Yes, connect to your computer, go to videos, and uncheck the check mark for syncing the videos, then at the bottom click apply or sync.

Files disappearing suddenly, and others not allowing me to delete them.
First of all, I have a Power PC G4 1.42 Ghz, 1GB DDR SDRAM. And, my problem is mainly that files are continuously disappearing from my finder and/or Desktop. Their names are there and when I try to click they simply vanish. At the same time that this began happening, whenever I created a file to the desktop I was unable to delete it. It also happens in the Finder, but not as often. I click to delete and I get this error: +The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in... could not be read or written. (Error code -36)+. It began sporadically, but now it´s happening continuously.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
In finder, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes".
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1, and reboot. -
My ipad freezes and icons bounce and will not allow me to delete them.
WWhen I try to delete a purchased app from mt iPad iI all the icons bounce but can't be deleted then the iPad freezes and a home button power up is required.
try this:
Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings.
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi network. -
T-Bird FREEZES sporadically and will not allow "Delete" to work.
Approx. 4 days ago, something happened to T-Bird. I can only assume (I hate that word) that a newer version was uploaded to my computer. I lost over 1800 email addresses. BIG TIME BUMMER!!!
I was able to recover most, but had to input manually, another BUMMER!
Now, every so often, (three to five email deletes) I have to kill the program and restart it due to it freezing and will not allow me to delete or move on to the next email. Smaller bummer.
Any ideas?What is your anti-virus software?

How do I delete duplicate songs in my iTunes? I have hundreds and I don't want to delete them one by one. They were all added on the same date, so sorting by the date won't help.
Hi, if this is in regards to your library simply open up itunes and do the following steps:
Click File
Scroll down to "show duplicates"
A list will then appear of your duplicate song titles.
Be sure to CAREFULLY review each song to make sure it is a duplicate ( as I have some music that is the same song but live, acoustic etc...)
Proceed to manually delete each song from the list and leave alone any song that you wish to keep.

When i try to download an update from the appstore the dropdown menju automatically inserts my apple id (which is wrong). It's in gray and will not allow me to type in the correct id. How do i stop the auto insert so that i can enter the correct id?
the original apple id was entered incorrectly. Apple says it must be a email address. My email address is correct but the letter ( t ) somehow got added to the (.com) so that when i try to enter my id it is automaticly loaded with the email address the ends ( .comt ) . According to Apple this is not a "legal" email id. But it appears on my dropdown in gray and i cannot alter it or delete it, thus preventing me from downloading software updates.

You need to restore the folder using the (Put back) selection (CTRL click).

After an erroneous contacts delete on the mac, they've been removed from iCloud and all the synced devices.
I was able to restore the contacts from a backup, but since the iCloud version is newer than the backuped one, they are deleted every iCloud sync.
Now I have an iPhone with the contacts and iCloud deactivated, but I lost all the contacts on the Mac and the iPad.
There is a way to tell iCloud "restart using the contacts I have on this device"?An iCloud backup will save the state of your Camera Roll at the time of the backup but, if you delete photos from the Camera Roll, they will not be in the next backup taken.

How do you remove part of a file. My thumbnail attach themselves then refuse to allow editing without deleting my complete work. I even scan in jpegs of my documents and it incessantly adds blanks I can't remove.
Pages documents are organized in sections. When you click on the thumbnail for a page, the section containing that page is selected. The Delete command applies to the selection, so if you press delete at this point, the selected section is deleted.
You can separate a section into two or more sections by inserting a section break at the end of the page before the page you want ot be the first in the new section, then inseritng a second section break where you want the second section to end. Click on the thumbnail for any page in the new section, thenpress delete and the new section will be deleted.
If desired, you can then reconnect the two remaining sections into one by deleting the section break between them.
An alternate is to select any floating objects on the pages you want to delete, then press delete. After that, select the text on the pages you want to delete, then press delete.
If all objects on these pages (and al objects on pages following these pages) have been placed as Inline objects, this deletion may be done in a single step. Floating objects placed below the deleted material will maintain their position relative to the top left corner of the first page of the section,m and will not be in the same place within the text as they were before the deletion.

If your jpegs are inserted as inline objects, each will be treated as a single, large character in the text. You will see the same space left and right of the object as you would create by increasing the height of one character in the line of text to the same size as the height of the jpeg image.
If they are inserted as floating objects, then depending on the Wrap settings, they may force text out of the space to the left, right, or both sdes of the object, as well as forcing a small gap above and below the object. If the scan includes excess white space around the graphic, this white space will be included as part of the object

My movies I bought through iTunes are in my iCloud for my iPad. They continuously keep freezing not allowing me to watch them. How can I fix this?
You might need to use a faster internet connection or stonger wifi signal, or download them to your iTunes library (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519) and sync them to your iPad to watch them.

4 voice memos in iTunes backup from iPhone had ! marks and would not play so I deleted them and although they are still on the iPhone, they will not sync back to iTunes from iPhone.
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

How do you delete songs from Itunes? I have many that show up as many as 7 times and itunes will not allow me to remove them.
I have tried to Hilight them and hit Control Delete nothing happens. I tried to just Delete one, but when you hit delete nothing happens.

The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.

I can't delete events recurring annually...not part of birthday calendar, these are events I've added manually. I've tried delete key, cut event, changing to no recurrence, they just revert to original recurrence and will not be removed from my calendar. Events that occur weekly I'm able to delete, this is only happening with events recurring annually. Very frustrating. Thanks for any ideas.
If you are using a PC, log on to iCloud using Safari (rather than Explorer) to reset the photostream. Then turn iPhone/iPad photostream off and back on. I was getting the same server error as you and this advice from another blog worked for my iPhone and iPad. But I still can't get photostream deleted from my apple tv. There does not seem to be a photostream on/off control In Apple tv 4.4 software. I tried switching the screen saver to one of the ones that comes preloaded on the device, then back to photostream but all the old photos are still there. If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.
