How do I validate Photoshop licence when reloading onto the same machine?

After a hard disk crash, I am reloading Photoshop CS4 onto the same machine as before but the serial number is invalid. It's the same software on the same machine with the same serial number. Please does anyone know what I have to do to validate it?

You need to call or use the web form or chat to contact support on such matters. Nobody here can do anything for you, not even the employees - without a case number, nobody can track things and speed up matters.

Certificate validation when server is the same machine as client

Hi guys i realize this is the most talked question about jsse, the validation of local certificates.
I found a 2001 o'reilly page where they explain what is jsse and gives a complete tutorial of it.
It comes with a sample secure http server and browser, and when i try to connect to the server with that browser it bombs out with the "couldn't find trusted certificate"
Having read some posts here and googled around i found out that this sometimes happens because the name on the signed certificate does not match the url accessed from the server.
So, if the server and client is on the same machine (127.0.0.1) and my machine name is FJL, can someone explain me how should i run the keytool?
This is what i have been using:
keytool -genkey -keystore certs -keyalg rsa -alias espectro -storepass serverkspw -keypass serverpw
The keytool then prompted me for information to put into the certificate. My answers are shown in bold.

So i use the keytool again to do what it is suggested:
keytool -export -keystore certs -alias espectro -file server.cer
then:
keytool -import -keystore jssecacerts -alias espectro -file server.cer
the jssecacerts file is located on the dir where i did the keytool thing, so i copy it to c:\j2sdk1.4.1_02\jre\lib\security
and finally i try to connect to the secure httpserver found on that url with the secure browser found there too and i get the "couldn't find trusted certificate"
could someone please explain me how to fix it? the article is kind of old and lists some properties which i haven't been able to find, along with some .jar (the article is dated before java 1.4 was available) and maybe i am doing something wrong.

go in to itunes then go to the itunes store once loaded click store in the menu then deauthorise this PC and it will deauthorise it for you

Why is video so choppy in Firefox when Chrome on the same machine is fine

For a number of years now video and firefox are not 2 words I would use in the same sentence. I have had to install Chrome for 2 purposes, one to allow access to a corporate gmail account and the other reason is to view any type of web based video (youtube, BBC iPlayer etc).
I can't help the gmail reasoning and it keeps things sane when working from home but I resent having to switch from my otherwise favourite browser to watch video when I used to be able to do it in Firefox.
It's not machine specific either, the issue has been plagueing firefox for years through a number of reformats and clean installations, its just laggy. Adobe isnt going to own up to a faulty product and to be fair it all works fine in other browsers, when can we see it acknowledged and possible addressed?

I have trouble adding attachments to my emails in my yahoo-account - how do I fix this ? When I try the same files on a PC it does work...

Since a few days I am no longer able to attach certain files (ppt, pdf, jpeg) in my emails on my yahoo-account. I click the attach button, go to my file and select it - and then the signal keeps running and running, and the file doesn't attach. Sometines I get an error message, but not always. The files are not very big ones (3 or 4 MB) - well below the 25 MB that is the maximum. Some files do attach - I cannot figure out why the others don't.
When I use my husband's PC, I can attach the "problematic" files without any trouble. When I work with gmail on my Mac, again no problem.
I tried the help desk of yahoo, but they could not solve my problem up til now. Is this a Mac problem, or a yahoo-problem ? I don't know where to look for a solution, but at this point I am pretty desparate because I cannot work without both !
Has anyone a suggestion what I can do about this ?

I have intermittent problems attaching files in Yahoo mail and this is usually the reason. I'm also using an iMac (10.7.3) and this is likely the problem.
It is generally a Yahoo issue rather than a Mac problem.

How can I run both Leopard and Panther on the same machine?

I currently have a Powermac G5 with Leopard running nicely on it. I have 2 hard disks.
What I would like to do is install OS X 10.3 on the machine so that I can switch between the environments - please can someone explain how to do this?
I'm assuming I need to partition one of the hard drives and have done with the second hard disk (not the startup disk), but I'm nervous about what to do from there and really don't want to mess up what I've already got - please help!!

if you have two hard drives the easiest might be to install panther on the second hard drive. this way you don't have top partition anything. make sure the drive is properly formatted it should be formatted mac os extended journaled with APM partition scheme. then just boot from the Panther install disk and install panther on the second drive. note that this will only work if your mac originally came with panther. did it?
to switch between installs you can change the startup disk in system preferences->startup disk. then reboot. alternatively, reboot normally and hold option at the chime. this will boot you into startup disk manager where you can choose which drive to boot from.

How to use Forms 5 and DevSuite 10g in the same machine

I have installed forms 5 and IDS 10g in one machine and both the versions of the forms were working simultaneously. Now I have un-installed both the versions of the forms and re-installed in the same machine. Installation was successful. but I am not able to connect to the database in forms 5. It shows TNS could not resolve service name. TNS is created in both the versions with same name as well as different name. The IDS is working fine. Please help.

What error are you getting? One potential problem you will have with more than one version of Oracle Dev Suite installed is keeping the TNSNAMES.ORA synchronized. I've found the easiest solution to this problem is to add the TNS_ADMIN registry key to each Oracle Home so I can share a single copy of the TNSNAMES.ORA file. You can add this entry by starting the Window Registry editor (regedt32.exe or regedit.exe) and navigate to the following registry hive:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => SOFTWARE => ORACLE => HOME? (where ? represents the number of the Oracle Home, eg., 0-9).
In your example, Forms 5 should be in HOME0 and IDS 10g should be in HOME1. Open each home and add a new "String Value" and name it: TNS_ADMIN. After you have added the new String Value entry, edit the String Value and enter the path to the copy of your TNSNAMES.ORA that is working. Then do the same thing with HOME1 and exit the Registry. You should be able to connect to your database with Forms 5 and IDS 10g. Normally, changes to the registry do not require you to reboot your computer, but I have seen where this is necessary - though not very often.
Note: Always ensure you have a BACKUP of the Windows Registry before you make any changes. If you uncomfortable modifying the Windows Regisitry, then I don't recommend you make this change.

You are seeing the message because the new AirPort Extreme has some specific System Requirements:

AirPort Utility 5.6.1 in Snow Leopard may or may not work correctly with the new Extreme for all functions. As long as things are working OK for now, you can probably leave them "as is" and wait for another Mavericks update to fix some issues before you "upgrade".
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you could use that to administer any settings changes on the new Extreme.

I already tried reloading ITunes and it still doesn't startup.

You didn't mention but are you still running a version of iPhoto older than iPhoto 11?
If yes, then go to the App Store and purchase the iP 11 app and install it. Back up your photo library first.
Once iP 11 is installed and has imported all your photos do a restart of the Mac.
This should resolve most issues with iTunes 10.6 and you should be able to run iTunes and sync up your iOS devices.

Those filters work best when the foreground and background colors in the toolbox are different.
Try pressing the D key on your keyboard to set the defaults of foreground Black and background White and then try the Filter>Sketch>Photocopy.
