How do I view multiple images in one window?  I want to compare images side by side, not in tabs.

Thank you, Barbara.  I found that I had to close the program after I turned on "allow floating documents" and restart, before I was able to go to "float all in windows".

If you want to see what is in a file that is backed up by time machine then you have to restore the entire file. Having said that I have had good experience with Time Machine and individual files... if the file is there then all of it's components are almost for sure there. A way to get around this in Aperture would be to use referenced images. The images then still exist as individual files and can be backed up and restored individually. You would have to do so on a file by file basis though and your album information would still only be saved within the Aperture library.

  • Can't view gif images.

I had to reinstall Yosemite on my computer and since I did that I can't view gif images in Firefox and Safari.  What do I need to do to be able to view gif images?
    Bill

Am working on a webpage with some animated gifs in it. Everything works fine when it is loaded up, the images display and animate continuously. But these gifs may be updated on the server. I have some javascript that checks if the gifs have been updated by checking the modified meta data. If it has that image is reloaded. this works fine and the new image is brought up but that animation is never started. it just sits there on the first frame.
works as planned in chrome. it also worked as planned in FF9 but does not in FF12

  • How can i view nikon images in photoshop? i have cs4 so the camera raw plug-in is not an option and i've lost my disk from the initial purchase of the D90.

how can i view nikon images in photoshop? i have cs4 so the camera raw plug-in is not an option and i've lost my disk from the initial purchase of the D90.

The NEF file only gives a little "nef" icon.  i was able to convert the NEF to DNG on the old computer and then brought the files over to the new computer.  On the old computer, the NEF files were depicted as little jpeg's so I would be able to see a picture of what each file represented.  On the new computer, both the NEF files and the DNG files are depicted with icons, "nef" or "dng", but not as little pictures.  On the new computer, though, I am to import the DNG's into Adobe and edit them so that is working regardless of whether or not a picture is present for the icon of each file.  I've downloaded the DNG converter from Adobe and will try the conversion directly on the new computer when I get home from work.  I do appreciate your responses and will let you know how it works.
I am curious then, since right now the files are represented by little "nef"'s and little "dng"'s: If I also download the viewNX (spelling might be wrong, sorry) from nikon, do you know if that maintains the file as a RAW format file but allows a picture representation of the RAW file for the icon?  (That would make it easier to choose which RAW files I would choose to edit and which to not even bother with as an initial culling if that makes sense.
    Cheers.

  • How can i  view an image (ORDSYS.ORDImage) present in db

    hi
how can i view an image (ORDSYS.ORDImage) present in db through sql developer?
    regards
    manoj

    Manoj,
I put a request in to the SQL Developer exchange to do this natively and it has been accepted. In the meantime you can use the following SQL...
    select ordsys.ordimage.getcontent('column') from 'table'
The resulting image can then be viewed in the results tab if it is a type that SQL Developer recognizes such as a JPEG.
    Cheers
    Alex

  • How do I view multiple images from different projects at the same time?

    Hello
I've been trying to find the answer in the user manual, but no luck so far.
I did find how to open 2 projects at once, but I can only see one image at a time in the viewer and I have to keep going back and forth between projects to compare images. (These are scans of old photos and I want to eliminate the ones that are poorer quality, so need to compare numerous images from 2 sets of scans)
How can I view an image from one project at the same time as an image from another? I know that it can be done in the same project by apple-clicking the second, third etc image, but this doesn't work if the images are from different projects.
    Thank you
    Elizabeth

    Thank you again Tony
I've now created an album, independent of the projects, and dragged test images into it and it does just the job I needed. Now i just need to keep my brain sorted with which ones are which while i'm working

  • How do you get .gif images to move?

I know when you take pictures in photo booth you can export it to your iChat account to make it a little animation. But how do i get the .gif images i dragged & dropped from the web to move? I open Preview to view the .gif but it just gives me all the frames of the picture and not really an animation. Can anyone help me make them move?

I presume you want to have an animated buddy icon?
    In case you have leopard installed;
    1. Select the 4 photo (burst) button in Photo Booth.
    2. Look: 1.straight into the camera and after the flash look 2.left, 3.right an up.
    3. Select the miniature in the photo booth picture bar, if you like it: click on the iChat icon.
    4. Open iChat>preferences>general>tick the box "show animated buddy icons".
You have an animated buddy icon and you can see your buddy's animations as well, in case they have one.

  • How do I view .gif files?

I used to be able to view .gif files just fine on my ipad 3, but now whenever I try to view one, it asks me which program I want to open the file with (Evernote, Dropbox, or GroupMe). Anyone know how to fix this? They used to just automatically load in safari. I'd like to get this functionality back. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Right but safari used to open them automatically. What could have changed that safari doesnt automatically open them anymore? this is actually annoying while i am surfing the web. for instance, i just tried to pay one of my bills at a site i always used to be able to access from my ipad. one of the elements of the website has a gif file, and so i am unable to pay bills there anymore because the gif doesnt Auto load like it used to in safari.
is there a setting that could be causing this?

  • Cant view .GIF Images after i make them in cs5?? please help

Hey guys, Im having a problem and wondering if any of you guys can help me out here
Ok so I made a GIF today in photoshop cs5 and everything was good, I can watch it in photoshop and everything looks GREAT. Ok so the problem I am having is that when I save the Image and I try to open the picture.... It gives me an error message and says " windows cannot find C:users/eric/desktop/image1. Make sure you typed the name correctly then try again"
    any help would be sweet
    Thanks everyone!!!

Do you have Windows set to show you file extensions?  That's not the default.
Did you save the file as a .gif?  If you right-click on it, then choose Properties, do you see it named as image1.gif?
How are you trying to view it?  Are you double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer?
What application do you expect to be able to view it with?
What happens when you drag it to Internet Explorer?
