How do I use Quicktime Pro to watermark videos for YouTube?

I'm interested in uploading videos to YouTube. I got Quicktime Pro so that I could watermark my videos so people could know who made them. My movies are in mov. format. I learned how to attach text to the video, but it just shows below the box where the video plays. When I upload the video to YouTube, it doesn't show the text/watermark that I wrote. i'm just trying to make a simple statement, nothing fancy. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

The trouble is caused by YouTube and their conversion process. They do not allow multiple video tracks (or text tracks) and only one video track is converted.
You'll have to add your watermark or text track and export it again (rather than Save As) to make it one track. Your text track and video track will be merged into one track.

Some DVDs and Blu-Ray movies come with a "digital copy" that allows you to download a copy of the movie for use on computers and portable devices. You might see if any of the DVDs you have come with such a feature. Walmart/Vudu also has a service that basically gives you a digital copy of a DVD you already own. See:

  • Can I use iMovie to create a video for youtube using an MP3  and a video?

I have some music I've recorded on Logic Pro that I'd like to post on youtube and am trying to figure the easiest way to link it with either still photos or a video so it'd be OK for youtube. What's the best way to go about this please?

just drag 'n drop your jpg and your mp3 into the timeline of your Project - done.
Depending on what version of iM you're using, you can directly upload from within iMovie, or you have to export first, then use YT's upload web interface ...
in case you own a licence of Quicktime Pro,  open a jpg with it, open in a 2nd window your mp3, select all, copy, paste to picture - done .. no 'fullsize editor' needed.

You can't...The video is streamed. One of the biggest draw backs to steaming a video is you can't download it..(draw back for end user)........ You can use a program to capture the video on the monitor.

  • PPT to DVD using Quicktime Pro

I am trying to transfer a Powerpoint slide to a DVD. I had heard it could be done using Quicktime Pro. I have made the PPT a .mov and can get it to open in Quicktime, but the animations and timing does not transfer. A 5-second PPT is coming out as 17 seconds long. How can I fix this?

QuickTime Pro doesn't export to the MPEG-2 format so it doesn't make DVD's
Your profile says you're using a Mac.
Export your .avi to DV Stream (.dv) format (make sure you can play them with QT first).
Use iDVD to burn your DVD. It will convert your .dv file into the MPEG-2 format used on DVD's.
If you don't have a built in DVD burner you may be able to use a Firewire external. Check before you buy to be sure it is compatible with iDVD software.

  • How can I get quicktime pro 7 running

I bought quicktime pro 7 a couple of years ago and have a registration code.  At the time I used the program to make some time lapse movies.  I'd like to make a couple of time lapse movies again but quicktime pro 7 is no where to be found.  This probably ha something to do with updating the os between then and now.  The question is how can I get quicktime pro 7 running again?  The unlocking instructions I have for quicktime pro 7 that I received with the key do not correspond with what the system preferences now show.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  I am currently running OS X version 10.9.5 on an older iMac.

Open the QuickTime 7 player(if it’s not installed, click here), choose Registration from the QuickTime Player 7 menu, and supply your key there.

  • I am using quicktime pro for apple codecs and  adobe CS6 cant see them. I am using win7 64bit op sytem. Help please...

I am using Quicktime pro 7 the latest, on a win7 64bit PC machine.
Adobe Premiere and Encoder cant see it; has anyone had troubles and
how do i fix this problem..help. I am try to use the apple codecs for
    digital editing "apple prores 422".

    Hi Gary
thanks for your reply, look I was loading the latest Quicktime and paid for the latest version of Quicktime Pro for windows as well as updating Itunes. After restarting my PC, the apple codecs would not show in the codecs list when i was preparing the output specs which are for the Australian broadcast which my boss wants of:
    1280 X 720, 25fps and Apple codecs prores 422.
Look I was wondering is there any area of Quicktime Player Pro that I have to turn on or off, I just wonder if I have to do something in Premier Pro or the other adobe program encore to convert certain levels of film from one level to another, as the camera crew I was with had 5 different levels of film to convert to the above format.
Do you have any other ideas that come to mind, I have had some troubles in the last six months with Indesign and Adobe pdf maker, I have alot of sucess with adobe before. I gratefull for any other hints. Cheers Hound Puppy

  • Video conversion using Quicktime Pro (Which Export Settings?)

I tried converting videos (.avi) to .m4v so that I can play them on my iPod Touch. However I am having problems.
iPod Touch documentation says that the following video file formats are supported by iPod touch:
    A H.264 (Baseline Profile Level 3.0)
    B MPEG-4 (Simple Profile)
    My question is:
    1. Can anyone show me how can i covert to those format using Quicktime Pro? And please do let me know which exact EXPORT setting I am supposed to use. I used EXPORT> Movie to iPod . It did not seem to work.
    Thanks in Advance.

I use it on a 24" iMac C2D running at 2.33GHz with 3GB of RAM, and it's much quicker than a regular QT export and a bit quicker than VisualHub. I won't quote a time to encode a "2 hour movie" because there's a lot more factors involved like resolution and original file encoding but the device is faster than using the twin cores.
No, it won't work with Handbrake, nor VisualHub for that matter. It acts as a plug-in (albeit hardware) for QT and any application that uses QT for export can utilise the turbo.264.
One other (for me big) advantage is that Elgatos own software for using the turbo.264 supports AppleScript and hence Automator.

  • How do I 'buy' Quicktime Pro?

I am new to Mac and trying to set up the new Mac for Video Editing.
I tried buying Quicktime from the Apple site - but it wont accept my Australian phone number, I tried everything but it would not take my money. Finally I called some friends and they said it was because of different pricing arrangements and said I had to load my software from the Australian shop. What the? - so instead of paying $29, I went to the Australian online shop - which charges $49. Ok, I got over that after some ranting.
Then it says when I 'buy' it, it will send me a password to enter into Quicktime 7 Preferences - but First it says I need to download Quicktime 7. So I did that, but it refuses to load this, as the Mac says to me that there is ALREADY Quicktime X loaded on my machine. So I look - and yes I have Quicktime 10.
So if I have ten and I cant get 7, how do I upgrade to Pro?
The entire object is to set up Final Cut Pro - however I need to convert all the other types of movies that FCP cant handle. And I am led to believe Quicktime PRO 7 does that to at least some of the videos I have.
I have heaps I need to use - and they are
    .3gp
.avi    (which I want to use Quicktime Pro to convert)
    .DIF
    .flv
    .mpg
    .mpeg
    .m2v
    .mp4
    .mov
    .wmv
But - to start with - how do I get PRO to load?

According to the various support notes - if I have FCP installed first (I have) and then I install QT7, it should automatically become PRO. It doesnt. So now what?
    Any ideas?
Re-run the FCP installation. I believe it has to "see" QT 7 while installing before the FCP installer will upgrade the QT 7 Player to QT 7 Pro. (Same solution if the automatic "Pro" registration is lost during OS upgrade/installation.)
With Regard to QT 7 registration, if you actually purchased a QT 7 "Pro" key and did not receive the email with registration name and key number, then contact customer service at the online Apple store where you purchased the key. (Be sure to have purchaser order information available.) Non-receipt of confirmation email may indicate the "key" was not properly generated. If they can confirm this, then your money should be refunded and, since you no longer need the key with FCP use, you should be good to go...

  • How can I reinstall QuickTime Pro on Win7?

I purchased QuickTime Pro in September. Then this week, I upgraded my PC from Windows XP to Windows 7. In doing so, I had to wipe out my PC's partition and re-install every program back on my PC.
This has been a relatively painless process, except for QuickTime Pro. I re-installed Quick Time 7 (the free version) on my PC but there appears to be no way to upgrade the free version of QT back to Pro without purchasing this product all over again (and I refuse to do that).
I've tried talking to Apple's technical support. They've given me directions written for previous versions of Windows, but there appears to be no instructions for how to upgrade to QT Pro if you have Windows 7.
I've been on the phone with their technical support for the past two hours and no one at Apple appears to know how I could reinstall QuickTime Pro.
    I'm astonished.

Here's the link to retrieve your lost registration key http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2376
What version of QT did you have on XP? If you had QT version 6.X pro then you would have to purchase a new QT pro key for QT 7. As Apple releases complete new versions of QT they require a new pro key, updates to a version do not. In other words the pro key for QT 6 does not work with QT 7.
And if you were using QT pro 6.X you cannot revert back to that version. Because QT 6 doesn't support windows 7

I used to shoot video in my Powershot S3 IS (Format MVI_.AVI) and load them into iPhoto, I used quicktime pro so I could convert for emailing to family members.  That was when I was running Leopard now with Mt. Lion nothing works.  Videos do not open at all.  Any simple suggestions, I am not real keen on iMovie Productions and not real certain how they compress for emailing attachments.  Something simple here that I am missing?  Thanks so much.  I am a grandpa trying to share with family members far away (quickly & simply).

I am surprised that Apple did not build a converter into Mt. Lion.
Apple does have a converter built into Mountain Lion. It is call "Quicktime." However, in order to use this converter, you must first make sure the compression formats are playback compatible with QT. Basically, there are three levels of QT compatibility. The lowest is "Playback." These file can be played by QT but may not be conversion or edit compatible with QT. The second level is QT "Conversion" compatible. These files are playback compatible and can be converted to other compression formats using QT. "Edit" compatible media files are "Fully" compatible with QT since the can be played, converted and/or edited by QT. The main problem here is that AVI is a "legacy" file format that has not been officially supported by Microsoft for more than 11 years when it was replaced by Windows Media multimedia file/compression formats. Many of the original compression formats used in AVI files have never been transcoded for the Mac platform, use beyond system 9, or use beyond PPC platforms. In addition, some commonly used AVI codecs are proprietary or use non-standard (hybrid) profile and level combinations. In short, there is little wonder that Apple has been distancing itself from this outdated file type as it re-writes and upgrades its own QT structure to support more standardized, more scalable, more modern high definition file types and compression formats. It is really unfortunate that users continue to use this outmoded file type simply because it is freely available, easy to use, or they are simply too lazy to move on to a more modern or more efficient file types and/or compression formats.
I tested Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate for the Mac, which seems to be the "state of the art".  I may be purchasing a new camera which might create a whole new set of variables.  This program seems to cover all bases and is great for novices.
There are many third-party apps available if you wish to search for them. Many are even available in the App Store. Most do their job well and it is usually a matter of personal user preference as to which is best.
HandBrake seems more suited to folks with more experience and knowledge.
I mentioned Handbrake primarily because it is free and easy to use when you employ the included conversion presets options. (The TV options can normally be used for almost any situation depending on the source file and output requirements.) It is also excellent for more experienced users, but has a somewhat limited choice of output options as it does not access the user's system QT codec component configuration.

You used the data.  Verizon can not see what it was sued for.  However your phone can see whats apps used the data.  go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle.  line the dates up with your cycle.  then there will be a bar graph below that   extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right.  after those are extended below that will be a list of apps,  there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Firefox, I would make sure you update your Desktop to Firefox 14.0.1, as the version you are running is quite old and out of date.
Then, do you have your Sync Recovery key, username and password? If you do, you can re-add Firefox Sync to your computer.
