How do we create grids ?
Hi
Please give me sample example for creating grids .
There is no such JavaFX visual control available (yet?). You can wrap swing JTable and work with it, there is good tutorial on http://jfx.wikia.com/wiki/SwingComponents
Alternative is to draw your table and handle events manually, but that might involve a lot of coding.

How can we create save layout option in grid tool bar
hi,
how can we create select layout option in grid tool bar to save my own layout. if any one knows tell me immediately
thanksHi again,
1. We need to do 1 additional thing.
data : GS_variant TYPE DISVARIANT.
GS_variant-REPORT = sy-repid.
2. while calling pass this parameter also.
IS_VARIANT = GS_variant
It will work now.
3. Moreover, I_SAVE has 3 options.
I_SAVE = SPACE
Layouts cannot be saved.
I_SAVE = 'U'
Only user-defined layouts can be saved.
I_SAVE = 'X'
Only global layouts can be saved.
I_SAVE = 'A'
Both user-defined and global layouts can be saved.

How can i create a grid with summary row
Hello Professionals,
I'm wondering how could i create a grid like the grid below, i want to create a grid with summary row,
i have tried to create it using collapsing but it didn't work as required.
Any suggestions?, i want to know just the starting point so i can make deep investigations.
Thanks in Advance,Hi Karem,
this can be achieved by just assigning a datatable containing the data plus some formatting of grid. Meaning there is no feature for that.
The datatable can be filled manually or by sql query. Then you have to attach some events for updating the values ( validate after for gid item ).
A small example for a sql query showing last month quotations and orders with summary :
select 1 as Sort,cast(DocNum as varchar) as DocNum,DocTotal,convert(varchar, DocDate,104) from OQUT where DocDate between DATEADD(month, -1, GETDATE()) AND GETDATE()
UNION ALL
Select 2 as Sort,'Summary ( Quotation ) : ',sum(DocTotal), convert(varchar, DATEADD(month, -1, GETDATE()),104)+' - '+convert(varchar, GETDATE(),104) from OQUT where DocDate between DATEADD(month, -1, GETDATE()) AND GETDATE()
UNION ALL
select 3 as Sort,cast(DocNum as varchar) as DocNum,DocTotal,convert(varchar, DocDate,104) from ORDR where DocDate between DATEADD(month, -1, GETDATE()) AND GETDATE()
UNION ALL
Select 4 as Sort,'Summary ( Order ) : ',sum(DocTotal), convert(varchar, DATEADD(month, -1, GETDATE()),104)+' - '+convert(varchar, GETDATE(),104) from ORDR where DocDate between DATEADD(month, -1, GETDATE()) AND GETDATE()
ORDER by Sort

How do you create THIS "grid" in Oracle Forms
Hi,
I am new to Forms. I have to develop a grid very similar to the one shown here.
How can you create the grid in the bottom??
I can't see using any of the standard Oracle toolbox items (like multi-record blocks) for this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
User 122...Hi Soofi,
Appreciate your quick response.
In the image, can you see a huge grid?
Grid column headings are days of the week, Mon, Tue, Wed etc.
Grid Rows also have names, like Room, Status and Rm. Type.
Cells have various values in various colors (red, blue, green etc) and signs like ">>".
Can you see that??
My question is, how to create a grid like this in Oracle Forms??? We cannot do it using a multi record block.
So, how have they done it??? The form in the image is an actual Oracle Form from a hotel reservation system. -

How to create grid texture in Photoshop?
Christoph points out a very good method for creating your own grid pattern.
There is one already provided that may be sufficient. Choose Edit - Fill - Pattern, load the standard Patterns set, and choosing the grid pattern Tiles-Smooth from the provided Patterns...

How would I create a wheel shape
Hi, I am new to Illustrator
I was wondering how I would create this shape in Illustrator CS3
I have scanned this in in Photoshop but it ain't pretty. I need a clean full version with no gaps and slightly rounded corners. I would be grateful if someone could take the time to explain step by step. Thanks in anticipationPie Chart Method this will give you a general idea it requires expanding and use of the another ellipse and deleting path segments.
It is a long story but takes only about ten minutes because you will make some mistakes. And in the end I outlined the strokes
Here is the transform way using two strokes acting as radii and overlapping two concentric circles using the path finder or Live Paint features.
Coloring some stroke with a color of none. You can then expand that. I don't have a screen shot of this method.
Here is with the Polar grid it would really be good that made geometry like this that could easily be updated I think they are called primitives.
A feature long need by Illustrator. -
How do I create specific movie fiolders

Any help would be appreciated!!

DazlingThe construction of the middle image is most apparent, even in its small size, so let's begin with that one.
The key element to creating this effect is the creation of the mask consisting of equal width, equally spaced stripes. Here is how to make that mask quickly and accurately:
1. After creating the two image layers, choose the top layer and click on the mask symbol at the bottom of the Layers panel.
2. Choose View > Show > Grid. To see the mask Option click on it. The area will be white with the grid showing.
3. Use the Rectangular Marquee tool to select the first stripe width. Edit > Fill > Black to create the first stripe.
4. Then Hold down Cmd+Opt+Shift and choose Edit > Free Transform. Be sure to release the mouse before releasing the keyboard keys.
5. With the marching ants still showing, hold down the Shift key for alignment and drag the stripe to the right. Do not use the center mark in the selection when dragging. Drag it to a grid line the same distance as the width of the first stripe. Then Enter. You have done the difficult part.
6. With the marching ants still showing, hold down Cmd+Opt+Shift and strike the T key repeatedly. Each time you do, another duplicate will appear, following the spacing you designated.
7. Select > Deselect to remove the marching ants.
To see the completed work, click on the eyes in the layers panel. -
How do you create a layout template in photoshop elements 8
How do you create a layout template into photoshop elements 8
You have to do it manually.
Use the marquee tools to define the components of the template, then apply a stroke via the Edit menu. It's best to place the stroke on a separate layer, and position with the move tool.
You may fine it helpful to have the grid open for orientation. -
How do i create space in my start up disk on mac book pro?
how do i create space in my start up disk on mac book
For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation—not the mythical 10%, 15%, or any other percentage. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install the app you downloaded in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
sudo /Applications/GrandPerspective.app/Contents/MacOS/GrandPerspective
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Ignore any other messages that appear in the Terminal window.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal. -
How can I make GRID view the default view? The icons for view that used to be located in the upper right top of the page near the 'search library' are gone.
99jon wrote:
Perhaps it’s a design feature to speed up the Organizer launch.
I am sure it is.
- The normal use of the Organizer is not the folder view, it's the thumbnail view with an organization based on categories and folder. That way you should forget completely where your pictures are stored. Anyway, the folder view in the Explorer is not a map of the location of the different bits of your file, it's only a logical representation. That's easy to see when you are doing a defragmentation.
- The folder view is useful even for those using normally the thumbnail view, but that is only for rare cases when you must change the folder organization, for instance moving files to another drive. The folder view is here to prevent you from changing things from the explorer and outside of the Organizer.
- The new folder list view, which you find 'funny' is there to help better organizing using tags. Its huge advantage is that such a view is created extremely quickly by extracting the last subfolder in the media table : it's the way the database sees the folders, based on its own content, totally ignoring the complex folder organization of your disk with media files or any unrelated other kind of data. You should use it in many cases, the main purpose being assigning tags when you have assigned descriptive folder names. I had suggested such a solution to prevent the long standing bugs in the folder view of previous versions.
So yes, the purpose is:
- to speed up switching modes
- to help folder organization fans to migrate to tags organization
- to hopefully get rid of the old folder organization bugs -

How set dynamically created query in GridControl?
How set dynamically created query in GridControl?
Thank youIf your dynamic query is based on an Entity object, then you can probably use RowSetInfo setQueryInfo method.
The argument to this method is a 'Query' object. There are three flavours provided in the oracle.dacf.dataset
package.
oracle.dacf.dataset.QueryViewInfo
defines an updateable SQL query based on a predefined BC4J View Object.
oracle.dacf.dataset.QueryStatementInfo
Creates a view object based on an arbitrary SQL statement.
oracle.dacf.dataset.QueryInfo
Creates a View Object from an Entity Object and additional SQL clauses. The View Object will have
that Entity Object as its sole Entity Object base.
If in your application you are able to specify the name of the entity, then you can use the QueryInfo method to define your
query. Please try the following.
SessionInfo si = ....
void runDynamicQuery()
RowSetInfo rsi = new RowSetInfo();
AttributeInfo ai = new AttibuteInfo(..);
ai.setName(..);
rsi..addChild(ai);
si.addChild( rsi)
rsi.setQueryInfo( new QueryInfo( ...../* include entity name */ .... ));
rsi.setName(....);
rsi.open(true);
grid.setDataItemName(...);
Hope this helps,
Sathish. -
How do I create simple form with issue result request
How do I create the form, on which took seats GRID with result of the request from table Oracle. I do not use iAS.
Thank you for this George, however a couple of sticking points. When I copied and pasted the code over to my file it didn't work, even when I pointed the code to my combo and checked all settings and properties of the other objects. The unusual thing was that I had to copy all the boxes over from your file with the script and it worked, it even hid and revealled my original objects which I wanted. I then called the code from my original combo and deleted the one I had copied from your file and all was OK
The second thing is that when I try and edit the combo box, I can only move between one or two of the options set in the box, although I can see all the other options, I cannot select them the cusor simply jumps to the top options. I had to delete all the options and retype them all in assigning the 0,a,b,c, etc. Although this works, when I go to edit, it still only allows me to select up to the first four in the edit, but the form appears to be working fine. Is there a special order which i need to folow, can I have labels in the combo with spaces e.g. "family appointment"?
And finally, I added some background colours to the section_a_backgrounds (b,c,d) also, but these do not work, even though the text copies across into the section_background. I'm confused with all these issues, should it not have worked as it was???
I am using acrobat X pro, does this make a difference? -
How can I create JScrollPane in my swing application with scroll bars movin
Hi,
How can we create scrollpanes moving with scrollbars.I tried many times with custom layout.but it does not work if i set custom layout.I hope that I will get my problem solved.
Thanks and Regards,
Rameh RKThis means it is not possible to create a pure unicode file without the byte order mark?
You wouldn't happen to know how a file with byte order mark should read on a Linux system?
Or if this possible or not?
