How do you authorize a computer?

I want to play my music on my new computer, but it won't let me saying "You can't play it because your computer is not authorized." So, I try to find where I can manage that, I even see where I can remove authorized compters, but no adding one. Can anyone help me?

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

Sign into the iTunes store with the ID you used to purchase the music in Store>Sign In, then go to Store Authorize This Computer and sign in with the ID. Click the word Store at the top of your computer screen.
Click Authorize
The new version is exactly the same as the old one in this respect

How do you authorize access to itunes while blocking the access of the rest of the computer? I want to do a party and let people have access to the music but I don't want them to look in my files. I have windows 7.
I cannot log off and let the music play. Ideally I would want to have a password for access to the rest of the computer.

I have almost the exact same problem. I have a bunch of music, ringtones, TV shows, movies... stuff that I purchased that I can't authorize. All of these items were purchased with the same account I'm still using now. The difference is that I've changed my email address. I don't have the original email address from when I made those purchases and I'm unable to authorize them. I can see that when I view info on one of these purchases the "Account Name: " has my old email address... not my iTunes or Apple account. So, if I'm authorizing my iTunes using my new email none of these older purchases will work.
I'm really curious how to fix this. I've got quite a few purchases from years back that I'd like access to, but I can't authorize using my new email/iTunes or my old email (the one used for the original purchases).
Take a look at the info and tell me if you see "Account Name:" on one of your purchases. And is that associated to your old email address? There has to be a way to fix this or 'transfer' older purchases, especially if it's all under the same real 'account'.

Tigon's already got you covered here. But I'll chime in with some English localisation advice.
There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:
