How do we invoke method of ejb which is on websphere through a jsp running on iplanet and both are on different machine
Hi Kathryn,
Yes, this is EXACTLY what I want to accomplish...
So it would basically run:
State 1
Read input
Determine next state (say 3)
State 3
Read input
Determine next state
State
Read input
Determine next state
And so on...
But, I am quite new to programming Labview state machines, and can't figure out how to even start when the sequence of states is random instead of fixed!!! I can do 1,2,3,4, like the vending machine VI example, but, not 1,3,2,2,2,5,2,1 etc. based on external input. Is there some simple example case I can study? I can't believe I am inventing this for the first time.
"select the state to run"
But, HOW do I do this??????? This is exactly the question I am asking...how is this done? Please see the attached 3-state system....how do I hook this up???? I am totally lost here...can you help me understand how to wire this thing?? In this simpe RED/GREEN/BLUE case, my input is just the number a user would input on the front panel.... Apparently, there are two files necessary... a vi and .ctl??? What is .ctl?
Thanks,
Dave

If you open the Example Finder and enter "dialog" you will find a "Login Dialog" VI that is a popup with a Close button. It is setup as a dialog, but this can be easily changed from the VI Properties->Window Appearance.
An alternative approach if you want the stuff displayed all the time is to use subpanels. This embeds a subVI's front panel in a subpanel on a main VI. Another option is to use a tab control.
You need to think beyond how to popup windows. You need to think architecture, which is where 90% of your programming is going to be concentrated. The best approach for you is a producer-consumer architecture. Search this group for "producer consumer" and you'll come up with many examples.
This may seem like a cop-out answer, but your manager needs to seriously consider hiring an experienced LabVIEW developer who has done plant automation to act as a consultant and guide you. Anytime you're dealing with hardware there are always safety issues, even if you don't think there are. When you say "there is no major interlocks", that scares me.
What you're describing isn't overly difficult, but for someone who's just starting out it can be overwhelming, especially if you have no prior programming experience. And I don't mean LabVIEW experience - I mean basic programming knowledge and experience. 90% of the problems people have programming in LabVIEW is that they simply don't know how to program in the first place.

How can one invoke a WebLogic EJB from a BPEL Server hosted on OC4J?
How can one invoke a WebLogic EJB from a BPEL Server hosted on OC4J?
Reason I ask is I keep getting this error:
javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Cannot instantiate cla
ss: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotF
oundException: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory]
Note: I am using <bpelx:exec> as a way to execute some java program.
Essentially my java client (essentially an EJB client hosted on Oc4J) needs access to wlclient.jar since it needs access to weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory. I have a EJB client running on BPEL server hosted on Oc4J that needs to access some EJBs hosted on weblogic.
Where do I place this wlclient.jar so that BPEL PM can start peacefully and at runtime discover the InitialContextFactory classes?
Placing it in the j2ee/home/applib doesn't solve the problem. The server fails to start up if I do this
I tried placing it in BPEL-INF\lib directory ...
I still get the same exception...see below for exception dump
I verified the BPEL suitcase, and it in fact does contain the jar file wlclient.jar
integration\orabpel\domains\default\deploy contains the bpel_BPELProcess2_1.0.jar file and snapshot of that is as follows:
<PRE>
│ bpel.xml
│ BPELProcess2.bpel
│ BPELProcess2.jpr
│ BPELProcess2.wsdl
│ bpel_BPELProcess2_1.0.jar
│ build.xml
│ buildxml.copy
│ graphics.xml
│
├───BPEL-INF
│ └───lib
│ myEJB.jar
│ wlclient.jar
│
├───META-INF
│ MANIFEST.MF
│
└───output
bpel_BPELProcess2_1.0.jar
</PRE>
I tried using the BPEL-INF\jar directory...Is this something the obant automatically detects? or do I have to modify the build.xml? I created this directory and let Jdev deploy to local BPEL server->default domain handle it
#####################3
I even tried copying the wlclient.jar to
integration\orabpel\system\classes but this doesn't help since the BPEL PM fails to start if I explode this jar into this directory.
In short,where do I place the wlclient.jar so that this exception can be contained.
I edited the build.xml to point to the jar, that too didn't work, unless I made some mistake in the file
<bpelc classpath="${basedir}/BPEL-INF/classes;${home}/system/classes;${home}/lib/j2ee_1.3.01.jar;${basedir}/BPEL-INF/jar/wlclient.jar" input="${basedir}/bpel.xml" rev="${rev}" deploy="${deploy}" />
</target>

with the bpelx all I have is two lines of code that creates a java object and calls a method on it.
The method does this:
private String initialContextFactory = "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory";
private String providerUrl = "t3://localhost:7001";
private String urlPkgPrefixes = "";
private String mapEjbJndiName = "ejb/mycompany/Redlands";

MyEJBHome home = (MyEJBHome ) PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ms, MyEJBHome.class);
myEjb = home.create();
return myEjb.getDefaultName();
} catch (RemoteException re){
System.out.println(re.getCause().getMessage());
catch (Exception ex) {
ex.printStackTrace();
return null; //if unable to resolve the context factory etc...
}I did exactly as you suggested. I edited the application.xml and added this
<library path="C:\ArcGIS\test\bea\wlclient.jar"/>
I didn't add weblogic because the needed classes were all in wlclient.jar
I also edited the BASE_OB_CLASSPATH to include this jar.
Here is the result when I just start BPEL PM Server. Somehow BPEL PM doesn't like to have wlclient.jar in its classpath during startup.

I have a iPad and iPhone with the same Apple ID, but on Game Center I have used the same id for both devices and they are two different profiles and I was wondering how to have one of the accounts on both devices.
Hi Jamesdwills,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide. Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

how do I share movies/music between my computers. I have opened shared on both computers and both are on, but i am not able to drag anything from one to the other. Does anyone know where the settings button is on the bottom of the itunes screen?
Oops, I forgot a step between 7 and 8 ... before syncing the iPhone I need to explicitly send the document back to iTunes on the iPhone, or the changes won't come over at all ...
and then one more thing ... Numbers on iOS does NOT recognize a number of key features of the OSX app, such as conditional formatting ... so after editing my document on iOS and syncing it back to OSX on my Mac, all of those settings are lost (no more conditional formatting, have to do it all over again)
What am I doing wrong ? -

I have two Airport Expresses running at my house. Both are connected to different types of speakers. Neither speaker set has its own equalizer, and both require a different EQ setting to sound just right. Does anyone know of a way to have iTunes automatically change its EQ setting based on which Airport Express it is streaming to?
I'm in the same boat. I have a 6 zone amplifier running with 6 airport expresses to different rooms inside and outside the house. Each has it's own acoustic characteristics. I'd really love to be able to set each airport to equalize based on my SPL frequency sweep I did for each room.
Setting the eq in itunes won't do it as that is global plus I have many more sources for auiod other than itunes that use the AEs directly. -
How do I reference an EJB inside anothe EJB ,both are on different hosts
Hi,
I want to reference an EJB on one host inside another EJB in another
host. Even if i hardcode the url of the host on which the EJB is
deployed , it gives me the error regarding the no such ejb found.
I would appreciate your help.
ThanksRobert,
We've been trying to implement this type of multi-server setup for some
time now. Our application consists of 260+ EJBs with a large team of
developers actively working against it. The business logic in our
application puts the EJBS in a highly interrelated situation. This
degree of interrelation makes it necessary for each developer to deploy
the entire application before any work can get done.
Starting a weblogic server, on a Windows Workstation, with 260+ beans is
very time consuming. But to get around this development bottle neck, we
are attempting the same scenario described in this thread. We have
recently upgraded from WL4.5.x to WL5.1 SP8. With WL5.1, we get the
CommunicationException seen previously in this thread. But the Error
message in WL5.1 is less descriptive. The 5.1 error message is missing:
WL6.0 Error Text: "This error could indicate that a component was
deployed on a cluster member but not other members of that cluster. Make
sure that any component deployed on a server that is part of a cluster
is also deployed on all other members"
It is obvious that weblogic's clustering depends on classes being
available to each server in the cluster, including the ejbc generated
_WLStub classes. To me, it seems wrong that a weblogic server can only
use standard JNDI to lookup HomeInterfaces on other weblogic servers if
the hidden _WLStub classes are available to both servers. I say this
because non-weblogic clients have JNDI lookup abilities without these
requirements. This whole experience was frustrating because all along
I knew that the solution was simply to take the hacker route and put the
classes in the the client classpath. I guess I just want to know if
this is bug? If not, I think it should be.
Thanks for listening

I did include the files using import and they are alsso packaged
into the jar file .
I have done this , TradeCheck is the ejb i am trying to reference
in Trader EJB.
I package them into the jar file as follows:-
@REM Compile EJB classes into the build directory (jar preparation)
javac -d build TradeCheck.java TradeCheckHome.java Trader.java
TraderHome.java TraderBean.java TradeResult.java
@REM Make a EJB jar file, including XML deployment descriptors
cd build
jar cv0f std_ejb20_basic_statelessSession2.jar META-INF examples
images
cd ..
@REM Run EJBC on jar file
java -classpath
%WL_HOME%/lib/weblogic_sp.jar;%WL_HOME%/lib/weblogic.jar weblogic.ejbc
-compiler javac build\std_ejb20_basic_statelessSession2.jar
%APPLICATIONS%\ejb20_basic_statelessSession2.jar
It still gives the same error not finding the stub class.... Could
you kindly elaborate on what needs to be done.
I would appreciate your help.
Thanks,

LinkageError invoking method on EJB
I'm getting a LinkageError on the first method invocation to an EJB,
where the class corresponding to the first parameter to the method is
identified as the culprit for the LinkageError. I'm doing this as part

the code functions correctly under Websphere. What problems can cause a

LinkageError is caused by incompatible classes in the environment. I would
suggest you rebuild your application under WLAS environment.
My 2 cents.

How to delete a folder in windows , which i was created through SAP
Hi ,
First I was created one folder in windows and through SAP application I downloaded some file into that. After closing all programs(Even SAP LOG off ) also. Now i want to delete that folder.
While deleting it showing error as some other program file or close that program.
That file only possible to delete throgh again F$_FileName FM.
plz give solution to delete that file from windows itself.hi,
Try to restart your pc then delete the file you want to delete.
I hope it helps. -
what now?
If the pictures were taken on the pad, or imported via the camera connection kit (cck) , then simply swipe the picture, and delete. If the pictures were downloaded from i tunes during a sync, the only way you can get them off is to re sync.
In i tunes, open the photo tab. There are a couple of boxes that control the process. The first thing to look at is 'sync all' versus 'sync selected'. Make sure the sync all box is not checked. Then check the particu
Ar folders to make sure the ones you want are the ones you want.
Look inside the folders, while you are at it. Sometimes the same picture may exist in multiple folders, so it gets synced even if you did not want it to. -
I bought my children ipad mini's...I signed them up using my apple id not realizing all of my calander, pictures, contacts and etc would show up on thier devices. I now want to switch them to their own apple id (which I have now created) but it won't let me erase my apple id on the device to change it...How can I change the apple id on the device?
Create a new IDs for them:
On the iPod go to
- Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into their ID. Make sure that only their ID email address is listed.
- Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into theirs. Make sure that under You can be reached at only their ID email address is listed
- Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with theirs
- Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out your ID and sign into theirs.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -
My daughters got Iphones a couple of years. I do not have an Apple-phone. I registered both phones on my email. The problem is that one of them get the others messages. I therefore need to make two different accounts for their apple-products. How do I do that?
On each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so. -

Hello there, jmcough.
I understand you are having issues with playback of purchased music. If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, it might be best to delete the song(s) from your device, then re-download from your purchase history.
To delete a song the following Knowledge Base article offers how to delete from your iOS device:

Music
Open the section below for the device you are using.

Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Tap the Music app.
Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
Tap Delete.
Afterwards, re-download the purchases from your purchase history:
