This is best done at the server side of your email (ie. at the email server of your ISP or email provider). However, if you set up spam or scam filtering at the server, check it every now and again as you may find the occasional genuine email being treated as spam/scam.

But that is going to accessible to the user, so you're better off blocking specific websites on your intranet server if you're using a Local Area Network.
If each PC has their own connection to the intranet, setting up the block is best done with the HOSTS files.

Unless you run your own mail server on the Internet, I don't believe anyone actually blocks e-mail. I believe they marked it as spam, and then it is handled as spam ... you just don't see it from then on.

I have the same problem. All of the sudden I receive tons of unsolicited ***** invitations. You can do two things:
Forward emails to: [email protected]
Put them in the Junk folder. Apple is supposed to check that and do something about it.
I downloaded a little app called SpamDrain. They give you few weeks of free service but after that they will charge you for removing your unwanted stuff.
Anyway this problem started about three weeks ago and I receive about ten unwanted ***** mails every day. It's a real pain. Hopefully between apple and the little app I will get rid of it.

There is no setting on the iPhone. That is what I told you in the first post. Your email client on the computer probably has a junk filter built in or something you can set. The only way to filter email on the iPhone is at the server.

You should be able to opt out of promotional emails from Apple. Look for an option in the next email you receive from them... perhaps toward the bottom.
If you aren't presented with an option to opt out, then you can add the senders email to a block list, or spam list.

Can you clarify what you mean?
If you're seeing multiple wifi networks as well as yours, that's normal. It will display any networks within range. It doesn't mean you're connected to them or that they're on your network.

- Settings>iCLoudl for iCloud account
- Settings>FaceRome for Apple ID and where You can Be Reached At email address
- Settings>Messages for Send And Receive email address.

Not sure what you mean. Deleting a POP account only deletes the messages stored in the account’s mailboxes, not any messages stored in custom “On My Mac” mailboxes, if that’s what you mean. It’s not that Mail goes after your mail trying to delete as much as it can. It’s just that if a mail account is deleted, then its mailboxes cannot exist anymore...
That said, instead of deleting the account right away, you can just disable it (i.e. turn OFF Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account), leave it that way for some time, and delete it only after making sure you didn’t miss anything while the account was disabled.
BTW, if you back up your data, and the ~/Library/Mail folder in particular, you won’t have to worry about accidentally losing anything as a result of doing something like that...
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.
