    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

    how to find my lost ipad without apple id ? i wanted to report but i got no serial number of it. i tried to find by using 'find my iphone 'app but it cant show me the place of my ipad ,i think the person has signed out my id. i have got some important info and photos in it . how to find the location of it in short time ?? thanks !

    This is what you can do:
    Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
    If the thief was able to turn off Find My iPhone, then your password must have been easily guessable (or the thief knows you) and you will not be able to find your iPhone.  Otherwise, click the "Find My iPhone Overview" from the above article for more information.

  • I upgraded to ios5 and now I can't log into my ipad with my password.  How can I fix this?, I upgraded to ios5 and now I can't log into my ipad with my password.

    I upgraded to ios5 and now I can't log into my Ipad with the password I had set and been using for the last 2 years.  What do I need to do to get logged in?

    You will have to format your iPad.  Looks like that's the only way to reset your password.
    Formatting your iPad
    Turn off your iPad, turn on iTunes, hold large button down on ipad while connecting the white ipad cord to your Pc.
    When the window prompts format iPad,let the button go and press format button on iTunes.
    That is how I solved the same problem.

  • How can I get new iPad  without camera?

    Dear friends.
    I need iPad without camera in my work place.
    Can I get iPad 4 without camera? Where? How?
    Can I change my iPad 1 softeware and put iPad 4  software?
    Can I put iPad 4 inside iPad 1 case?

    First of all, you can't purchase an iPad 4th Generation without a camera. Second, iPad 4s won't fit into iPad 1 cases, (some may, but the majority won't), lastly, why would you need an iPad without a camera?

  • How can I reactivate my iPad without the original apple-id?

    Hello Community,
    I bought my iPad (3rd gen) two years ago (64GB WiFi Cellular).
    After using it for a year i gave it to the son of a friend for some some month to use.
    When I got it back, it was locked and the boy forgot the code. So we did a reset to factory defaults.
    Now the iPad asks to be activated again with the apple id of the boy.
    The problem is: He has no access to his apple id anymore. He cant remember his apple id, his apple id password nor the password he used for the mail account for the apple-id. He doesn't use them anymore. We tried to reset the apple id, but it didn't work.
    How can i reactivate my deleted iPad without the original apple-id that was used to lock/link/configure it?
    Any help appreciated

    You're in a tough spot.  Activation lock was enabled on your iPad, so without the unknown ID's you won't be able to reactivate the iPad.  You're only option is to take the iPad to an Apple Store Genius Bar and maybe it's possible if you prove you are the original owner of the iPad, they'll help you.  If you can't prove you are the original owner, you're really out of luck.

  • How to get the jar file without knowing its name and any class inside it?

    Hello, everybody!
    I would like to know if there's a way to get a reference programatically to the initial jar without knowing its name and any class contained in it. By "initial jar" I mean the jar that was called in the prompt, like this:
    java -jar jarfile.jaror in another way, in a graphical system. To be sincere what I really want is to get a reference to the jar's manifest, but I know if I can get a reference to the jar I can get a reference to its manifest file. Or if you know a way to get the manifest directly, it would also help. So, is there a way to do this?
    Thank you.

    Can you be more specific - IOW, can you cite a specific case?Absolutely. I want to access the jar in source code with the java.util.zip.JarFile class, for example.But why? You still haven't provided a use case or explained what you're trying to accomplish. As already pointed out, whatever you're trying to do, this is a brittle solution. If you explain what you're trying to accomplish with this, somebody may be able to suggest a better approach.jverd, I explained for baftos. Anyway, I will try to be more specific. I start my sytem like this, from, say, for example, jar1.jar:
    import br.product.System;
    public static void main(String[] args)
        System.start("NameOfTheSystem");
    }The System class is in util.jar, for example. This jar is used by all systems. I wouldn't like to pass in the name of the system, as above. I would like that the System class could read it from jar1.jar's manifest file. I just would like to have this:
    import br.product.System;
    public static void main(String[] args)
        System.start();
    }It is more elegant and I don't have the name of the system in two places: code and manifest file.
