so I have the white screen of death and I heard that rebooting might help it. but if it doesn't work, I really dont want to lose all of my apps, musics, bookmarks, data, EVEYRHTING!! so will backing-up my ipod(for the first time) before rebooting( for the first time) EVERY SINGLE THING I have on my ipod? if it can: 1) how do I back-up my ipod? 2) once i've rebooted, how do I get those saved data and put it back into my ipod??

Sadly if you have the white screen of death you may not be able to do much, all depending on if it's the screen that has malfunctioned or the iOS. First I would recommended plugging into iTunes and seeing if its recognized to be able to backup. If you are unable to backup, indicating youriOS is not working properly, I would start with a 2 button reset as outlines on the 2nd slide here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the iPod continues to boot to a white screen and does not allow you to backup, you may be out of luck and have to follow the rest of the steps here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281

You might want to post this question to the iTunes Windows forum rather than the iPod forum - try iTunes for Windows
Just a note of encouragement - I doubt very much you've lost your music - they remember what you've purchased forever and as long as the content is still on the iTunes store you should never loose anything (however sometimes content is removed from the store for various reasons and in that cause if you don't have a local copy on your iTunes library it is not recoverable - but that issue is relatively infrequent) - it's just a question of why iTunes won't let you download it again. good luck...

I'm not sure if I am reading you correctly but am I right in thinking that you want to wipe your phone clean and start from scratch? If so then just hard reset yor phone using the *#7370# code. The default lock code is 12345. Be sure to backup your data first because all your data may be wiped.
You can then proceed to reinstall all your apps.

I also wanted to get a number of files back out of the trash, but the Put Back option wasn't available.
I tried everything I could find in this forum with no success, then I found something that WORKED:
1/ Open Trash window
2/ Open another Finder window with the folder you want to return the items to (maybe create one if there are multiple destinations - sort out later)
3/ Select the files in Trash that need putting back, then drag them to the other finder window.

I had the same problem a few days ago - just let it keep circling as it will eventually stop. Make sure it's plugged into the computer and walk away. Check on it periodically and do whatever the stupid thing says to do. I think mine "circled" about 5 times before it finally worked. . .

Hmm, well... iTunes trys to activate your iPod using the Apple server to make sure you have bought it legit.
Two things come into my mind:
1) Your iTunes can't access the internet.
2) Apples activation servers are down.
That's just my cents, maybe anyone else has an idea.

I do not understand everything you are saying. What is "itunes wiped it; from restoring it" mean?
If you synced your iPod after you took the photos the photos should be in the iPod backup and you should be able to get them back by restoring your iPod from backup.
