How do you add geotag metadata in Photos like you were able to in iPhoto

It appears in the new Photos app the ability to add location after the fact is missing. Does anyone know how to do it without going into iPhoto ?

not in Photos - that feature is still missing.
Use iPhoto, or any other app that you have. I make sure, that all photos have GPS tags before I import them to Photos.

For the time being, use iPhoto for the geotagging and import the tagged photos to Photos.
If you are comfortable with the Terminal use the free exiftool:

Many users find the excellent and highly-recommended BorderFX more than meets their needs.
A couple of things to note:
- "Photos" misleads us into an understanding of what we manipulate with our computers that differs from what our computers are programmed to manipulate. Within Aperture, you have Images (called, imho confusingly, also Versions and also Photos); outside of Aperture you have image-format files that you see listed in the Finder and use in other programs. BorderFX lets you overlay text and watermarks, and add borders, to Images in Aperture. When you do this, a new file is created and automatically imported (it becomes a new Original). You use Aperture to store, organize, and develop (make as good as possible for a particular use) digital camera files. When you need a new graphics file, you (generally) export your Image from Aperture, and create new graphics files using a graphics program (e.g.: Photoshop, Pixelmator, GIMP, etc.). Graphics programs are built from the ground up as compositors. Aperture does almost no compositing. BorderFX is a slick, purpose-driven compositing plug-in.

You can use the Settings in the slideshow to Show Captions, either the Description filed be display, the Title field or both.
If you create the slideshow in iDVD from still photos from iPhoto you can add the Description and/or Title via the settings in iDVD.
Since iDVD adds both automatically the user must go thru the slideshow and remove those items not wanted.

You can only select one track via the slideshow button in the Photos app. If you have a long slideshow then you can start music playing in the iPod app and then switch into Photos and start a (no-music) slideshow.

If you delete a picture, it sends it to iPhoto trash (left column), there you can permently delete using the empty trash with the icon in the upper right corner. It will come up with a warning if you want tp permently delete trash (photos). It the iPhoto trash you can drag them back out, once you empty the trash, they are gone.
You can also go to finder preferences>advanced, and unclick secyre empty trash, and make sure show warning before empting trash is clicked.

When I highlight a picture and duplicated it I click on the duplicate picture and drag it into my other event however it takes the original and the duplicate pictures into the new event and I lose the pictures from the original event. It appears as if the Almighty -- oops, I mean Apple, simply added an extra click. Instead of being able to change the name in the sidebar list of albums, you now have to click on the album you want to re-name then go over to the top of the album viewer and click on the name again. The album name will then highlight at that location and can be changed. Thanks!
