How do I use this darn thing

Ok, well, I am a software junky. There is not much I do not know about my pc. Refused to cosider a mac ever, and then I got an ipod. That made me a little less doubtful of apple. Then BF saw the 24" flat panel intel processor imac, and I said he could have it since it had a built in camera, but I'd never get on it. Well my pc is outdated (over 6 years old) and I started checking this puppy out. Now I am like woah, this is great! I have lots of friends that are"computer geeks" and they are pc only geeks. Not one of my friends has ever owned a mac. And one will not talk to me if I mention mac.
So, I love to know what all my computer can do and would appreciate any books or websites that show the ins and out of this computer.

BTW, supposed to be bf's computer and he's only been on it once in 2 days (for 45 seconds) to check a football score I haven't gotten off the computer except to cook and go to work.

At first I updated iTunes and tried to download an audio book. It locked up and closed me out so I removed iTunes completely and reinstalled. Now it won't even open the stupid program. What do I need to do? Any help please????????

Had same problem and solved it without having to reinstore any music or movies:
1. Delete old Library file
2. Go to the 'Previous iTunes Libraries' folder and copy one of the earlier files - note, they have a date extension, e.g. 'iTunes Library 2011-11-01'.
3. Paste this file in your iTuners folder and rename file by removing the date extension - 'iTunes Library'
You should have all your music and paylists in tact, unless it was a really old previous file.

Just purchased, followed what I think are the directions and don't get anything except to hook the ipad to itunes with the cable. Took my laptop to itunes, signed up, downloaded quicktime, hooked up the ipad and still nothing. Ready to kill right now. I know it is something simple and stupid, but......

Have you downloaded and installed iTunes? You need that to activate and set up the iPad. Download and install iTUnes, open it, attach the iPad and, within a minute or so, your device should pop up in iTUnes and there shoudl be an onscreen set of steps to follow to set things up.
Just make sure to plug your ipad into the main box, not a hub or keyboard.

GSX, if you're referring to Apple's service by that name, is available only to employees of Apple-authorized service providers or self-servicing accounts. Unless you are employed by such an organization, you cannot access GSX. If you are employed by such an organization, they should set you up and give you the appropriate login information.
If you are interested in becoming a certified Apple hardware technician, you can find information here:
http://training.apple.com/certification/acmt
Please note, though, that certification does not in and of itself give you access to any of the Apple resouces for support organizations; diagnostic tools, parts ordering, etc. You again must be employed by an authorized Apple support provider before you can gain such access.

There are ThunderBolt to FireWire adapters.
As far as I know there are no FireWire to USB 3 adapters.

Set up the account using a desktop or laptop, then sign
into that account on your iPhone.
I am not aware of any method around the restriction once
the maximum has been created on any individual iPhne.

I thought So too but then I went to Itunes Library and try and buy a single song from an album for $1.29. Now my Itunes Gift card balance is $ 7.10 as I mentioned earlier. it still did not let me buy and kept trying billing my Visa card.
Should I restart my PC and Itunes and retry. What do you suggest?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You could sign up for iTunes match and use iCloud photo library with optimisation enabled. The later will keep optimised photos on your device and iTunes match will let you access your whole collection and make room for newer content by removing older unplayed items.

It will display the rest of the values which u can capture them using internal tables.

Where did the phone come from as most of the UK carriers unlock phones, but the fact that you are now abroad may be a problem.

First, the iPhone would need to be unlocked. That would depend on where you bought it. Next, the North American phone would not work with all of the networks outside of the US. Also, the warranty for the device is only good in the US, so if you have a problem with the phone, you would need to bring it back to the US to an Apple Store. Where did you purchase the phone?
