How do Install and make FFmpeg work with Video DownloadHelper?
I use FireFox v.29 in Windows XP; I installed Video DownloadHelper. I want to convert the videos as soon as I download them. In the preferences of the extension there's a box that says "enable conversion". As I check that box I'm asked to install an external application to do that. I press the button that says "install/update converter". This opens a page of the official site of Video Download helper. It says I need to install FFmpeg to convert the videos. I go to ffmpeg.org to download it, the download page tells me I must dowload it from http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/. So I donwload the 32-bit static build and I extract its files from the compressed folder.
That's as far as I go. There's no installation file inside; there are three executable files inside: ffmpeg,exe, ffplay.exe, and ffprobe.exe. I've opened all three of them and entered the Video DownloadHelper preferences after that. The problem is that when I try once again to check the box for "enable conversion" I'm once again told that I have to install the external application. What am I doing wrong?
In the official site of Video DownloadHelper there are a step by step explanation but for another converter: ConvertHelper, so they aren't really helpful.
Can you please help me?

you should use the JDeveloper version matching the WLS version of your Forms installation. E.g. WLS 10.3.6 --> JDeveloper 11.1.1.6. JDeveloper 12c is set up with JDK 7 by default and JDeveloper 11g with JDK 6. So creating PJC in 12c has a the risk of minor major version mismatches when running the PJC in Forms as your Java Plugin for sure wont be of JRE 7

Most of these integrations are prebuilt. Look for AIA/PIP.
If you check out the presentations from OOW there were session on how other customers have done this.

How to Install and integrate the Portal with a external DIT
We have an existing enterprise directory with more than 1000 users.
The existing system runs on Portal 3.x and has a profile directory for the portal system and the enterprise directory is used for Authentication.
We are migrating the Portal to 6.x and the requirement is to have a single directory server for all the applications ( portal ,messaging and calendar).
The problem is the enterprise directory also manages other applications and has a entirely different DIT to that of portal .
Can the Portal , Messaging and Calendar point to a different DIT ..
Just a small example for the problem we face here.
The actual portal install has a

But the existing Production system has the following DIT

It will however be a tricky config with the default tools.
When you add a user with the portal gui you will miss some classes needed for mail and calendar. If you add the user in the mail console you will miss some classes for the portal.
You have to use a tool that adds all the required stuff for the user in ldap if the user shall be able to use the portal, the calendar and the mailsystem. But of course... you have the ldap console...

I'm on a Macbookpro on 10.6.8. I want to send email via Filemaker Pro 10.0v1. Thunderbird 31.0 is my default email client. I think I must also configure mac Mail somewhere in this process. These emails will go out on 5wcw.featheredpipe.com which is on webmail through my website. Will this complicate things?
Please excuse me if I'm not using correct jargon here - this is new to me. FM support advises to use Eudora - hopefully that is just old info and Thunderbird will work.

LindaSounds like the real question is how to configure File maker to work with Thunderbird. Most applications like that just use the default email client. If that is not working you should ask the File Maker people how their software works.

It collapse, shows the menu buttons but doesn't close back once it reaches the anchorpoint.Muse won't let you, at least not that I know of. You could find the class in the code that muse gives it position: fixed…I think. You could paste it into the head area of your page properties to override the class. I believe something like this would give you persistent nav bar, pinned at the very top, on mobile:

I wouldn't use any parallax on mobile either, the performance is terrible. -

Rajesh PIn order to create and develop a webcenter portal application, you only need to install JDeveloper and download the WeBCenter extensions. That's true.
But this install does not include the WebCenter services like dicussions, document services, analytics,... If you want to use these and integrate them in your portal, then you would need to install the suite as described on my blog. -
My iPod Classic is seen by Windows but not by iTunes. I have reset it, gone to disk mode and it won't show up in iTunes. There appears to be music on it in a file called MUSICSAVE. How can I get this to work with iTunes again?
1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

How do I get my newly installed airport card to work with SKY?

Here's an interesting one for all you good people. Just bought and paid for an airport extreme card to pop into my little lad's G5 iMac, running Tiger(gggrrrrrrrr etc).
Managed to install it without a hitch.
Trouble is when I try and set it up to work with my SKY router (UK) it keeps telling me that my password is incorrect. The fibber! I know it IS correct as it is the one that SKY gave us and that we have successfully connected both my wife's MacBook and my own MacBook Pro with.
I have tried messing about with all kinds of configurations, but the set up assistants seem more bothered about yapping on about airport base-stations and computer-to-computer networks.
Now don't go telling me I need to get a base station to make it work. Please.

It does work on and off though. It works more often when the other Macs in the house are running (What-the-flip???)You can't. Theoretically, Thunderbolt devices that only transfer video and audio should work with Mini DisplayPort MacBooks like yours, but it's not the case of the Thunderbolt Display. Its firmware doesn't allow it to be used with non-Thunderbolt Macs, so you can't use the Thunderbolt Display with the Mid 2010 MacBook Pro.
Instead, you have to look for another screen, or you can get an adapter and connect the MacBook Pro to a TV -

Where is the Apple problem? I have CS4 and CS5 running perfectly fine on my Macbook Pro. Installed 5 after Lion upgrade. Worth every cent. Adobe did have some catching up to do with Lion but with the CS5.5 update all runs fine. But not yours. So it is a problem with the Lion OS? You say you have been with Adobe since 2005. So you would be aware of all the other issues that Adobe had catching up with past Oss in Mac and Windows then. They get it right, but it is up to them. It is not up to Apple, nor Microsoft for that matter, to run around and check that every software developer in the world is running their business properly.
And what has politics got to do with anything. Some people just have to blame Software for their poor Hardware maintainence of failure of the same.
