How do view previous cost estimate price in material master

Dear,
friend i want to see the previous standard estimate price of FG and SFG in material master data.i can view current and future standard price. But not the previous price so kindly anybody suggested me, is there any configuration needed for view previous price in controlling module.

You can try table MBEWH table for Material valuation price for previous periods
Or get product cost estimate number KALNR field from KEKO and use that as an input to CKIS table. Here cost is displayed as itemization

Hi Gurus,
We have two costing variant. One standard variant(PPC1) is to update in Material master as standard price. Another one it need to update in the Tax price in material master as reference for sales. We created seperate varaint to update in tax price. But after releasing it not picking full value. Can you guide me how we do the setting to update full value in tax price in the material master.

Go to OKTZ - Select your Cost Comp Str - Against each Cost Component, check whether they are marked as Relevant for Tax Price
Also, Select your Cost Comp Str and click on the Cost Component Views (Left side of the screen)
here, also mark as relevnt for Tax Price

in material master Costing tab 2, i can view the current and future cost estimate price. but i want to view the previous month standard cost estimate price in material master?

When you re-release a Std Cost - The Future cost would become the CURRENT cost and the Existing curent cost would become the PREVIOUS cost.... You can then see the Previous cost estimate in material master

Do we have to release the cost estimate price before we do the ML posting closing step? If yes then why the ML mark price and release price is placed at the last step of CKMLCP list of steps which is after the ML closing step?

Lets take an example.
Current period is 02 (Feb 2012).
Previous period is 01 (Jan 2012).
Future period is 03 (Mar 2012).
Befor 31st of january you can create Std cost estimate CK40N (you can complete selection, structure explosion & costing) for Releasing Std cost on 1st Feb.
Open MM & FI Periods on 31st night or 01Feb early
Perform the marking and relaseing (CK40N)
Run CO month end closures eg. OH cal, WIP, Var, Set, etc.
Create Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) for previous period (Jan). May be by this time we are in 1st week of Feb.
Complete all the steps of ACR (till Post closing)
Last step Mark Material prices (if you perform this step it will mark ACR prices as standard price for March period. This step has some limitations like Itemization will not be available for Std cost estimation. Read the help.sap.com for more details.

Previous cost estimate missing

Hi All,
I'm still new in product costing. I have a situation like this :
Material AAA plant 1111
Run cost estimate and released :
- 28.06.2011 = RM147.65
- 12.08.2011 = RM177.71
But when I checked in material master (MM03) - I don't see the previous cost which is the June. I only see current cost (August).
I checked CK13N - for the costing run on June - it's still exist, so It's NOT DELETED, But it does not appear in my material master.
Please anyone can help me to explain ?

How to reset planned price in material master

Hi Gurus,
Can anyone tell me how to reset planned price in material master.
my user has run ck40n with wrong values, but i am not able to reverse costing run by using ckr1 or ck44. what could be the reason behind this.
even after executing tcode ckr1, i can still see the standard cost in material master.
how to reverse the costing run.

Hi,
If you want reset you can delete the cuurent planned price in the material master for the cuurent period,
Use t.code CKR1, you have to enter comapny code, plant,material
In control parameters you have to choose radio button Current Standard Cost Estimates
Current Standard Cost Estimates
If you set this indicator, the system will select the current standard cost estimates for deletion.
If you also set the Additive cost estimates indicator, then additive cost estimates will be selected for deletion.

SAP: Cannot save product cost in commercial price in material master

Hi,
I have created a PCE which is designed to save the cost estimate in commercial price in accounting tab in material master. The issue that I am facing is that the cost; that is released perfectly is not saving in the commercial price in material master; instead the price saved in the commercial price is the previous price.
If I try to change the "costing type" for the PCE to any where other than "commercial price" or tax price; the price is saved successfully.
My question is that why the PCE's price is not saved in the commercial or tax price in the material master.
I would really appreciate your help.

In the costing type, choose "prices other than standard price".
And while doing CK24, you can choose the commercial price field to receive the cost estimate result

I am updating the price in material master monthly by std. cost estimate,
Can it be possible to change the price manually.
If it can changed manually ..........can anyone tell me how to do it...........
I tried it by MR21, but it is not allowed in my system..............

To change the std price manually first u have to delete the std cost estimate for that month which has been marked & released . To do that use t- code CKR1 then change the std price using MR21.
This should work.

Price in material master

Dear all
the price in material master was 15.50 INR but due to client required 3 decimal place so fico consultant has changed it to 3 decimal place in spro SAP Natwear ->general setting--->currency and maintained 3 decimal places. it changes to 155.0 when this problem occcured he changed as before. it doesnt effect in material master price.
the problem is that this is not for 1 material this is for all materials.how to make it as previous
how to changed it .
please help me out.

Please let me know whether its a Standar Price Or Moving Average Price.
Whatever it may be you can change the Moving average Price for a Particular Plant in MR21 Trxn code.
If its a Standard Price Re enter the Price in the Future value Field and Give Valid from date. Bcoz once you enter Price in the Material Master it wont Fluctuate.

HI Balaji,
You can not have a selling price in material master.
The reason is the selling price changes due to conditions say a particular customer you may want to charge less (a platinum customer) a particular season you may want to give discount a particular area you may want to sell the material costlier or vice versa there can be a thousand variations of selling price where as Material master it is going to be same.
So we assign selling price in condition price and attach these condition types to Pricing procedures and hence these can be picked up automatically during Sales Order.
It is for this reason that we maintain selling price in Condition types so depending upon the condition of sale the correct price is picked up.
Nevertheless the manufacturing cost of the material is same to the company no matter what this is maintained in material master in costing view price per unit.

Hello friends,
I have one report, which calulate month wise total production quantity and total price of that quantity. I get production quantity correct. But while calculating price, system takes current material price from material master. I want that system should take respective month price. Changed new price should not taken.
In which table i get the month/date wise price of the material?

Please check MBEWH table.
MBEW tablestores the current valuation price, while MBEWH stores the previous or historical value. In your material master go to accounting-1 view you can click on previous preiod/year & view the historical values.

Field name for Moving average price is VERPR and the field selection group is 37.
In the path - spro / Logistics general / field selection / Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens--> give the field selection grp as 37 and make the field as Display for the particular Field reference (Eg ROH - for material Type ROH). Save your entries.
When you create material for material type ROH, you will have MAP field as display mode.

Process will not be created with zero standard prices in material master

Hi,
I have two type of material;
1. In process material say A1
2. Finished Goods say B1
Both materials price control are standard price. I do not run costing. So , after creation of material master , standerd price has to update through MR21 in the account1 tab before start production .
Suppose, if I forget to update standard price in material master and prepared process order, it will carry zero value of production cost.
Hence, I want to restrict the creation of process order with zero standard prices in the material master.
In order words, as long as standard price will not be updated after creation of the material master, user will not be allowed to create process order, if wrongly try, system will give message u201Cwith zero standard price creation of process order will not be allowedu201D.
Please let me know either standard configuration or name of User exit or Badi.

You need to use BADI: workorder_update.
Method: At release.
check MBEW-STPRS field in the code ..and flag error and reject error if STPRS = 0.

Standard Price in material master and MBEW

We have unique problem. The currency was setup with out decimal places due to some valid reason. Due to which STANDARD PRICE in MATERIAL MASTER looks alright (lets say 1000) but in MBEW(field STPRS) it is 10.
I would like use value which is in Material master for calculations in ABAP program. How can i achieve this? Is there any function module for the same so that I can convert value in MBEW-STPRS to value in material master.

Try to use the following FM's:
CONVERT_MATPR_TO_MBEW_MTPER
use the BAPI "BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL" and take the price from the Export parameter MATERIALVALUATIONDATA. This parameter points to the structure BAPIMATDOBEW which has all the material price details like :
Price control indicator
Moving average price/periodic unit price
Standard price
Price Unit
Currency Key
ISO code currency
