How do you activate the new ipod touch if it won't let you create an apple id?
I just bought 2 brand new iPod touch 32 GB products for my kids and can not create an apple id for them to be able to facetime, text message....etc? There are no instructions or real specific info from apple? I mean you have to have a email address to create the apple ID but hotmail and gmail...etc won't allow kids to have email addresses?
If you already have an account. they only need separate email addresses for FaceTime and Messages.

Im glad you like the new iPod Touch. I also got the new iPod Touch 4G (32GB). It is a nice upgrade from the 2nd generation lacking some major features such as multitasking and home screen wallpaper.

No one knows when a new one is coming out. Apple has announced no plans of making a new one. If it's a camera, retina display, etc. that you want, the current iPod touch already has this. If you need/want these features, no reason to wait. We are not allowed to discuss future releases here, but I'll bet on "not for a while."

Only Apple knows the answer to that. It WILL need to use wifi connected to a network for it to work.

Sounds like you need a new battery. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to confirm. Apple will replace the battery for $79. A third-party place like the folloing may be less expensive. Google for more places.

Download the apps on your syncing computer and then sync to the iPod. Note that you can only sync apps for the one syncing computer you use with the iPod. You can manage music and videos among different computer.
