  • When you change the password for your apple Id and you loose all your messages can you get them back?

So my stupid mum decided to change the password instead of waiting for me to get up -_- and now I have lost all my iMessages that were very important and I can't find them I recently tried to back all my iPod up to my laptop but I had a look and couldn't find anything to do with messages can someone help

You only way is to restore from backup if you have backed up after the Messages were on the iPod but before you "deleted" them. iTunes only retains the last backup.

  • How do I get a password off my iPod if I have forgotten it?

I put a password onto my iPod today thinking it was correct but when i went to get back in, it said my password was wrong. Which basically means I forgot it. Also, the button to shut my iPod on and off is broken so I've been using the assitive touch. How do i fix it, and will the button's unability to work not let me fix it? My iPod means so much to me and I've had it for two years. I'd be devistated if I couldnt get it to work again.

Place the iPod in recovery mode using this program:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    For MAC or PC

    The iPod will be erased.

    To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • How do you change the password on your email account

I lost my connection yesterday and eventually was able to join my network, but as a result, something happened with my Hotmail, and am unable to retreive my mail. I cannot remember my password, and cannot find the location to reset it.....help!!

That is a Hotmail issue. You would probably have to reset it at the Hotmail website.
You would then have to enter the new password on the iPhone at:
Settings>>Mail, etc>>Under Accounts click Hotmail; change your password.

You'd need an app that can edit EXIF data. You can't do that natively on an iPhone but there may be apps in the App Store that will let you do it. Take a look at Snapseed. I think it might.

How can I change the password on my stolen iphon5 which shares data with my ipad2

If you had Find My iPhone activated on your iPhone, you can remotely wipe it, which you can do through iCloud on your computer.  If you did not have Find My iPhone active on your phone you're out of luck.
You should immediately change all passwords for your Apple ID, email, any apps where you had a password, or any where you have credit cards tied to shopping.

You should restore the the iPod to totally erase the iPod and add your own media to the iPod.
Connect the iPod to your computer and restore to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes.

  • How can I change the password to start my i-Mac G3

We received an i-Mac from my daughter and my wife chose a password which she has since forgotten. We'd like to use it (after letting it vegetate for over one year) but wonder if it's possible to assign a new password?

    Mac OS X:
Changing or resetting an account password via GUI:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106156
Changing password from single user mode:
You can also change the administrator's password from single user mode or create a new administrator account.
You need to get into single use mode for steps one and two that are listed below.
This page will tell you how to get into single user mode.
    http://www.securemac.com/macosxsingleuser.php
Basically, you hold down the command-s key when powering on. The command key has a little apple symbol on the lower left. It is between the alt/option key and the space bar. On a PC keyboard, it will be the windows key, I think.
    1) You can change the password on an account. ( Do you know Unix. You are in a Unix single user console. )
Follow the instructions on screen for accessing the startup disk in read/write mode which are:
    /sbin/fsck -y
    /sbin/mount -uaw
To find out the users on the system type:
    ls /Users
One of these accounts will be the administrator.
Pick one of the users and type:
    passwd a-user-name
and enter the new user password. You need six characters.
The root account isn't enabled by default. I am not sure if changing the password on root will enable it.
    2) Get the Mac to set up an additional administrative account. You can then change the password on your old account.

OK, restart your computer, hold down Command-s and type in the following:
    /sbin/fsck -y [Enter]
    /sbin/mount -uaw [Enter]
    rm /var/db/.applesetupdone [Enter]
    # The rm command is the remove command which deletes the file.
    # Robert: I'd rename the file via: mv /var/db/.applesetupdone /var/db/.applesetupdone.old
    reboot [Enter]
Once you've done that the computer reboots and it's like the first time you used the machine. Your old accounts are all safe. From there you just change all other account passwords in the account preferences!!
