How do we share of divy up music from a "family" account

My children and I have always shared an appleid and itunes account. They are teenagers now and one has a an iphone and getting text conversations her brother is having on his ipod. I understand this is because we all share an id. I want to get each of them their own apple id but don't want them to have to repurchase the music we have accumulated together is there a way to share the music or divy it up?

there are two spots on an iPhone, iPad and iPod that use the AppleID.
- iCloud, controles messages, contact syncing, and calendar syncing
- itunes, controles all purchases you make and accessing them.
with that said this is what you need to do.
- Creat a new AppleID for your kids, and then enter that AppleID in the iCloud section of the devices only.
- settings > iCloud > delete account > keep on iPhone > sign in with new AppleID > merge with iCloud.
Then make sure that you use the shared AppleID in the iTunes section of the phone.
- settings > iTunes and App Stores > and make sure the old AppleID is signed in, that way they still have access to their apps and music.

I am trying to share the same music library with multiple iTunes accounts. Basically, I want to know if there is a way to automatically upload to other libraries when importing new music into my library, vice versa. [Better information below]
Me, my sister and my dad all use iTunes (on different iTunes accounts), and before now we used to have are own music on our own windows user. Due to many duplicates and a loss of hard drive space I have brought an external hard drive and organised all the music.
It was all going well - I first populated all the music onto my iTunes, exported the library, and then imported it on both the other users. However! Because this is only a copy of the library, when I try to import a new CD, it will not show up on there’s until I “Add File to Library”! Originally I thought about using the same library however we each have are own apps etc, that we don’t want to share.
If you need anymore information please ask!

Unfortunately the support is down at the moment, I will have a better look later. I did go though the Apple support previously, however I found nothing that worked.
The first thread I came across was “Home Sharing” however no mater what I did, it did not appear in the iTunes sharing list (I did go though the “Show Sharing Networks” support as well)
Secondly, I saw “Using A Single Library With Multiple Accounts On The Same PC” (Something like that) but all this did was let us share the same music location, if I was to rip extra music, it will not show in there library

New Apple user...finally ditched Microsoft. I have an iMac and macBook Pro. I want to share all my files between the two so any changes will reflect on both machines. I don't quite know how to get the information into iCloud. I use to use Google Drive with my pc but the account was compromised and I removed all data from it. Hi - I've brought my iphone 5 but cant seem to download my music from my itunes account onto it. I've downloaded the latest version of itunes as i heard this could be a problem but still no joy. The phone tries to sync when i plug it all in to the pc and even has the capacity bar showing about 12gb of audio but there is still nothing downloaded onto the phone.
The only thing i can see that might be causing the problem is that when i go into my itunes account it doesn't show that the iphone 5 is an option is the 'managed device' section but i dont know how i can add the new iphone 5 to this....
Can anyone please advise me on what to do ?

You can transfer the music purchased from iTunes Store to the computer but not music acquired somewhere else.
Syncing is one way street, computer to iPhone. You have to use 3rd party tool to transfer music not from iTunes Store to the computer.

It sounds like you have purchases in your iTunes library you no longer want or want to see. You can hide the purchases with your iTunes account settings, and this article will help you:

There are two ways to get music onto your iPhone. If you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer, you can setup manual syncing so that you transfer the playlists, artists or albums that you want on your iPhone.
You can also download music you've already purchased from the iTunes store to your iPhone at any time.

I'm confused.
You don't transfer music from an iTunes account. You transfer it from an iTunes library. Plug in the phone and sync it.

If you still have the crashed Win computer, you may be able to recover your music and movies from the hard drive. If you have a friend with a hard drive USB connection kit and a PC, they should be able to help. Otherwise, check locally for computer services that might do that for you (I think Best Buy Geek Squad may be able to help). If the drive itself is in good shape, it shouldn't be too expensive.
