The only way is to restore from a useful backup, if you have one.
If you sync the iPad to iTunes and use Time Machine regularly, you would likely have the appropriate backup to restore from. In that case:
Restore the iPad backup set from Time Machine from a date before you overwrote the bookmarks. The location of the backup is ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ (you can get to it by pressing Cmd+Shift+G in the Finder and entering this path).
Connect the iPad, run iTunes and restore from the backup.
If you use iCloud Backup, then you can restore from iCloud and choose which date's backup you'd like to restore from. You can check if you're using iCloud Backup by opening the Settings app on the iPad, then going to the iCloud submenu and looking at the status right below "Storage & Backup", where it would say "iCloud Backup is off." (or "iCloud Backup is on.", as the case may be).
In any case, keep in mind that restoring from a backup means you lose all application data changes after the date of the backup.

I am fixed. Called Apple support and got help. Here is the fix that worked for me:
Hold down shift key while you restart your computer. Hold shift key down thru it all. This takes a lot longer that regular restart. Screen stays grey, while grey wheel spins and then a grey progress bar will appear across the bottom. You will be rebooting into safe mode when sign in appears.
Rebooting in safe mode cleans your caches among other things. Your Safari font cache had become corrupt and this clears it.
If you are connected to the internet thru a modem you can try logging onto icloud and fonts should be strightened out.
Becuase you are in safe mode, you cannot connect to internet thru a tethered smartphone (iphone or other phone). You will have to restart computer again and then launch safari to see that fonts are staightened out.
This corrupt font cache is common. Clearing out the contents of the cache is usually the solution. Do not remove the cache folder.

How to fix UI breakage after ESR update to 31?

Hello. I just updated my firefox to the latest version. However, on the first run I couldn't help but notice the worst breakage at least since FF4.

The tabs are utterly broken. The only other part of UI that I actively used, the menu bar is gone, replaced with something that is wrongly positioned (tabs used to be on bottom), less functional (my buttons, customised menus and buttons are gone) and larger.
I see that I can get the menu bar back, but I can't get rid of the large piece at the bottom, which makes the exercise useless.
I can probably move features there, but:
* can I remove it? I really see no benefit.
* If no, can I get a real menu in it and
* can I make it appear above tabs?
And tabs. This is just awful. TabMixPlus used to be my biggest reason to use FF. No other browser scaled to well over 100 tabs.
Now there's a big conflict between the plugin and the new UI. What happened? How do I fix it? This is pretty much a show stopper, I can't live with FF that looks like this and I don't want to live with one w/out good tabbing support, which will force me to stay with the previous version. I don't want to do it again....

(1) Multi-row was never a built-in feature. TabMixPlus still has that option ([http://tmp.garyr.net/support/viewpage.php?t=3&p=display-tab-bar help page]), and I haven't seen reference to any problems with it in the current version. Could you verify that it's still selected in TMP's options?
(2) userChrome.css does have a capitalized C and goes in a chrome folder inside your currently active profile folder (this folder does not exist by default in recent versions of Firefox). http://kb.mozillazine.org/UserChrome.css

Step 1: Update the b_id column. change C4000 TO NV500 for eff_dt '1/31/2007'

It sounds like your iPhone was placed in Lost Mode, but then it was found.
You can turn off Lost Mode by following the steps in the "Turn off Lost Mode or change your contact info" section on this page:
iCloud: Use Lost Mode
If your device was erased, you may need to re-enter your Apple ID and password first. This is a feature called Activation Lock:

Once your iPhone is reactivated, you can set up your device as new or restore from a backup:

If you erase then find your iOS device, you can restore the information on the device using iCloud Backup (if backup was turned on before you erased it) or iTunes. After update to 24.0 all Firefox icons were reset. Not just the Mozilla Firefox icons, but all shortcut icons, incl frequent sites, tasks, Pinned shortcuts. Shortcuts even inside the browser are set to rectangle with blue banner at the top with red and blue dots inside.

Hi Thomas, that icon doesn't sound familiar, but if it's the default icon, it could indicate some corruption in the Windows icon cache. These articles have steps to repair that, but I've never tried it myself:
