How do we get proper-looking fractions in Pages 5?

In previous iterations of OSX, you could do this by navigating to the Keyboard Preferences and checking the boxes for substitutions you wanted to occur.
I can't find any options like this in Mavericks.
Any ideas?

Make sure you pass that on by rating Reviewing Pages 5.2 in the App Store.
I don't know how much Apple pays attention to customer dissatisfaction, but this week I was several times in the Sydney George Street Apple Store which is usually packed, noisy and a hive of eager users and shoppers. Whilst not empty it is now unusually quiet with only a handful of people.
Hard to tell whether users are bored or fed up, or both.

How do I get Quick Look to show .stl file 3d models?

Hey folks
Previous OS using quick look showed a picture of the 3d file (.stl format) used in 3d printing
Upgraded to mavericks....no preview.
Anyone know how I can get Quick Look to show a preview picture of the 3d model? Not sure how it worked in the first place.

Hi,
I'm working on it.
I just released a new version of Pleasant3D (v2.3.1) which integrates a lot of new functionality (e.g. slic3r support and more).
Unfortunately this update still doesn't fix the Quicklook problem on Mac OS X 10.9. Although I found the problem, I still don't have a solution for this.
However, I implemented much better error checking in the Quicklook plugins and an automatic fallback to display the standard document icon if the plugin fails. That way at least the Quicklook deamon (quicklookd) doesn't crash anymore in case the preview generation fails.
I try to find a fix for the Quicklook problem as soon as possible (if any Mac OpenGL offscreen experts are around, I could really need some help with this...)

Don't worry. Your English is better than my Dutch!
You might want to look at taking some of the tutorials on Aperture offered at Lynda.com. You can sign up for a month and take as much training as you want to brush up on your skills.
However, for now, you can reduce the colour in you rimages by reducing the saturation level. If, however, you are happy with the flesh tones, but find the other colours too bright, us ethe Vibrancy slider to reduce all colours but the flesh tones. Try playing with the mid-contrast slider to see if that works for you. You can also try adjusting the black point to see if that makes a difference.
The good news is that Aperture is non-destructive in its editing, so you can go crazy trying all the adjustment settings to see what effect they have on your image without worrying about destroying your original photo.
So I would encourage you to try experimenting with the various adjustment options to learn what they do and by all means take somne training in the use of Aperture or buy a good book on the subject.

When I have finished reviewing an app, if I click the back arrow in the top left corner it takes me back to the first page of the category. Not very user friendly when there are dozens of pages to click through to get back to where you were. How do I get back to the same page I was on?

You may open the original form in FormsCentral and toggle to “Page View” at the lower right corner. Adjust the page content to make sure no page breaks in this view.

How do I get an older version of Pages for older Macbook?

I am interested in an older version of Pages, one that had the good template options for flyers. I have OS 10.7.5 and since I have an older mac book laptop, I cannot upgrade to Mavericks. How do I get an older version of Pages? Ultimately, I'm interested in making flyers with good ready made templates, so I'm open to another alternative as well, if you have suggestions, thanks!

How do I get a Word Count in Pages 5.5.2?

View menu > Show Word Count.
A floating panel will appear at the bottom of your document. Pass your mouse over the right-side of this floating panel and you will see up/down arrows. Click. Choose Word count from the list of available counts. The floating panel now displays word count, until you change it again. You can also move this floating panel with a command+click+drag, in case you want it below your footer content.
You might want to download the free WordService service solution from the OS X App Store. I provides you with many additional features (e.g. Sort Ascending, Document Statistics, etc.) The act of downloading this application will install, but not activate several services. You activate what you want in:
System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services : WordService:servicename.

Are you wanting actual URL or just the url (query string
variables)?
For url variables you would reference the structure.variable
name like so:
#url.variablename#
So if you had a url like this:
http://www.somedomain.com?page=home&action=view
You could access the variables like so:
#url.page#
#url.action#
If you are wanting to actual page you could use:
#cgi.script_name#
