How do I use safari v8 to navigate as I did with my former safari versions?

I just got a Mac Air with OS X Yosemite (Safari V8). I cannot figure out how to do the simplest thing! .... like navigate to see the yahoo or google web site home page --- even when I set up my preferences. The tutorial did not help - is there an article or info on this? I have been a Mac user for years and this browser is sooo different, I do not know where to start!

You may find a lot of sites don't work well with that version of Safari. Gmail will certainly complain, for example. Yes, I'd start using Firefox.

How do I use iCloud to collaborate on a GarageBand project with a remotely located musician? He is in Valencia, Spain, I am in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We'd like to be able to work on the same GarageBand document together, laying down tracks, etc.
Is there a tutorial I should look at?

Are you using GarageBand on a Mac or on an iPad?
With iCloud you can store your GarageBand projects in iCloud, so you can work on the same project on all your iPads, iPods, iPhones, and transfer it from your iDevices to your Mac. But you cannot use iCloud to share a project between people with different AppleIDs.
To send GarageBand projects back and forth, compress the the ":band" files and mail them, if they are small enough or put them in a Dropbox or other cloud storage and mail the link.

How do I use Safari RSS?

I have RSS in Mail and it is straightforward. Just click on one of the folders. Subscribing to a site is easy also since a window will come up with 'subscribe in Mail' as a choice on the site I am subscribing to. I have not noticed one for Safari. I explored Safari and the only page I could find for RSS is in the bookmarks list that comes up after clicking the open book on the toolbar. I do not want to use Safari RSS if it does not have a listing of all new RSS's that come in daily. I would like to transfer all the Mail RSS's to Safari if Safari has as handy a page. I could not find a real explanation about Safari RSS in support.

Someone sold me a bad IMEI AT&T iphone 5. I had an AT&T iphone 4 with straight talk prior to buying this phone. I didn't know the IMEI was bad so I bought the iphone 5 hoping to switch. I cut my SIM card and put it into the iphone 5. Everything worked perfectly fine so I went ahead and gave the dude the money. I went to sleep and wake up the next day and try to make a call and I get a message saying my phone has been blocked from the network. I contacted straight talk and they thought it was a problem of theirs so somehow they got my phone to work again. Everything was good , calls, texts , and data. 2 hours later, the same problem happens. So I call straight talk again , tell them the problem. They fix It again, 2 hours later , THE SAME PROBLEM. I gave up this time and began looking for answers. Is there any way I can use this iphone 5 with straight talk ? There was a comment I saw through my search for answers where if I get another straight talk sim everything would work again. Is this true? And i can not remove the APPENDING CORRESPONDING. because i have to append the data after fetching from the tables. if i will not use it will delete all the data fetched earlier.
