I just inherited my dads Mac G5 because he bought a new one for work and it still says the name is "James Whites Computer" and I want to change it to my name, how do I do that?

At least as recently as 10.4, the computer name is in:
System Preferences > Sharing
at the very top of the box.

Yes, you can. If you use the current AirPort Express, Apple says that you can connect up to 50 devices. Realistically, make that 25-30 or so before the speed really begins to drop.
Remember that you will have to reset the modem though, before you connect it to the AirPort Express as the modem "remembers" the settings for your computer.

How do you change the user ID, Group, Account name and home directory name?
When I go to do this there is a warning sigh that the user won't be able to log in. As I'm the new owner of the Mac mini I'd like to put my own name there but not share if I'm doing it right.

Recently i downloaded the trial version of aperture 3. I liked it so i went ahead and bought the boxed version from the apple store. I authorized the trial version with the my new serial number. My main library name is named "Aperture 3 Trial Library". How can I change the name to a more appropriate name being it is no longer a trial.

Just change the name in Finder.
Close Aperture. In Finder, select the "Aperture 3 Trial Library" file. Rename it. Double-click the newly named file to launch it. (This last step ensures that when you launch Aperture, it will launch your newly-renamed Library.)

I need to change the computer name but after this I cannot access to the historical data (printing alarms).

Hi,
When you change the computer name in Options>>System, you are not changing the name of the computer. Rather, you are telling Lookout to log to either a remote or local system. Here are the specifics:
1. Computer Name: Name you want the traces to appear with (\\computer_name\process\...)
2. Default Computer: Computer you want to log to. If the name listed here is different than your computer's name (as seen by Windows), then it will attempt to log directly to that remote machine.
3. Default Path: Directory on either your local or remote machine that you want to log to.
To change the name of your local computer, you will need to do that in Windows. If you have WinXP, you can do this by right-clicking on My Computer and selecting Computer Name.
