I have begun to use my Surface 2 (RT) to put together my powerpoint presentations for work. I am constantly using PDF files and using adobe snapshot tool to cut and paste pictures and charts from the PDF files. On the surface, the only adobe version is the Reader Plus. I have not figured out a way to use the snapshot tool and there is likely not one. I am hoping this will be added in the future. If anyone knows a work around then please let me know.

How do I use snapshot or copy and paste an image in Adobe reader with windows 8?

Two things:1) how do I copy and paste images from a PDF into an email? It will not let me do it anymore. Also, how do I save a PDF document with all it's content? Now when I save a proof part of the content is not there when opened in CS6.

Does anybody know how to configure memory snapshots? I want to call the /HMUSA and have a look at the snapshot using the Memory Inspector. But I would like to get a itemized list of the memory used, for example for the TTAB buffer I would like to know which process or transaction has used certain amount of memory in this buffer. Thanks in advance.
PS: I am using a system for test purpose and I am the only one using this system (it's not a system used in a real company, and I have an administrator account).

System Preferences > Accounts > Your Account
Select current Pic and chose to Change it.
You get an option to take a SnapShot.
Quicktime will also be able to access it and record using Quicktime X in Snow Leopard.
Check the Menu items for New Recording.
MSN for Mac can use it (It depend on version and in some cases whether you are connected to the correct type of Windows server)

That is not part of Firefox. It is either an add-on for Firefox which you installed, or it is a separate program you have.

This can be accomplished 2 ways that i know of ffmpeg and PHP with the php way flash takes a snapshot of the videoframe and then sends it PHP to be saved as a jpeg....with the ffmpeg way you simply batch process the entire directory holding the flv wich is external to flash although this can also be automated using PHP........I can send you a package containing both methods but installation will be up to you.............unless you wanted to pay me to help. I'm busy and can't do probono work right now.

Want to setup collections, how do you use them?

Now that I have all of my photos imported into LR and in the process of applying metadata, i would like to implement Collections. This would all be for family/travel related photos and I was curious how others are using them. So if you could please share a short description of how you are using them, that would be great.

dj paige covered the mechanics of setting up a hierarchy. The details, I think, depend on how you think you will want to search in the future. With your example I'd set up a hierarchy like this:

and so on. The keywords in brackets / capital letters are not exported - they are just for organization. I put possible synonyms in parentheses (..).
I don't include dates because they're already in the metadata and you can easily filter for them or create Smart Collections.
I would give all pictures of Baby the "Baby" keyword and then create a Smart Collection for "Best Baby Pics" (>= 4 stars).

How are people using ZFS?

I made the switch from an mdadm controlled RAID5 to ZFS. I am curious how others are using ZFS. I watch Ben Rockwell's talk on ZFS[1,2] and am finding that I am not using most of the advanced features it offers. It got me wondering how others are using it.
My setup: 3 HDDs in a RAIDZ1 in a dedicated box. I am not using snapshots, or other advanced features. I literally have all 3 drives mounted to /mnt/zpool and that's it.
How I use it: I boot up the NAS once or twice a week and run shell script that uses rsync to move over pics, videos, files, etc.
I guess I could create a vdev under my zpool specifically for documents, and enable snapshots for just that part of the zpool. The majority of my content is user generated images which will not change.

I use ZFS on a FreeBSD file server using 3 mirror pairs. I decided to use mirroring instead of raidz because drives are cheap, you get better read performance, and the zpool grows easily over time when failed devices are replaced with larger ones or extending with more pairs. I also use snapshots and ZFS send/receive for incremental backups over the network.

Is there a reason why you want to use Edge Web Fonts with Adobe Muse?
Assuming you wish to improve typography of your web pages, you should know that Muse is fully integrated with Typekit. This allows you to access and apply over 500 web fonts from within Muse. Here's how you do it:
Select a text component within Muse, and click the Text drop-down.
Select Add Web Fonts option, to pop-open the Add Web Fonts dialog.
Browse and apply fonts per your design needs.

Yes I know that CTRL-SHIFT-E opens the panorama window, and then I can use the mouse to organize my tabs into groups.
But how do I do this with the keyboard?
