How do I view photos in alphabetical order?

How do I view photos in alphabetical order? I have a little over 65,000 photos and I have them ordered alphabetically, first by folder, then by photo. I would like to view them in this way with the new Photos App but do not see an option to do so.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Sort options are very limited in this 1.0. version of Photos. In some views you can change it (in the View menu) from By Date, to By Title, but that's about it. Definitely an area where more features need to be added...
You can request features, point out bugs, etc, at Apple Feedback pages:

Or directly for Photos:

  • How to view photos in alphabetical order

Well I have about 300 photos that need to be ordered alphabetically but my iPod touch does it by the date taken I believe and so this is no good for me so is there any program that will allow me to batch change date taken, on photos and with time/date difference between each photo otherwise the only other way I can think of is manually doing it one photo at a time. My OS is windows 7 and all of the photos are PNG format although I'm sure I could change them if necessary.

This link should help. It was discussed on the iPad forum.

  • Viewing Photos in Album Order

How do I view photos in Album Order I have created in Photoshop Elements album in Revel mobile album ??

    This might help:
in sort by 'Oldest' the arrangement of images in album is same in both adoberevel.com and in Elements  Organizer.
In sort by 'Newest', if it is not the same, and if you want to make it look the same, you can open Organizer preferences, navigate to 'General' category and click the radio button for 'Show newest first within each day' and then close the preferences. Once done, the order of images on adoberevel.com and in Organizer will be same.

  • How do you play photos in random order?!?!?

This is apple right? You can do things very easily, thats why I switched from PC. How do I view photos in random order in iPhoto? The help menu says to choose the "Shuffle Slide Order"... WHAA? Where is this on the menu, am I doing somethig wrong? Please tell me I am just missing the obvous.
    Thanks!
    B

    Hi Brian,
I am assuming you are talking about an "on the fly" slideshow.
Select the images, album, roll, etc. and hit the Play button on the bottom left of the window. In the next window, check "shuffle slides order"
Pssst...just a little hint, you will not find shuffle on a permanent slideshow menu for an option.

  • How do i view photos in macbook pro, and while viewing how can i delete the unwanted photos with delete button?

1 My questions are about viewing and managing photos from a folder.
    a. How do i view photos in macbook pro - i know the space bar thingy but does not help my purpose?
    b. While viewing how can i delete the unwanted photos with delete button?
    c. How can i increase the size of the photos that i am seeing in the form of icons?

double clicking in iPhoto will open the photo.
The left and right arrow key will move between photos, as well as swiping on a trackpad or Apple mouse.
See >System Preference>Trackpad or mouse  for options and tut
While selected or in the smaller icon view hitting the Delete key will delete the pic.
Command Z will undo the last action taken.
Periodically you have to empty the iPhoto trash.  iPhoto drop down menu>empty trash
Same applies for viewing pics in a Folder NOT in iphoto,  Use the up and down arrows does not work in Preview, but as you know in QuickLook (spacebar) the up and down arrows will navigate.

  • In Lion 10.7.5 is there a way to view files in alphabetical order in column view?

In Lion 10.7.5 when viewing files/folders in column view, if I select arrange by name it does not sort the names alphabetically.  Is this a bug or is there a way to view files in alphabetical order in column view?

I've been using Column View for years and have it set to None:
It has always shown in alphabetical order automatically.

  • How do I view photos in iPhoto  on apple tv

How do I view photos that I have in iPhoto on my apple tv?

Your iPhone is using airplay to stream from one IOS device to another. On the computer you use home-sharing which is done through iTunes and requires it to be running
The only other option is to mirror your laptop, if its a 2011 or later model running Mountain Lion (10.8) you should see the icon in the top right

If you have older hardware or are running an older OS there are 3rd party options like airparrot

  • How do I view photos in I cloud

How can I view photos in I cloud after I delete them on I pad due to lack of storage

You can't view your Photo Stream files at iCloud using a Web browser.
They are merely pushed to your other iCloud enabled devices or computers.

  • How do i view photos in the cloud that i have deleted from my device?

how do I view photos i have backed up in the cloud but have deleted from my phone?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you've deleted them from your phone, they may have been removed from your back up, if you have them in photo stream, you should recover them as quickly as possible.

  • How do you view photos that are backed up on icloud

How do I view photos that are on icloud on my personal computer

Photos in an iOS backup cannot be viewed, not until you've restored the backup to a device, and they can't be viewed on a computer.
I'm assuming you are refering to photos in an iOS backup from a device and not photo stream, which is not a backup.

  • HT201077 How do I view photos saved to "the cloud" that are not in my latest thousand??

How do I view photos held "on the cloud" that have dropped off the phone, ie, are not in the latest 1000 stored.
I cannot seem to find this "cloud"!

hi guys thank you for the replies, sorry I have been away.
I am confused then - I have had to buy more icloud memory recently (2 of us use it with phones etc and so share pics, music) but I thought this was because its saving more photos?
So no idea why I have to buy storage if you now say photos arent saved?
If gone from the last 1000 they are lost? I dont have a Mac just iphone/ipad.
Sorry if Im getting it wrong!

How can I view photos I downloaded 2-3 years ago and which suddenly seem to have disappeared. Only photos taken within the past 12 months are visible.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto. Version 8.1.2
    - What version of the Operating System. OSX 10.9.4
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
When I open iPhoto, only the most recent photos are shown (last 12 months)
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages? This has been going on for several weeks now. There are no error messages, but yes, I had an update in the system (QuarkXPress 10.1), and the problem has occurred from that day.
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue. I tried to find out where the problem came from, but found no solution.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto? No
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
Thank you so much for offering help. I am not a proficient user of the system.
