How do u adjust the background sound in a clip in a trailer on the new iMovie?

On the old version i could do this quite fine but now i cant even find a way to do this.

Do any of these or combination of.
1) Click and drag any of the 4 corners.
2) Top right coner you will see double headed arrow, click it, when you want to go back to your 'Normal' preset size press Escape key.
3) To Zoom in do a two fingar double tap on Trackpad, see System Preferences for Trackpad settings

You can't. Those are fixed. You can create a custom page in Pages where you can duplicate the background add photos with frames, any size of text box and text. Make sure page size is the same as you've selected for the book.
Then do a Print ➙ PDF ➙ Save PDF to iPhoto of that page. That till create a 200 dpi jpeg file of that page that you can use on a blank page with an image for the background layout. This is a rough example:

I'm getting audio in voiceover only on the right side in iMovie.. how can I adjust the pan. Both right and left work in Garageband but not in Imovie.

I'm getting audio in voiceover recordings only on the right side in playback. How can I adjust the balance? I'm using an external mic and preamp that work fine (both channels) in Garageband, so it's not my recording setup. Balance is Ok using internal mic but the sound is not as good.

When you share your project, use SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME.
Click Options.
In the Sound settings/Channels, choose MONO.
In the Video settings, choose the codec of your choice (probably h.264) under Compression.

There are not actual "adjustments" for this. Instead, search
Photo Booth > Help for "background holes" (without quotation marks.)
The most common problems are:
• Camera movement, (be sure your iMac does not move)
• lack of light, and
• not using solid color background that does not move

How do I adjust my background image to fit my browser

I have a background image that it 1600 x 1200 and when I try to view in browser, almost half the image gets cut off. How do I adjust the size to fit my browser or even adjust it to fit any browser?

1600 x 1200 is a huge image by web standards. Images don't resize to fill viewport without workarounds (tricks). And while Martin's solution works in some browsers, it's not bulletproof. Downsides may outweigh advantages.
For best cross browser results (including older IE), establish a fixed page width of say 1000px to fit on average displays. Center your page layout.
Open your image in Photoshop or Fireworks and resize it to 1000 x 750. Your image won't fill the viewport but it will fit your page width.

I have an HP Officejet 4500 all-in-one printer and a new HP pavilion Slimline computer. Since I changed to this computer, my printouts have very small font size making them hard to read. How can I adjust the font size of the printout? Is it a computer or printer function? I appreciate the help.

I, too, am frustrated. This seems like something that would easily be handled within the application software. However, none of the fixes I've been offered have been very helpful. My cousin sugested using Control C and Control V to move the text to WORD. Once in WORD, you can manipulate the text on a WORD page...sometimes. I've had good and bad luck with this method. I created a collage in PSE 10 and took the photo to Ritz to have printed out in an 18" x 24" poster. When the file was read into their computer for printing, the sizing came up as 18'1/2" x 24". Printing the photo as is will cut 1/2" off of the collage. How do I adjust the print parameters of my photo file in PSE 10 to be exacetly 18" x 24"? Thanks.

Here is my suggestion:
Open a blank, new file (File>new>blank file) size 8.5x11"
Open the collage
Go to Select>all
Go to Edit>copy
Go back to the blank file created in step #1
Go to Edit>paste. The collage will be on its own layer
Access the move tool, and with the corner handles resize the collage. Using the corner handles should preserve the aspect ratio. If you open the rulers, you will have a point of reference as you go along.
Print a draft copy to see if it will be suitable in the frame..

Click on the text in the menu so that you see the bounding box around it. Look to the right of the Movie Menu customization workspace, Adjustments Palette, Text and edit your text font style and size.
In this screenshot, "Glass Flowers" text in the main menu is selected and its Adjustments Palette Text editing opportunities are shown. To do comparable editing in the scene menu, click on the scene menu in the bin to bring its image up to the screen.

Your best bet is to bring your audio into DVDSP at the length you need it. You can adjust the menu loop time in the inspector but this also adjusted your video as well. DVDSP is not an editor - only an authoring tool All adjustments need to be made outside the tool.

Whilst in the Preview application, press "Shift - Command - A" (⇧⌘A) simultaneously to show the markup toolbar, or click View, and select "show markup toolbar". There is an icon "A" near the right hand side of the now visible markup toolbar, click this icon to reveal all the font options.
