How do I watch Flash video content on iPad2?

A large amount of video content on the Internet was created in Adobe Flash format. The iPad2 does not support Flash, which limit's its utility on a number of the websites I frequent.  This shortcoming was a big surprise after I purchased the iPad. Is there an Apple app available or under development that can play Flash video? Other sites talk about cracking or other techniques to force Flash to run on the iPad, but I'd like to know what Apple is doing to plug this hole?

You have three choices.
1. Just forget about Flash as I have.
2. Try the alternate browsers that King_Penguin suggests. Also search the App Store for specific apps that will handle content from specific sites.
3. Return or sell your iPad and buy a device (other table or a laptop) that will handle the Flash sites you want to visit.

  • HT6074 How can I watch flash Videos with the ipad with safari?

I Have an iPad an I'll watch flash Videos with this. But there is no Flashplayer. Is there any Plugin?

There is no Flashplayer for any iOS device and there never will be. Flash is replaced on iOS devices by HTML5 which is a superior technology endorsed by both Apple and Microsoft as well as almost everyone else in the industry except Adobe.

  • I can't see my taskbar anymore in fullscreen mode while watching flash videos. how do I fix this?

I used to be able to see my taskbar while watching flash videos full screen. now I can't. I end up missing messages and worse yet, the low battery warning on screen and my computer shuts down. I have firefox 24.0.

Hi, I don't know how much help this screenshot is going to be but here goes. I used to be able to play flash videos full screen and see my taskbar on the bottom. Last week I think (not really sure, since it updates itself) there was a flash update. After the update, when I make the videos fullscreen, my taskbar disappears. Now I have to come out of fullscreen and check for the battery life and messages constantly. There's no "on top" setting for the taskbar in windows 7 but it is set to lock.

  • How to watch flash video on ipad2

how to watch flash video (like on MSN, ESPN, etc.) on ipad2?

Flash is not available on any iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/
Some sites have their own apps in the App Store, s you could try looking for your favourite site there. Apart from that there are apps such as Skyfire that claim to support flash, but their reviews are mixed.

  • How can I watch a video clip in my iPad 3?

I just got an attached video clip from my brother, sent to my hotmail. When I open the clip, it just shows an overcrossed play bottom! How can I watch a video clip in hotmail, using an iPad? Do I need to download an app or what? Please!?

Well on a Mac you can install
    Flash
    Silverlight
    Perian
    VLC
    Flip4Mac
    DivX
and many other codecs/tools to watch anything.
Guess the iOS isn't really all that it's cracked up to be, ignoring the wider world out there.
Your only choice to complain to Apple about closed devices they make, but of course they know this already and using the iPad as a cheap "netbook" halo effect device so you get to upgrade to a Mac, just like they do with iPhones and iPods.
In the meanwhile they are slowly closing the door on OS X, a little at a time so it's not noticeable.
Pretty soon the excuse will be "sorry I can't play your video you sent me mom, I've got a Mac"

Use the iSwifter browser from the app store. Works for most flash content.

  • AVCHD Renamed becomes a useless folder! How do I get my Video Content to read?

I renamed the file named "AVCHD" after transferring it from my camera to my HD. Now, when I pull up it's info, it says that it is a folder, rather than "AVCHD Content." Quicktime won't open it or any of the files in the folder, and FCP X won't recognize it at all. How do I convert the file back to AVCHD? How can I read the video content on it? When I look in the folders, I'm sure the files that has my video content is under the extension .mts  Within the AVCHD folder that I renamed, there are folders named: CLIPINF, PLAYLIST, STREAM and two files named INDEX.BDM, MOVIEOBJ.BDM The files with the .mts information, which I'm sure is my videos are in the folder named STREAM
    What do I do?!?!?!

There are some codecs that Quicktime or iMovie are not able to read - not all apps can read absolutely every format. That is why there are converters available. I have used MPEG Streamclip (free) for some time, but even that cannot read everything.
    As you can see here:
Computer playback — any media and target format that is supported by a particular computer hardware and software can be watched on a computer monitor or TV set. Presently, the open-source VLC media player plays AVCHD video files and a wide variety of additional formats, and is freely available for most modern operating systems (including Linux, Mac OS X, MS Windows) and some mobile platforms. Since Mountain Lion, Mac OS does support native AVCHD playback via the default media player, QuickTime.[25] Some Windows 7 editions can import and play AVCHD video natively, having files with extensions M2TS, MTS and M2T pre-registered in the system. (Windows 7 starter edition does not support AVCHD files out of the box, and so requires a third-party player.) In editions of Windows 7 that do support AVCHD files, Windows Media Player can index content in these files, and Windows Explorer can create thumbnails for each clip.[26] Windows 7 does not support importing of AVCHD video metadata such as thumbnail images, playlists, and clip index files. Joining AVCHD video files during the import is not supported either.[26]
you can also download VLC which will play it. Above is an excerpt from here:

  • Best way to watch flash videos??

Hey so I really would like to watch flash videos for either movies or clips, what is the best way/app to watch flash videos whether the app is free or not it doesnt matter.
could someone tell me the most effective app and has experience with it? Thanks!

Search the app store. There are several alternate browsers that advertise the ability to play Flash content. However many people report very mixed results since the way these browsers work is to send the Flash content to a server to be converted to iOS format and then sent back to the browser. The bottom line is that Flash has never been supported on iOS so take that into consideration.
Most of the big web sites have long since supported iOS for video. I watch video clips, YouTube, etc. all the time on my iPad and don't really run into many sites that won't work. I'm sure there are and the best course of action is to encourage those sites to get with the plan and support mobile platforms like iOS and Android.

  • How can I watch a video? I can hear it but I can't see it.

How can I watch a video? I can hear it but I can't see it.

    Hi,
Unfortunately the number you've posted is not the Model or Product No. - see the guide on the link below for details on finding this information.
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
In the meantime, try a clean installation of the flash plugin/activeX as follows.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows, open your Download folder and run the uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, use Recovery Manager to reinstall your original graphics driver(s) - see the guide on the following link on how to use this software to reinstall drivers.
    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.
After this reinstallation, restart the notebook again, then download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.  Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
When the installation has completed, restart the notebook once more.
    Regards,
    DP-K

  • Can anyone tell me how to embed a flash video stream in html5

Can anyone tell me how to embed a flash video stream in html5. I have a video stream but would love to be bale to get it to run on ipads so would like to know how to embed the flash video stream in html5 http://www.ravedance.net

    Gary, thank you for responding:
    1) I know my "profile" indicates I'm on Mountain Lion.  I have not figured out how to update that.  I am using Yosemite and Keynote Version 6.5.2 on a 15" Macbook-Pro  (tell me how to update my profile, please - nothing I click on opens any kind of "edit" options)
    2) My 20 sec video does play in Quicktime.  I find nothing in the Quicktime Inspector about deselecting "start movie on click."
    3) in my slide presentation I can insert the video on a slide okay and if I click on it can get it to play, But I cannot seem to get it to play after a transition automatically.  Maybe it cannot be done.  Obviously I would like the entire presentation to play automatically without clicking on or between slides.
Again, thank you for you kind help!

  • How to make adobe flash player content on websites run on safari browser of my ipad?

How to make adobe flash player content on websites run on safari browser of my ipad?do I have to install adobe flash player on my ipad ?

The flash add-on is not available for Safari on iOS. Never has been and in fact Adobe has ceased support for flash for mobile devices in general. Your options, depending on the specific sites:
See if the site or sites in question have their own apps availabel in teh app store
Look into some browsers such as Puffin adn iSwifter (there are others, I beleive). These browsers use a third server site to translate the flsh content into a form that the iPAd can use and restreams them to you. They may not work with all content.
Use a computer capable of running flash.
Seek a source of the conent that is designed for non flash use.

  • How can you view flash video on ipad

Is there an app that you can get that will let you watch flash video on your iPad? Since adobe flash is not supported on iPad

You can try one of the app/service combinations for playing Flash such as Skyfire , Puffin, or iSwifter. One of those might work for you, though they all have limitations and do not work with all Flash-based sites and services
    Regards.
