How do you change the ordering of data in the iPhone Addressbook?

I have noticed that when I manually enter contact information into the iphone addressbook I can control the order in which numbers appear. For example I like to have my phone numbers in the order, Work -> Home -> Mobile -> Fax. On the desktop addressbook client I have set it up this way, but when I sync to the iPhone the numbers seem to come into the contact in any number of orders, with no descernable pattern. Anyone know of a way to fix this other than modifying each contact by hand on the iPhone?
Moving forward apple should configure the sync to honor the order the desktop Addressbook has them configured in.

Super fast resolution per Tiffany of Apple Support (Thanks, Tiffany!) - it's a bug in the Slideshow Button featured at the bottom of Albums and Events windows. You will need to create an actual slideshow, as follows:
Select the images you want to use --> chose "Add To" --> "Slideshow"--> "New" or chose an existing slideshow.
You will be able to manipulate your slideshow options (theme, music, order, etc) from there.

How would one go about changing values that already exist in the citadel database. So say I were logging a numeric value with a timestamp for 1 year and then wanted to change a few values for the month of June because my sensor wasn't working at that time. How could I do this? Is it possible without re-creating the whole database over?

That reinforces my suspicions.
I have an app running for about 8 years now that keeps a paper trail to enusr ethe cartdiges used in respirators (operated NIOSH National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health par teh CDC) that use DSC to enusre nobody can ever falsify those records. If they can be hacked I my customer and anyone using a respirator with a NIOSH sticker on the side of it, want to know.

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.

How do you change/adjust border width for all the cells in a table created in Pages?
Note- I am trying to figure out how to create and format tables in the latest version of the Pages app on an iPad air (iOS 8.1.1.1) . Creating tables, adding or removing borders for individual/all cells in a table seems straight forward. However the default border style seems to be a heavy black line. How do I change this?
I found the option add or remove borders for all/ individual cells in a table, however I can't find any option within style/format dialogue screens for changing colour or line thickness for table cells. Likewise I can't find any clear instructions on how to do this in apple help pages or support website
Btw- I'm assuming it is possible to customize/adjust the colour & thickness of selected lines in a table created in this app (it's fairly easy to do this word processing apps like MS Word) please let me know if this is not actually possible in Pages

Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

Premiere CS3: How can you encode xml cue point data in the chapter section of a marker for FlashVid?

Hi there,
I'm a total newb to this forum, so hello adobe premiere community! I'm perplexed by Adobes documentation on Premiere (and I'm sure I'm not the first ) anyway on the live documents page below:

it states that:
“The cue point data in the Chapter field of a sequence marker in Adobe Premiere Pro will be encoded as Flash XML. For the XML protocol required, see Flash Help.”
Which is great…except this information doesn’t exist seemingly in either the Premiere documentation or Flash either for that matter, but as I’m interested in working with the chapter/marker area in Premiere – should I really be told to go off and search the documentation for another application, probably not! What would have been useful would have been a code snippet saying you do it like this, but of course, that would make things too easy!
Basically, I understand that in After FX you can add Flash marker information specifically for interpretation when exporting to Flash Video (i.e. name, type and parameters etc) and it suggests that you can do the same above in Premiere CS3 using some kind of concatenated string in the chapter area…it just doesn’t tell you how anywhere seemingly – WHY ADOBE!
Currently when I export markers as cue points based on the advice in the page above, anything I put in the chapter section to force Premiere to create a cue point is converted to a string, which becomes the cue point ‘name’.
This cue point name is then automatically appended to the ‘time’ the marker was inserted at and is always encoded as type ‘navigation’, with no obvious means of adding ‘parameters’ into the equation.
So (finally) does anyone know if you can insert this information into the chapter area for correct interpretation by flash (i.e. thus allowing you to choose between either 'navigation' or 'event' types, and pass as many 'parameters' as you wish etc) or are you just limited to supplying a name, and it being automatically set to the navigation type with no parameters?
I’m sorry for this long essay but at least the issue is well defined for you to answer, honestly any help you can provide what so ever would really be most appreciated!

Thanks for your reply, which is indeed useful as clearly Adobe have made this task easier and less obscure in CS4 by adding simple interface functionality, however I'm stuck with using CS3 for the moment. Its not majorly a problem as the video material in question can be exported uncompressed then setup with cue points using the Flash encoder as an alternative (i.e. or even After FX CS3 also) which both provide the same features as Premiere CS4 seemingly. It is just that it would be much easier to be able to drop in simple markers whilst working with Premiere CS3, as this is what we are going to be using primarily, I just wondered if anyone knew how to invoke this in CS3 - its possible you can't, the documentation is vague at best!

How can I change my Apple-ID in iCloud on iPhone-4S to my new Apple-ID? I do not know the password for the old Apple-ID that is iin iCloud

If the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Lion has changed the order in which Finder items are sorted in Icon View; Acc vs. Desc. How can you change this order?

The order in which items are sorted has changed in Lion and I can't figure out how, or if, it can be changed. Previously in Snow Leopard if you sorted by 'Date' in Icon View, your icons would be arranged from oldest to newest. The same was true for 'Kind' and all the order sort options. In Kind my *.zip files were positioned last.
Now in Lion, the order is reversed. Newest and Zips on top... the accending vs. decnding order has been changed. How can I change the sort order in Icon View?

I managed to fix the reverse order issue by deleting the com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.finder.plist.lockfile in the user library folder. I did have to use terminal to delete the files and then re-launch finder from the force quit window. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
Hold down the option key while selecting the Go menu. Select Library.
Navigate to the Preferences.
Find the com.apple.finder.plist.lockfile and delete it.
Open Terminal (Application/Utilites)
In Terminal type in sudo rm (include a space after the rm and do not hit enter)
Drag com.apple.finder.plist file to the terminal window. It will fill in the path to the file)
Press return.
Type in your password and hit return. (The cursor will not move when you type in your password)
From the Apple menu, select force quit.
Highlight finder and select re-launch.
Be careful when using Terminal. There is no undo button and you can accidentally delete important files.

Old pages was nice and simple in this regard - highlight a page and move it up or down the thumbnail viewer to change the page order.
Now it doesn't do that.

No, you're not missing anything. It's just one of the many, many features that have been eliminated or changed. Leave feedback for the Pages team using the link in the Pages menu.
If you previously had iWork '09, those apps are still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork '09. You can continue to use them to get things done.
If you want to do this in Pages 5 you'll have to select all of the content you want to move, cut & then paste into the new locations.

How do you change song start quickly without dragging the little square?

I have a song starting at bar 300 and I want to move the start to bar 1. How can you do this quickly without haveing to move the square box. The box is very slow and time consumeing with time start.

create a keyboard shortcut. Hit option k, which brings up the key commands window.
In the spotlight upper right hand corner type "go to position."
A menu will come up which displays the all the go. The one in particular has black bullet which says "go to position" Click on that one.
Now to the right of that menu you'll see several radial buttons. Press the one which says, "learn by key label".
Now assign a key of you own. I used the comma which looks like , that. If you have nothing assigned to the comma it will make that go to position the , (comma) key command, which is only accessed by a key command. (thats what those black bullets mean in front of the huge menu).
close the key commands and press the comma key. A new window will show up called the "Go to Postion". Type in the bar or the smpte and it will automatically go to that postion. Press space bar which is the global command for play.
you'll be at bar 1 or 300 instantly! create key commands of your own with those above techniques especially when things get repetitive.

If the picture from Craigslist is too large and consumes lots of data then the issue is with the size of the picture file on Craigslist and nothing you can change on your phone will affect that

How do you change your user name associated with the app store on the iphone 3G. When attempting to update, it is using an old email address that has since been changed at the apple site. The problem is that my phone does not seem to recognize this.

The only way to stop this is to delete the old apps from your phone and iTunes and repurchase them with your current ID.

I live in china but I'm from Canada and my iTunes is linked to Canada. Twice so far this year I have had my iTunes, App Store, and iBooks all convert to the Chinese sites. I am trying to put it back to Canada but for some reason it won't change. My region is still Canada so I'm not quite sure what is going on. Can anyone help?

I have a multi page calendar chart that is black text and lines in InDesign. I need to print it as green on a copier not press. Is there a way to change the black to green without having to go through each text box and line separately?

I hope you are using paragraph styles. Change the color there and it will change everywhere you have used this style. If you have set up your styles correctly you need to change one styles and alll others will chage too.
Never use a character in InDesign without a Paragraph Style.

They told him how to change it to his when he got home, and yea you guessed it. He forgot. So now everything I do on my phone happens on his as well. Very annoying. So my question is, how do I take my Apple ID out of his phone, and put his in his phone. Any help would be great. Go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. He then follows the instructions to set it up as a new phone. He should not restore a backup when asked. During the setup he can either use an existing Apple ID (not yours) or create a new Apple ID.
