The apps are tied to the account from which they were purchased. If the apps were purchased from the previous owners account, then they would have to be updated from that account. you should not have these apps anyway. You need to buy your own.
Read the manual. it will tell you how to sign into your account to buy apps.

How do I change an email "Account Name" on my iphone.

Hello everyone,
My question is how do I change an account name in my iPhone? I have just added another separate gmail account, which makes a total of 4 email accounts on my phone. On the first 3 accounts, the name of the account is the email address. The final account (gmail) I just added today, the name of it just says "gmail". How do I change this so it shows up in my iPhone as either the address the account is connected to, OR, give it a name I create?
When I set up the account it asked me for a name for it, and I gave it one, but it does not show up either under "inboxes" or "accounts" It just simply says "gmail" How can I change that?
Also, is there a way to give an account a name other than the email address for the other 3 existing accounts?

THANK YOU!!! If it was a snake it would have bit me. Seems kind of counter intuitive to have the description be the name of the account that shows up on the phone. You'd think that it would be called "account name". Anyway, Thank you very much!

I recently changed my Apple ID while my phone was out being repaired. I've just got it back and restored it from the backup on my computer. Now it won't let me change my Apple ID. It's being ******** and won't let me change the iCloud Account to my new email address and just keeps the old one. Whenever I enter the password for this account it tells me it's wrong. Seriously how many more issues do Apple have to throw at me?

Slide to unlock wont work

My slide to unlock wont work on my iphone 3gs.I have tried to reset it. It won't slide to power off. It won't let me answer calls or texts but I can adjust the volume on the side buttons. Please help.

Okay--listen everyone--I actually have a fix for this. I am so happy to help, because I know how frustrated I was!
I have a iPod touch 3rd gen. The screen slide was stuck in the lock position. Over the course of the past three months I have tried the following with no success:
1.) Reboot (holding the power and home button simultaneously)
2.) Restore (both types--yes, I did the hard, factory reset) SEVERAL times.
3.) I pushed on the screen in every corner, sometimes very hard.
4.) I tried giving several voice control commands.
Everything I read on line (I've spent several hours researching), said the only thing I could do was bring it in to the Apple Store Genius Bar--they priced the labor at about $150! For which I could buy a new one. Then I remembered something CRAZY I had read a while back--I wasn't even sure I remember the correct order or even the explanation. All I know is that it WORKED! This is what I did.
a.) I put the iPod in a ziplock bag and pushed all the excess air out before sealing it.
b.) I put it in the freezer over night! (Crazy, right?)
c.) Then about 24 hours later, I took it out--it was frozen solid--and tried to power it up. No luck.
d.) I immediately put it under the hair dryer on high heat, high air. About 20-30 seconds from, then the same for the back.
e.) I tried to power it up; the Apple icon appeared!
f.) While it was powering up, I kept the air on it, rotating front and back--It got hot. (I stopped after 1 minute.)
g.) When the home, configure screen reappeared, I was able to slide the slick, and re-configure!
h.) I've restored a previous back-up off my iTunes account, and the iPod is working again. Resurrected!
If memory serves, the explanation I read is that many of the apply devices have an internal shutdown switch before they fry or freeze in extreme temps. My guess is that the shutdown forces and internal reboot. All I know is that after trying EVERYTHING ELSE--this method worked. I did this on 18 October 2014.

Stop "slide to unlock" ?

I tried searching in here for answer, but can't find if anyone asked: After sleeping iTouch, then hitting square to turn on, it always shows that "slide to unlock" and I have setting in "auto-lock" to "never" but I still have to slide that bar every time before seeing apps. Is there anyway to just go straight into apps?

There is a purpose for the "slide to unlock" screen. Say you have the Touch in your pocket and the button is pressed, the slide to unlock feature stops you from accidently tapping an icon with your thigh and activating an app. The auto-lock setting just sets how long before the iPod goes into sleep mode after inactivity.

5800 firmware update v60 slide to unlock not avail...

I updated my 5800 to v60 yesterday and I saw in several fourm that slide to unlock feature is available with this new firmware update. But for me when i press the menu button earlier i used to see the screen get lit for sometime. But after the update I am not seeing it and even the slide to unlock feature is not available. Is there any way to enable this new feature??

I tried updating to v60 through Nokia suite, but just as about the installation is about to start, it says "Cheking if you already have the installation files on your computer" and then i get an error saying something went wrong (with code 12017)
I tried NSU, PC Suite, Nokia Suite (reinstallation as well), a soft and a hard reset but im still unable to update to v60, although it is available in the OTA(update via pc) and also in the Nokia Suite.

I just want to get to my home screen, my finger is geting glass-burn everytime i wake my phone up!
I don't need to lock my phone everytime i put it to sleep.

As of now, you cannot bypass this feature. In the future, you may be able to set it up differently if Apple decides to change things.
For now, it's a failsafe....so that your phone doesn't decide to call North Korea by accidental tapping, kid tapping, etc etc.

Transferring phone number from an ATT plan that is not under your name

Currently my phone is being paid for under a family plan with AT&T. Would it be possible to transfer the number that I am using under this plan before the contract is up and put it on an iPhone with me being the sole owner of the contract and no longer under the family plan?

Good questions for AT&T customer service which you should call to confirm any information provided here.
You should be able to transfer this number to a new account that you acquire under your name for the iPhone along with a new 2 year contract for the iPhone but if this Family Plan is not under your name, I'm fairly certain the person who is responsible for this Family account must be involved with the process.

Well Netgear will not know your password. The factory default user name for netgear is usually admin and the factory default is password is password. Go to an internet browser and in the url windo type in 192.168.0.1 and if I am right a login window will appear. Try the factory defaults.

I do not see a way to disable the Picture Frame icon. I looked at Settings-Picture Frame, but none of the options turns it off. The only way I can thinik of, would be if all of your photos had been deleted. If there were no photos, you couldn't have a slide show!
One thing to try is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
