Hello Everyone, im hoping you can help me.
I recently ungraded my phone from an iphon4 to an iphone 5c, I sold my old iphone 4 to a friend and in order for them to activate it they needed me to enter my Apple ID and password. So i DID. However it will not activate the iphone and we dont know why, my apple ID and password are correct and I was the only previouse owner of the phone becasue i brought it NEW. So now I need help because I dont know how to unlock it so they can use it.
When we connect the phone to Itunes it says that "XXXXXXXXXX@XXXXXXXX cannot be used to activate

You need to do this or walk your friend through the process:
Settings > Messages > iMessage > Off
Settings > FaceTime > Off
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (this only unregisters and deletes it off the iPhone)
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings

If the iPhone is asking for an AppleID other than the one you used to activate the 4,
you will need to contact that person for assistance. If you are the original owner
of the iPhone 4 and have the original purchase receipt, take the iPhone 4 into Apple
to see if they can assist you. If they iPhone 4 was used before you got it, you
need assistance from the original owner.

Reason I ask is because, like others, I also have the antennae "issue". But no other issue. In fact, the phone seems to be functioning perfectly so far. Please report your activation stats. Here are mine:
Computer/Platform: MacBookPro/OS Leopard
Activated as: New Device (NOT from back-up)
I synced all contacts from MobileMe. All other content through iTunes. Did not sync any photos.
No perceivable issues so far. Device works as expected.
Another reason I ask is because my 3GS had a terrible screen-freeze problem for which there was never any resolution. And, after countless visits to the Apple store, about the only thing they could suggest was to delete all content and reactivate as a "new" device. Something I was reticent to do at the time, figuring I'd just wait for the next phone to do this... make a fresh start, etc.
Now, I had originally activated that phone on a Windows machine from a backup (which, when I told the Apple genius, illicited an "aha"). And now I'm wondering if it makes any difference at all.
Like I said... no other issues I can see on this iPhone4.
How have others activated? And what (if any) issues exist on their phones?
Curious.

I think all of the new phones have the same antennae "issue" to one extent or another, regardless of how they were activated. Really what I'd like to see are any of the other issues about which I've been reading.

There is no other way. Without the correct credentials you won't be able to use it.
Activation Lock cannot be bypassed, Apple will not help unless you have the original receipt (but not from some 3rd party)

Only the wireless carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.

You can create and use condition indices. You can use these indices to display, change and create condition records with reference. If you mean that the card is being reported as not being properly activated when you go to redeem it, what you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a copy of the receipt

As far as I'm aware you're referring to the passcode. It seems that you've forgot the passcode that you've inserted, so your best bet is to connect your iPod to iTunes and have it restored back to factory settings. You'll be able to find the restore button by clicking on your iPod's name that's located right below the "Device's Tab."
