Hello. I have my personal iPhone 5 which is setup up to my iTunes on my PC laptop. My job gave me an iPhone 4S. With my 5, I like to make ringtones with the ringtone maker app. I have them saved into iTunes. I want my 4S to be able to access those ringtones. When I hook up the 4S to my laptop, iTunes prompts me to create a new phone or restore from backup. I don't want either. I want to be able to connect the 4S and gain access to what I would see in iTunes as if I sync the 5. Thank you.
Also, if you need this information, When I download apps to my 5, they also appear on my 4S.

The iphone is designed to be synced with a computer. It is not a stand alone device. If the only place the contacts are is the iphone, then this (in my opinion) is a major mistake and not the way the iphone was designed.

There's info here on setting up separate libraries and user accounts. You won't have to reload (or re-import) all the music, just copy it.
The reason I suggest separate accounts on the Mac is because if you have the two libraries under the same user account, iTunes will also open the last library that was open in that account, and you'll always have to be mindful of which library that is. If you open iTunes and find it's not your library, you'll have quit, relaunch holding the option key and select the other library.
No, you won't have to log in and out of the Mac. (If I'm understanding your question here.) Multiple accounts can be logged in at the same time. And with fast user switching, you can toggle between user accounts.
I'll admit that maintaining the two libraries gets a little tricky, because if you share all the same music, you'll have to add it to one and update the other. (That won't happen automatically.) But I think Home Sharing makes this much easier to do.

iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

You have 2 solutions:
1 - You can use 2 differents icloud account
2 - You use the same account but you don't sync yours contacts.
You configure that in Settings > icloud
You activate or desactivate what you want.

Make groups of contacts in your Address Book and select the option to sync only selected groups to each phone.

How would I Set up an External Hard-drive for movies to share with AppleTV? and Also can I use the internal Itunes Library to the Ext HD1 then Ext HD2?

I have tried to set up an external HD but after following the directions the movies in Apple TV ( My Movies) showed a film strip with the note the location could not be found. I deleted the movie content under the internal movies in Itunes. I did notice a blue dot vs a grey dot net to the name of the movie. I appreciate if someone could poitn me to the correct step by step procedures. I would like to setup more than one Ext HD, as Ext HD1, Ext HD2 etc storing my movie collection. Any suggestions if the latest in ITUNES 10.5.2 and the AppleTV 1st and a 2nd generation are being used.

How can I share the music on my ipad with my imac using home sharing?

I’ve been trying to share the music on my ipad with my imac. I've set my apple ID account on both of them but I can't get any of the songs I purchased on my ipad to my imac. Even though, when I click my albums it shares the music on my imac to my ipad. the reason why I couldn't do this before was that I had recently purchased my ipad and created a new account that was different from the account on my imac. so can I use home sharing on itunes with my ipad and imac? and if not then how else could I share the music on my ipad to the itunes on my imac?

I tried to backup my wife's iphone to the iCloud by hooking up to my PC. I checked the new iPhone box but it sync'd the phone to my accoount. How do I set up her iCloud account to backup her phone then sync w her iPad?

iTunes on your computer has nothing to do with an iCloud backup. If you wife's phone is backing up to your iCloud account it's because you are sharing the same account. Migrating her phone to a separate iCloud account will fix this.
If you want to mirate her iPad to a separate account, start by saving any photo stream photos that she wishes to keep on your iPad to her camera roll by opening the my photo stream album, tap Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account her iPad, not from iCloud. your devices will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPad. Then sign back in with a separate Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload the data to her account. Note: you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes, it does not need to be the same as the ID used for iCloud.

Sharing an Apple ID for iTunes and App store purchases is not a problem. Just enter the same Apple ID in Settings>Store>Apple ID. You can turn on Automatic Downloads here as well. However, don't share the same iCloud account unless you want to have merged calendars and contacts. To maintain separation it's best to have separate iCloud accounts with different Apple IDs. (The Apple ID you use for iCloud does not have to be the same as the one you use for purchases in Settings>Store.) How do I share my iTunes library to an iPad without using "Home Sharing"?

I have set up my iTunes library to be shared with others over our home network. This is the "Share your library" option, and NOT "Home Sharing" since my wife has her own Apple ID and I, unfortunatly, have 2. She was wanting to listen to our music on her iPad but could not figure out how to access the shared library. The "Music" app (click more, select library) only seems to work for Home Shared libraries. (In fact, I had tried Home Sharing first and when I turned it off, all of the buttons at the bottom of the Music app's screen disappeared - note: she has no music stored on the iPad.)
So, how can an iPad access a shared iTunes music library without using Home Sharing?
(iPad 2, iOS 6; Mac 10.8, iTunes 10 because 11 totally inhibits my ability to use my iPod the way I want.)

You enable Home Sharing using one AppleID. Doesn't matter which you use but all devices must use the same AppleID for Home Sharing.
