  • APPLE CARE - How do I find out the date of purchase of my mac?

    Can anyone point out how do I find out the exact date of purchase of my mac? I would like to purchase the apple care extended warranty and I do not recall the exact date of purchase of my mac...just before or after a full year...? Can I look it up anywhere?
    Many thanks in advance for your help.
    Max

    You can go to this site,
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do
    it tells you when your warranty expires which is 1 year after you purchased it, thats possibly the easiest way, but if you bought it from a store it may be different as it may be the date they purchased it.
    With the extension program, if i purchase one now, my MBP was purchased april last year, will the extended warranty ad onto the date i purchase the extension program or from april last year when i purchased the mbp? I'm wondering because if purchase it now that effectively makes it covered for warranty for up to 4 years!

  • How to block the Statistical delivery date in purchase order from updation

    Hello All,
        We have the following requirement from our client.
    The client wants to track the delay in delivery of purchase orders raised to vendors. Currently the users, change the delivery date and then process the PO if there are any delays. The client wants to STOP this and track any changes being made.
        We created a new screen layout for purchase orders and checked the Statistics relevant delivery date as DISPLAY
    However, when we tested the same, the statistical delivery date was changed along with delivery date, when the delivery date was changed in the Purchase order, though the option for statistical delivery date was seen a DISPLAY field only.
    Please provide us your suggestions on any other options available.
    R's
    Manoj.

    if your client wants to track the delay of a delivery from your vendor, then he has to give the vendor a chance that he can deliver on time. And the usual way to do this is by sending the PO to the vendor.
    if you cange the delivery date before output of messagem then your vendor could not even know the original delivery date, so it is not the vendors fault if he cannot meet this date.
    if you change the delivery date after output of message , then the statistical delivery date will stay with the old date.
    the field is always open to maintain because it is not always the vendor who is reponsible for a delivery date change.
    if you want to change the delivery date because you can take the quantity at that date, then it is not the vendors fault, in this case you have to change the statistical delviery date to evaluate the vendors delivery performance against the new date.
    And often forgotten in this evaluation process is the warehouse personell that finally posts the goods receipt. if they post it with delay and do not change the goods reeipt date, then the vendor is as well evaluated to bad.

    Hi,
    Look at tools like the things mentioned above or things like
    http://www.investintech.com/products/developer/creatorsdk/creatorsdkmain/
    http://command-line-image-converter.qarchive.org/
    You need to look for tools that can run via the command line and thsu be executed as external command (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/fa/0971d4543b11d1898e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm)

    Good day!
    This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by. (edit: Actually they are more likely to frequent the regular Photoshop Forum.)

  • How to collective read PP master data in Production order?

    Hi: Guys
    Please tell me how to collective read PP master data in production orders. in COHV, I can find out some collective functions but read PP master data.
    Thanks
    Henry

    Read PP master data is only to update routing and BOM in production order if it is already created to effect the changesmade in routing and BOM.    I think in that collective option is not possible.

  • How to do the CRM Product Master Data extraction?

    Hello guys,
    I have to upload the CRM Product Master Data from a CRM 6.0 system to a BI 7.0 system.
    The only information that I have is the infocube in the BI for the extraction is 0CRM_PROD.
    I've checked that the CRM Product table COMM_PRODUCT and found that entries in the table and the infocube don't correspond to each other exactly. I also cannot find approprite DataSource in BI or CRM system for the data transfer.
    Who can telll me anything about this kind of master data extraction to BI?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    u tried using the generic extraction using rso2.create one datasource and give the table name comm_prod.
    bye.

  • How-To "Refresh a table of data after inserting or deleting"

    I'd like to say a word on the how-to article "How to refresh a table of data after inserting or deleting a row using ADF".
    (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/updtable/index.html?_template=/ocom/technology/content/print)
    I spent a lot of time on it because I needed help in implementing simple CRUD functionality on a table, using JSF-ADF-TopLink technologies.
    While the the article does provide correct steps, it is in one important place not specific enough, so the reader may easily get stuck. In section "Refresh the data table", point 1: when you double click on the removeEntity() button, in Structure window, then you do not get the required dialog. You get CommandButton Properties dialog.
    You must click on the removeEntity() button in Editor's Design view. But even there you may get the CommandButton Properties dialog, not managed beans dialog.
    You may resolve that by going to JSF configuration file, faces-config.xml, and switch to Overview view. This will show you the managed beans that you have.
    Then, you may already have a backing bean for the page. You can use that and avoid creating a new managed bean.
    I could understand what the operations mean only after very careful reading of "Creating More Complex Pages", section "Overriding Declarative Methods" in JDeveloper Help (or in ADF Developer's Guide PDF document).
    In general: I believe that "ADF bindings" need more conceptual explanation, maybe in form of an article. Grammatical form "bindings" may create a false understanding that "bindings" are just references. But they are not -- ADF bindings are active objects that handle traffic between UI components and Data Controls. It seems that "bindings" even communicate among themselves. Maybe it would be more understandable to differentiate strictly between "binding objects" (or "binders"?), binding object definitions and binding object references.
    It would be very helpful to have a diagram showing grahically what specific binder objects are created in a small apllication (2-3 pages using 1-2 tables), with whom they communicate and what type of data is passed on.

    Hi
    Thanks for your infos.
    Yes exactly I use almost the same code you have post here.
    Could You answer to my next questions?
    First - >what do you mean by saying that "it's not good idea using refreshing in IE?" Of course I use refreshing in backing_bean for my button "remove" that removes row, commit changes to database and refresh table, almost the same as You said in your post:
    Code in backing_bean is and comments on difference to Your code is below:
    public commandButton2_action1(){
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("removeEntity");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    return null;
    //above remove entity, but I dont now if it do commit to database? So i do it below
    OperationBinding commit1 = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    commit1.execute();
    //and at the end I refresh my table, "findAllRezerwacja1 - it is an id of the methodAction, not the iterator -> is it ok? or should I change to Iterator id?
    OperationBinding requery = bindings.getOperationBinding("findAllRezerwacja1");
    requery.execute();
    return null;
    Page Definition code for this:
    <methodAction id="findAllRezerwacja1"
    InstanceName="SessionEJBLocal.dataProvider"
    DataControl="SessionEJBLocal" MethodName="findAllRezerwacja"
    RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="999"
    ReturnName="SessionEJBLocal.methodResults.SessionEJBLocal_dataProvider_findAllRezerwacja_result"/>
    <table id="findAllRezerwacja2" IterBinding="findAllRezerwacja1Iter">
    <AttrNames>
    <Item Value="dataDo"/>
    <Item Value="dataOd"/>
    <Item Value="idRezerwacja"/>
    <Item Value="liczbaUczestnikow"/>
    <Item Value="prowadzacy"/>
    <Item Value="uwagi"/>
    </AttrNames>
    </table>
    <methodAction id="removeEntity" InstanceName="SessionEJBLocal.dataProvider"
    DataControl="SessionEJBLocal" MethodName="removeEntity"
    RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="999">
    <NamedData NDName="entity"
    NDValue="${bindings.findAllRezerwacja2.currentRow.dataProvider}"
    NDType="java.lang.Object"/>
    </methodAction>
    <action id="Commit" IterBinding="findAllRezerwacja1Iter"
    InstanceName="SessionEJBLocal.dataProvider"
    DataControl="SessionEJBLocal" RequiresUpdateModel="true"
    Action="2"/>
    </bindings>
    //and rest of code for Iterator etc
    My second question is, why when you use refresh button in IE (I know is not recommended as You said, but sometimes user do it, so I want prevent situations that I will describe here) so when I press refresh button in IE exactly after removing one row by clicking my button, refreshing by pressing IE button is doing the same --> is deleting next row. How to stop deleting row, when for example user would press IE refresh button after pressing remove button for table. If I change selection in table after deleting row, and press refresh button in IE, instead of deleting row, I got error message: JBO-29000: JBO-35007: and
    JBO-35007. So where Im doing wrong. Maybe I should do sth with postback ? Could You help me? Thanks in advance
    Last one question: what is the difference between using delete and removeEntity from operations node? Im now reading carefully ADF Dev Guide, so I hope I can find infos there? But if You know, please answer to this question.
    Thanks

  • How to provide RDP cert file when create virtual machine deployment?

    hi,
    the Azure REST API here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/jj157194.aspx#bk_certificates did not say how to provide a cert for the VM when create it.
    the StoredCertificateSettings let you install the uploaded cert onto the vm, but this does not allow you to replace
    the RDP cert which created by Azure when the VM is created.
    see below:
    the highlighted cert is automatically created by Azure for the virtual machine to secure the RDP connection.
    so when you try to remote to the VM, you will see this error, because the cert used for the RDP on the VM is not installed into the "Trused Root Certification Authorities" on local machine.
    i want to replace the cert that azure automatically created :

    Hi,
    In Azure, this feature is called
    custom data. Currently, you can inject custom data into an Azure VM by using the
    Windows Azure command-line tools (--custom-data).
    I assume that it is not supported in Python API. You can use “custom_data=xxx”
    within “create_virtual_machine_deployment” to check if it works.
    If it is not yet available, please submit your requirement in Azure feedback below:

  • How to transfer all of my data to another mac?

    Hello folks,
    I have a MacBook Pro 15", I recently bought an MBP 17", now I want to transfer all of my data from 15 to 17. All of my mails, network connections, settings and maybe applications.
    What should I do in order to transfer my data? Is there any utility out there for doing so?
    Thank you all in advance,
    - Dunnil

    Mac OS: Moving files from your older Macintosh to a new one
    Learn how to move or copy files from an older Macintosh computer to newer one, for example, from a computer that uses Mac OS 8 or 9 to one that uses Mac OS X 10.2.
    Tip: If you'd prefer to have someone move files for you, ask about data transfer services at your local Apple Retail Store. For more information, visit http://www.apple.com/retail/. In addition to the Apple Retail Stores, many Apple Specialists, Apple Resellers, and Apple Authorized Service Providers provide various levels of data transfer services. Check the Find Service page to locate an Apple Specialist in your area.
    Tip: Some computers that come with Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later preinstalled, such as iMac G5 and Power Mac G5 (June 2004), include a version of Setup Assistant that lets you transfer information easily. The following document applies when you are moving (or "migrating") files manually from one computer to another and do not have that version of Setup Assistant.
    Contents
    What types of files should you move?
    Transferring email
    Transferring other files
    About reusing memory (RAM), peripherals such as printers, and other third-party hardware
    Internet settings
    What types of files should you move?
    There are probably thousands of files on your computer, including many used by the system software and applications. Thankfully, you do not need to move every file.
    You should think about moving these types of files:
    Personal documents that are stored on your hard disk, such as to-do lists, recipes, spreadsheets, personal webpages, and databases.
    Personal pictures, icons, movies, songs, or other multimedia files that are stored on your the computer's hard disk.
    Unfinished iMovie or iDVD projects.
    Information you keep in Stickies or Notepad (You might want to copy this information and paste it into a SimpleText document.)
    You will probably not need to move these types of files
    Entire applications (see notes).
    Log files or Read Me files
    Anything inside the System Folder
    Note: You may need to move preference files for third-party applications and third-party fonts that cannot be reinstalled from a disk. If you do not know exactly which preference or font files these are, you should not plan to move any preference or font files. It is often quicker to configure preference settings from scratch or reinstall applications from original disks on your new computer.
    Note: If you use Apple applications with your older computer (such as DVD Player, iMovie, iTunes, and iDVD), your newer computer probably includes a version of the software, and you should not need to transfer the older version.
    Will my applications (software) work on a new computer?
    Moving files is great, but what about using them after they've been moved? In most cases, you will enjoy the best Mac OS X experience by using Mac OS X versions of your applications. However, most applications that work with Mac OS 9 work fine with Mac OS X. This is because Mac OS X includes a feature called the Classic environment, which lets you use your Mac OS 9 applications. Computers that come with Mac OS X installed also include a Mac OS 9 System Folder for the Classic environment. Want to use your current Mac OS 9 System Folder instead? No problem, just copy it from your older computer. Note that it should be using Mac OS 9.1 or later, and you should also delete the Mac OS 9 System Folder that came with the newer computer. For more information about Classic, choose Mac Help from the Help menu on your new computer.
    Transferring email
    For an easy transition, use Mac OS X Mail on your new computer. Make sure you set it up before you transfer any messages.
    Use .Mac or IMAP?
    If you use .Mac or another IMAP email account, this will be very easy. If you don't use IMAP with .Mac or don't know what IMAP is, skip this section.
    You only need to configure the email application on your new computer, such as Mac OS X Mail, to work with your .Mac or IMAP account. You may have already done this when your computer started for the first time. Messages stored on the .Mac or IMAP server appear in Mail when you open it.
    You need to move a small number of messages (using POP)
    The easiest way to do this is to forward (or redirect, if your application allows) the messages you want to move to your own email address. Do not retrieve email on your older computer. Instead, retrieve email on your new computer (such as with Mac OS X Mail), and the messages that you forwarded will appear.
    Alternatively, you can open the messages in your older computer's email application and save them to your hard disk volume. You can typically do this by opening the message and choosing Save or Save As from the File menu.
    You need to move a large number of messages (using POP)
    If the choices for moving a small number of messages above won't work very well, you will need to know how your email application stores email. In some cases, such as with Microsoft Outlook Express, messages are not stored individually on the hard disk, but are stored within the application's folder in "mail databases." In this case, you should move your email application's folder just as you would transfer other files (described below). After you've moved the older email application, open Mail and choose Import Mailboxes from the File menu. For more information, see these documents:
    61459: "Mac OS X Mail: How to Import Email"
    25330: "Mac OS X 10.1, 10.2: How to Import Addresses Into Address Book"
    106996: "Mac OS X 10.2: About Import Addresses and Other Mail Scripts"
    Some applications may store the messages or attachments as separate files. In this case you need to find the files and move them with the others as described below.
    Other email services, such as America Online (AOL), or email you access through a Web browser such as Yahoo email or MSN Hotmail, may store your email on their mail servers. In this case, you should only be concerned with transferring messages that you have previously saved to your disk and deleted from the server. If these services normally work through your email application instead of a browser, see the transferring email section as well.
    Note: To access AOL mail on your new computer, you will need to install a Mac OS X version of AOL.
    If you're not sure how your email application stores email, refer to the documentation that came with it, or contact the publisher for more information.
    Transferring other files
    Using .Mac and iDisk
    If you're a .Mac member, you can use your iDisk to copy files between computers. Copy files from your older computer to the iDisk, then from the iDisk to your new computer. If your iDisk isn't large enough to copy all the files at once, you can check your .Mac account settings to manage your iDisk space, consider purchasing a capacity upgrade, or copy fewer files at the same time. If you have individual files that are too big, consider using third-party software to compress your files or folders, such as Aladdin Stuffit.
    Using a network or direct connection
    If you already have a network and know how to transfer files across it from your older computer, it's just a matter of turning on file sharing on your new computer and copying files to it.
    If you don't have a network you may be able to directly connect your computers for the transfer. See "Macintosh: How to Create a Small Ethernet Network". Even if you've never done this before, you'll find it's an easy process.
    If you don't know how to set up or use file sharing in Mac OS X, see "Mac OS X: About File Sharing".
    For more information, you can also read the Mac OS X Networking Support page.
    In the unlikely event that your older computer does not include an Ethernet port or an AirPort card, consider transferring files by other means listed below.
    Portable hard drive, iPod, or other storage device
    You can use a portable hard drives to transfer data from one Macintosh computer to another. These drives usually have a FireWire (IEEE 1394, iLink) or a USB port. Make sure your older computer has a USB or FireWire port first.
    If you have an iPod that works with your older computer and has some free space, you can use it like a portable hard drive, in Disk Mode.
    Portable FireWire drives provide the fastest transfer rate and are widely available. Portable USB hard drives have a slower transfer rate, but you can use them to transfer files.
    Burn a CD or DVD
    One of the easiest ways to transfer files from your older computer is to make or "burn" a CD or DVD of them. This has the added benefit of creating a backup of your data. Your new computer should have no issue reading the burned CD. These documents may help:
    58804: "Mac OS 9: How to Burn a CD and Choose a Format"
    25545: "Mac OS X: When You Put in A Blank CD, It Doesn't Appear"
    25402: "Macintosh: Factors That Affect Writing to or Reading From Optical Media"
    Other portable media
    You can also use portable ZIP, Jaz, magnetic optical (MO), or other forms of portable media to transfer files as long as the media device can be used on both computers.
    Advanced method: Moving an entire hard drive
    It is possible to move some kinds of hard drives from some older desktop Macintosh computers to newer ones, but you shouldn't do this unless you are an experienced computer user. Make sure your new computer has an available storage bay, cable connection, and internal bus to support the type of drive you have. You may also need to adjust master/slave or cable select jumper settings depending on the type of drive and type of new computer you have.
    About reusing memory (RAM), peripherals such as printers, and other third-party hardware
    Depending on the technologies your older computer uses, some hardware upgrades or peripheral devices may not work. To find out what's compatible, check with the items' manufacturers.
    These kinds of hardware should work, but check with the manufacturer to make sure. You should also download the latest version of any drivers or support software from the manufacturer's website.
    USB-based mouse devices, controllers, storage devices, cameras, handheld organizers (PDAs), or printers
    FireWire-based cameras, hard drives, or other devices
    These kinds of hardware are less likely to work with a new computer. You may need to purchase a more modern equivalent:
    Memory (RAM) that works with your older computer
    PCI or NuBus-based expansion cards
    SCSI-1 or -2 devices that connect externally
    Serial port- or LocalTalk-based devices
    GeoPort hardware
    You can search or browse tens of thousands of products made for Mac at the Macintosh Products Guide.
    Internet settings and bookmarks
    On your new computer, you'll need to enter Internet settings such as your type of connection and email account information. You may have already done this when the computer started for the first time. If not, see " Mac OS X: Internet and Network Topics (Getting Connected, Troubleshooting)".
    Bookmarks (or "favorites") can be transferred in a number of ways. If you have a small number of bookmarks, you may find it easier to just set them up from scratch in your new computer's Web browser. Alternatively, you can paste the URLs of your bookmarks into an email message, mail it to yourself, then get the message with your new computer.
    If you have lots of bookmarks, most Web browsers offer a way to export bookmarks to a single file. You can then transfer the file to your new computer, and import the file with your new Web browser.

  • PPDS production order dates mismatch between APO and R3

    Hi Friends,
    We are facing one problem regarding production order date mish match between R3 and APO systems specific to a product.
    The product is planned in PPDS and the order automatically transfer to R3 through online CIF.
    PPM has got two operations 0010 and 0020 and activity relationships are like this:
    P(0010) - P(0020) Start - Start relation ship
    S(0010) - P(0010) End - Start relationship.
    In PPDS dates are shown as :
    on operation 0010 the start/end  dates are shown as  08.15.09 to 08.22.09
    on operation 0020 the start/end  dates are shown as 08.15.09 to 08.22.09
    Overall order start date is  08.15.09
    Overall order finish date is 08.22.09
    and in R3 dates are shown as:
    on operation 0010 the start/end  date are shown as  08.15.09 to 08.22.09
    on operation 0020 the start/end dates are shown as 08.22.09 to 08.29.09
    Overall order start date is  08.15.09
    Overall order finish date is 08.29.09
    The order is off one week (APO vs R3) with start and finish dates.
    if we change DS Board settings to ignore internal relationships manually then the dates are matching exactly in APO and R3.
    We want the production order dates to be matched without manual intervention.
    Could some one please provide some hints on what is happening here and how to correct it.
    Thanks.
    Krish

    Hi Friends,
    Thanks a lot for your valuable replies in this regard.
    Actually this problem is in production environment and it took some time to test the problem with the master data modifications
    you suggested.
    As DB and Siddhrath mentioned, the problem was with routing definition. There is no parallel sequence maintained in the routing but there is start-start relation maintained in APO PPM.
    We corrected the routing definition and checked the order dates. Now the dates  are matching in R3 and APO.
    I am awarding DB and Siddharth each five points in this regard.
    Once again thank you all for your time and valuable replies.
    -Regards
    Krish.

  • Maintain penalty costs in product master data via macro

    Hi all,
    I am trying to use the function MATLOC_SET to maintain the penalty cost (field Non. Del. Penalty) on SNP1 tab, but it didn't work.
    Is it possible to use this function to update this field or I need to use an other function to do this?
    I tried :
    1) MATLOC_SET( 'NDPEN' ; 123 ; ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION )
    2) MATLOC_SET( 'NDPEN' ; '123' ; ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION )
    3) MATLOC_SET( 'NDPEN1LOC' ; 123 ; ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION )
    4) MATLOC_SET( 'NDPEN1LOC' ; '123' ; ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION )
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Douglas Marques

    Thanks all for replies!
    Kishore Reddy,
    Yes, it's possible to maintain product master data via macro by functions. In my case, I'm using MATLOC_SET and it's work fine... except for the penalty costs fields.
    Saradha,
    I can't use the MASSD to do this because the costs are calculated in the macro based on sku/location forecast. But call a custom program in the macro is a good idea. I only have a doubt... Is it possible to transfer the calculated values in the macro to the custom program? If it's possible, how can I do to call the custom program transferring these values?
    Julien,
    The function MATLOC_SET works fine for other fields, only doesn't work to penalty costs fields...
    I saw that the structures are different, but the help that provides by SAP not mention any restriction. So, I think there is some other specific function to update the costs and i tried the MATLOC_EXTRA_SET, but it updates only extra fields...
    May be having another function to do this...
    Thanks and Regards
    Doug
