How do you access "trouble shoot" for mail. My AOL account is set up on the mail icon but it some how defaulted to another Wi fi account and could not receive email. We reset the the Wifi but somehow didn't complete the process.

How do you access "trouble shoot" for mail. Our AOL account is set up on the mail icon but somehow it defaulted onto another nearby Wifi account while everything else that was running stayed on our router. We were unable to receive email on the AOL account and were directed to trouble shoot. We reset the Wifi account but somehow didn't save it correctly. Now we cannot get back in to reset it again. Direction??

I don't really understand your question. The Mail application cannot independently access a different wifi network from the one your computer is using.
Are you trying to troubleshoot your wifi (ie, you can't get into your own wireless network), or the Mail program (you can't get email)? Are there any error messages you see when you try to do one or the other?

Why dont you just change your Apple ID (your email)? Make a new Apple ID and do the security questions that you will remember. Also, make sure you write down all the info with your Apple ID for later refrence.
To create a new Apple ID, follow the easy steps below:
Settings > Itunes and App stores > Tap "Apple ID: (YOUR APPLE ID IS HERE!)" > Tap "Sign Out" > Tap "Create New Aple ID"

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account (and you've checked the spam folder on the account as well as the inbox, and tried clicking the reset link again) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When I had my old blackberry connected to my computer, all incoming emails were routed to my outlook so I did not get mails on my blackberry. How do I get it so my iphone4 does not receive emails when connected to my computer?

I am getting my iphone inbox bombarded so would like it to not receive emails when connected to my computer. My old blackberry had an app that took care of this which worked really well. Am wondering if I can do the same with my iphone4.

Blackberries were/are able to do that with some types of e-mail accounts because the mail is routed to an intermediary (BlackBerry Service).
There is no equivalent for the iPhone as the phone communicates directly with the mail servers and does not go through a 3rd party.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
First, just confirming that you realize you can always access your AOL email account by going directly to www.aol.com from the Safari browser (or Firefox, Chrome, etc.) until you get the Apple Mail problem fixed.
If you cannot connect directly through a browser, it's quite possible that AOL is doing maintenance or having a temporary problem. It happens with surprising frequency to most online hosts. I usually check downrightnow.com, but AOL is not one of the services for which they collect trouble reports.
Reconnecting your Apple Mail to your AOL account:
In the Apple Mail menubar, click on the Mailbox, Get New Mail, and highlight the AOL account.
You should see the 'spinning wheel' next to the account name for a moment while your AOL mail is retrieved.
That should successfully reconnect you.
Occasionally my ISP seems to corrupt a few packets and I'll get a message that all my external email account password are rejected, and asks me to re-enter them. Instead of re-entering passwords, I click 'cancel', and use this same procedure to re-connect.
NOTE: I'm on Snow Leopard OS X 10.6, and Mail 4.5 (1084) but I believe the process to reconnect did not change since OS X 10.5 Leopard.

My current account is [email protected] When I try to login into iCloud it's asking me to reset my ID. In order to do this, it wants a non-recovery email, email. I've tried multiple accounts, and checked spam folders etc, and not receiving a recovering email. I haven't had access to the @mac.com email for years now. I'd like to be able to have my mac account be under the email: [email protected] All of my purchases are on the account: [email protected], so I can't create a new account.

Besides all the troubleshooting things you've tried, all I can think of is your Profiles have changed, and your email notification was changed to None. This could have happened if you had been using a custom profile, then switched to one of the default ones (quiet, normal, loud). When I stop getting calendar notifications, I do a battery pull and they start coming in again.
EDITED: After rereading your post, I see it's not the notifications that are the problem, it's that you're not receiving the messages themselves? Did you reregister and resend service books (there's another thread on this)? Or call customer service from another line and they'll troubleshoot for you.

Submitted podcast XML to ITS and did not receive email.

Hi, new user here. I have set up a fully functional working Itunes compatible XML feed that was checked and verified by feedvalidate. During the submission to ITS everything went smoothly displaying all the proper info at the summary page. However it has been a few hours now and i have not received the email stating that my podcast has been submitted and is under review. I have also ensured that the right email was used with both my itunes account and inside the XML file. Does ITS still issue this email or do they only issue an email when you are accepted / denied. Thanks in advance.

It will probably take at least two weeks, maybe more before you hear that your podcast has (hopefully) been accepted.
It's worth checking a feed by subscribing to it manually from the 'Advanced' menu in iTunes; if it works there it should be fine. FeedValidator has its uses but it checks XML; a feed can be compliant with that and still not work in iTunes, though likely enough yours is fine.

I am able to receive messages on my IMac using Outlook but am unable to send. I've had no trouble in the past but began receiving the following messages today.

You have a phone that was returned as defective. How it got into the market again is anyone's guess, but the ONLY way to resolve it is to call Apple, and that may not resolve it either if it was pilfered by someone at an Apple repair center.

The lock indicates your connection to the sever is secure. It is not new and has always been there.
What is the error message exactly? IIRC it says something about deleting messages and compacting the folder. Have you done that?

TS4069 all of a sudden i can't get incoming mail. I can send just fine. I deleted my account and then reintalled it; now it only shows emails going back one month and still not receiving new ones.

I cannot receive incoming mail all of a sudden on my I-Pone 4. I deleted my comcast account and then set it up again as suggested. Now it only loaded messages beginning one month ago; and still not receiving any new. Any ideas?

There are only two things that I can suggest.
The first is to try the Mail Setup Assistant.
The other is giving Mozilla's Thunderbird a shot - setup the account and see if it will work with this free email app. I don't like Mail at all - and it gives some people fits around here (I don't know how many times people have posted about problems with outgoing servers using Mail).
Try both methods - I don't use Mail - I use MS's Outlook (and, before that, Entourage). If the Setup Assistant offers no relief, just try Thunderbird and see if it works with it.
