How do we backup the Appsets in BPC NW7.5

Hi Experts,
I know that BPC data will be stored on the Database but I am confused that how to backup the Appsets and the data on the .NET Server.
If possible can anyone please share the views on this.

Sorry but right now this functionality is not available in BPC 7.5 NW current version. But we can expect in future versions.

Not sure what you mean. Deleting a POP account only deletes the messages stored in the account’s mailboxes, not any messages stored in custom “On My Mac” mailboxes, if that’s what you mean. It’s not that Mail goes after your mail trying to delete as much as it can. It’s just that if a mail account is deleted, then its mailboxes cannot exist anymore...
That said, instead of deleting the account right away, you can just disable it (i.e. turn OFF Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account), leave it that way for some time, and delete it only after making sure you didn’t miss anything while the account was disabled.
BTW, if you back up your data, and the ~/Library/Mail folder in particular, you won’t have to worry about accidentally losing anything as a result of doing something like that...
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

EVen if there is no way to backup, what is the system file for Firefox that stores these, so i can transfer this file or open it in an XML or similar editor to copy them out?

The permissions.sqlite file stores 'allow' and 'block' exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and extensions (software) installation.

How do you backup the contents of your memory card...

I have bought a much larger capacity memory card for my 6680. How can I backup the contents (total) of my old Nokia supplied card ? PC Suite 6.6 fails everytime when I try to use that. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Again, I've got to agree with the others about the USB card-reader. You can pick up a card reader specifically for RS-MMC cards from MobyMemory.com:

Transferring over bluetooth or even USB using PC Suite can be very time consuming.
My phone also fails when I do a backup, but mine fails on Contacts, not on the memory card backup, so it might be that the error PC Suite is giving you isn't about the memory card backup.
Another thing to note is that the PC Suite file format for backing up is a binary file though, so once you've got 512MB file with all your files inside, you can't just 'unzip' it and view the contents, you'd have to upload it back to the phone before it would be readable.
The best suggestion would be to use a card reader.

CSA: How to properly backup the CSA Client Installation on a user pc?

coming from the backup side of things my question is: "How to successfully backup the csa client files on a pc?"
Currently when running the nightly backup i am running into the problem that access to certain csa files is denied.
E.g.:

Whats the proper way to backup a client including csa. Obviously i can't make my TSM client shutdown the service and then fill out the captcha which protects it.
What would be the correct way to configure CSA properly to allow us to make a backup of the full machine. I guess we are not the only ones backing up full systems. ;)

I would start by looking at your policy/rule modules to see what is blocking the backup process to "backup" those files.
If your CSA policy is actually doing the blocking, you should be able to create the exception(s) to give the process/user/etc. the ability to access the CSA agent files for backup.
Depending on the CSA policy you are running, the CSA agent protects itself from attack.

Just syncing the iPhone to your computer will backup most of the information in iTunes. The iTunes backup does not backup pictures, or audio and video content but that information is usually on the computer.

How do i backup the rest of my contacts on my phone to icloud?

i had bought an i phone and trasnfered my contacts into the phone later on i signed up for icloud and it was actiavated in my phone since then all thenew contacts which i add in my directory they automatically store in icloud backup but the contacts which were already there before in my phone do not have a backup in iclound
so basically when my phone is lost or broken i can restore my new contacts from icloud but the remaning contacts need to be backup from my computer where i had previously saved.
i want to know how can i backup ALL MY CONTACTS NEW AND OLD in icloud so its much more conveninet and saves the hassle

Welcome to the Apple community.
I think you are confusing backup with syncing. With backup, all contacts that are on your phone will be part of the backup file. With syncing only the contacts in your iCloud account are synced with iCloud.
Check the accounts that you have in the contact app, you may well have some contacts in your iCloud account and others in your "on my phone" account, the contacts in the latter account will not sync.

How do I backup the *contents* of a sparseimage (but not the actual image)?

I'd like to backup the contents of a sparseimage using TM. If I just point TM to the imagefile, I run in to the issue that each time I add/modify a file inside the image, then TM marks the whole image as changed and hence backs it all up. And since the image is large I run out of diskspace.
Is there some way I can just back up the contents of the image? If my sparse image file is:
/Users/shared/foo.sparseimage and it gets mounted as:
/Volumes/foo
is there someway I can point TM to /Volumes/foo and then exclude TM backing up /Users/shared/foo.sparseimage (I know how to do the latter).

If you use a sparsebundle disk image instead of a sparseimage, that shouldn't happen.

A sparse bundle looks and acts just like a sparse image - it can grow in size, can optionally be compressed or encrypted, and so on. What's different is that it isn't actually a single file, as all previous disk image formats were. It's a bundle (also known as a package) - a folder that Mac OS X treats as a single file, which is also true of applications. (To verify this, you can Control-click or right-click a sparse bundle, choose Show Package Contents from the pop-up menu, and browse through its contents.) Inside that package is a folder full of bands - files that are each 8 MB in size, as many as are needed to hold the image's data.
What's cool about this is that if you change something on a sparse bundle (adding or modifying a file, for instance), only the band(s) containing that data change, not the whole bundle. As a result, assuming your backup software treats the contents of bundles as individual files, you no longer have to back up a huge disk image just because a tiny file changed. Your backup software only has to copy the 8 MB band(s) containing any of that file's data (often only one). So I converted my encrypted sparse image to an encrypted sparse bundle, and now I can include it along with all my other files in my ordinary backups.

My time machine is not working and the disk utilities cant repair it and is asking me to format the drive again. How can I backup the files before formatting the drive so that I don't lose my files?

How can I back up my files before reformatting when I can't even open the drive's folder?

How do I backup the data on my 6700 slide?

I have a 6700 slide, and I have problems with the memory. The phone says the memory is full, even though I removed all the files I can, and cleared the cache in the internet browser. When i remove things the amount of memory doesn't change at all. Now I can't take photos, and I can't put any music in my phone at all, it's very frustrating!
I read that it could be a good idea to hard reset the phone to free up memory. But then I'll need to do a backup on my data, but how do I do that?
It's basically the contacts i need to backup, since I sort of removed all the other files....

Download the Nokia Suite from here and install on your PC.. Connect the phone to PC and open OVI Suite.. Go to Tools --> Back-Up and follow instructions.. For added safety use the 'SYNC' function too.. and the Data will get Synced with the Nokia Suite. Other than the Contacts.. you may Sync the Messages, Photos, Music also...

How to separately backup the Boot Camp drivers partition from Leopard DVD?

I used Disk Utility and my only (and expensive) DVD+R DL disc to make a backup copy of my Leopard DVD, and it worked perfectly to install Leopard on my MacBook Pro.
However, that was before I learned that the Boot Camp drivers was now on a separate, PC-only partition on the DVD. So while my backup copy works great to install Leopard, I have no backup of the Boot Camp driver CD.
I tried several tricks, including booting into Windows Vista and using PowerISO to attempt to make an ISO image of the Boot Camp driver partition (shows up as 400 MB or so). However, the ISO image generated is a whopping 7.6 GB, same size as the full Leopard DVD. I then tried to take that back into the Mac OS side, but it was "unmountable". Toast 8 was able to make an image of the full DVD that (I'd presume, as did previous versions of Toast) would contain both partitions of an ISO-9660 volume, but when I mounted that disk image with Toast 8, I didn't get the two-mounted-volume like I'd normally expect to see.
I'd really like to know how to backup this volume - I demo this system regularly on my MacBook for clients, and I don't want to have to keep using my nice, pristine Leopard DVD when I have to do my weekly re-install. Any thoughts on how to get a simple extraction of the actual volume used for the Boot Camp drivers?

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question! Although I think your steps will "work", per se (and I will try them out as soon as I can), I'm something of a purist in regards to my backups and so this method seems a little hackish as opposed to a process that actually images the volume in question (I'm also curious from a technical perspective, as the Boot Camp Assistant Beta used to allow for a dedicated MacintoshDrivers disc to be burned from it—I liked that method better, to be honest).

I've just re-installed my windows XP, after I connected my ipod touch to my PC, opened itune, and tried to sync but it wouldn't backup my files (pitures,applications...) to itune? Anyone know how to tansfer my files and applications back to my itune?

I did that.. but in my itune, it's still blank under application, photos etc...?
I tried to sync applications, it said all existing app and their data on the ipod will be replaced with applications from this itunes library... but there's no app in the library??
