts, there's really nothing for you to do. Just add the tracks to the iTunes library and play them. Music purchased prior to late-2009 will been to be authorized, though. Pull down Store > Authorize... and type the credentials of the Apple ID used to buy the tracks.

I want to use the purple podcast logo, are there permissions for this, since it's being used in itunes? Are there other sites where you can download similar looking podcast logos?

eMac Mac OS X (10.4.6)You might want to look at GB3 support page, maybe. I know the loops are royalty free. And as long as you don't sell them as loops you can use them as you like. I don't have GB3, but if there's stuff you can use, they "probably" have some sort of provision covering it in writing somewhere. If it has any type of Apple logo or something showing it was made using GB3, perhaps THAT is the intention. To let folks know you did it on a MAC with GB3. Using Keynote with Podcast Capture and Dual Screens
Hi everyone,
We are trying to use a dual screen setup to record some Keynote presentations using Podcast Capture (i.e Dual mode, with the Keynote presentation in one screen and the presenter in the other).
The problem we are having is that when in full screen mode, Keynote takes control of both displays, thus stopping the Podcast application from being displayed. Even if we switch off the Presenter Display on the second screen, the second screen turns black.
I know we can start and stop recording with hotkeys, but we would prefer to be able to see the Capture app in one window with the presentation full screen in the other.
Perhaps this is just an oversight on Apple's part, but I'm finding it hard to believe its not possible. If anyone else has a workaround then please share.
Thanks.Other applications are not visible when Keynote is playing back. Keynote takes over control of the graphics system when playing back presentations to enable Keynote to display properly.
When I play back Keynote and I want to look at a second application, I use a second Mac. -

I cannot find any docs on this. I can use Podcast Capture/Podcast Producer when I am IN the network, but not when I am away from the office.

Use a capture device twice at the same time?
I have write a application using JMF. But I have a big question that how can I use a capture device several times at the same time????
For example:
I create a player to play video from my webcam on my PC ,and then I want to send the video stream from my webcam to another PC at the same time. But I failed--only one task can work.
For example:
1, I write a class Player and another class RTPTransmit. Then I send the same medialocator to two of them. Then there will be a exception said that capture device is in use. And only one task can work.
2, I write a class Player and another class RTPTransmit. Then I use :
dataSource1 = Manager.createDataSource( locator );
dataSource2 = Manager.createCloneableDataSource( dataSource1 );
then I send dataSource1 to Player object to play video on local PC and send dataSource2 to RTPTransmit to send video to another PC. But only one task will work too.
My question is that how can I use a capture device several times at the same time???

Podcast Capture start/stop shortcut key
I am attempting to create a podcast using Podcast Capture. The podcast will include a Keynote presentation. Podcast Capture does not start when I use the shortcut key (command F2) while playing the Keynote presentation. I have selected the “Allow Exposé, Dashboard, and others to use screen” option in Keynote’s slideshow preferences. Can anyone help?
I figured it out. The keyboard settings in System Preferences needed changed.

Newbie - Podcast Capture Screen capture
Using Podcast Capture, I was wondering if there was a way to switch from recording a video podcast to screen capture podcast all in one go? I don't think there's a way around to record a podcast for both types at the same time. Can someone clarify this?
That's not possible for the current version of Podcast Producer. Snow Leopard will allow you to capture both screen and camera at the same time.

I used to sync my podcasts to my phone individually, but found out that the Podcast app works better for me. It continously downloads the podcasts (not really sure when, that's the only thing, when its downloading it may use data depending on where you are) and also deletes the ones i have listened to. Hopefully that will help you out!

Hello Everyone. OK I upgraded to OS X Mavericks without thinking that by doing this would stop me using my Epson 4990 scanner as no driver / software currently available - OK my fault. Anyway as Epson have not yet provided an update (yet?), all advice being recieved is use "Image Capture" for the time being. I have tried this along with using the "Help" files but unfortunately dont seem to be be any assistance. In simples terms I just wish to scan film negative strips (and transparencies) but it dont seem to be possible. Could any member advised how to get solve this problem as I am in the middle of a major scanning exercise with the worst case senario that I wil have to revert to my Windows based laptop to carry on and temporary reduntant my iMac which defeats the point of the exercise. Thank you in advance (hopefully)

When using tethered capture I often get this notification "The metadata for this photo has been changed by both Lightroom and another application". This slows or stalls the loading of incoming photos. How do I find out which other application is changing the metadata and stop it?

I've had a look at the TC settings dialog and tried to keep it as simple as possible. I also had a copy of LR 4 on the hard drive so have trashed that also incase of any conflicts. LR seems to be running ok now but as said it's an intermittent problem.
I also have a copy of Capture One on the hard drive so am going to uninstall that also in case it is trying to launch. -
