How do you clean the keyboard

I was wondering if there was some way to clean the keyboard cos mine is full of dust. I didn't really know what category to put this in, so sorry if its in the wrong place. Thanks

Jia Wers-
Compressed air works.
If it is really dirty it can be cleaned in a dishwasher, top rack, no soap or rinse aid and no dishes. Just hot water.
Run it through a cycle, take it out and let it dry for a few days and that should do it.
And for all of you nay-sayers, please see this.

Sometimes, you might be in a message and accidentally minimize the predictive feature.  If that happens, just swipe UP on the dashed icon right above the keyboard and it will bring it back up.

How do you clean the leather iPad cover?

I've used my leather iPad cover (black) on three different iPads now - the iPad 2, the iPad 3 and the iPad 4 - over a period of more than two years.  I've never found the need to clean the cover.  If I were to do that, I would probably use a clean microfiber cloth much like the one I would use to clean the iPad's screen.

Drink the Irish, and as for the cleaning Vodka, buy the absolute cheapest one in the store, the one you wouldn't want to drink.
They all meet FDA standards for human consumption unlike alcohol in the drug store.

  • How do you stop the keyboard from covering what you are typing

How do you stop the keyboard from covering up what you are typing- one of the worst features of the new iOS

What kind of problems are you having with the iPad?
If the keyboard is split and covering your text, Pull the two ends of the keyboard together - into the middle of the screen. You can also tap and hold down on the little keyboard icon in the lower right corner of the keyboard and select - Dock and Merge.
If the keyboard is up on the middle of the screen, but not split, and you want to move it back to the bottom - tap and hold down on the little keyboard and icon and select - Dock
You can turn the split keyboard off in Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard>Off.
if none of those are the issue, reset your iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

    Hi
Silas is right. The keyboard is secured with 2 screws which must be removed.
These screws are hidden under the thin cover near to the keyboard.
Please be careful! The keyboard is connected to the motherboard with the flat cable!
I dont know your notebook experience but if you dont know how to do it I would recommend contacting the technician for a help!

  • How do you clean the battery tube for the Apple aluminum wireless keyboard

We have an Apple aluminum Wireless keyboard. My daughter said the weak battery signal came on and then while later the keyboard stopped working. I had a difficult time loosening the endcap whre the batteries are stored. When I finally got it open, it was appearant that one of the batteries had leaked. Now the keyboard does not work when I insert new batteries. The corrosion is in the area of the last battery (closest to the opening)and on the cap. What is the best way to clean this up?

I just had this same problem. I had much difficulty getting the third battery out of the keyboard battery tube due to corrosion. Despite a rubber mallet and some careful tapping of the keyboard on a hard surface, I resorted to a few drops of vinegar.....after a minute or so I was able to pop the last battery out.
There was light corrosion along the inside of the tube which made putting new batteries in difficult, and besides if I were to force the new batteries in - I would be facing the same problem next time. So, I ended up using a shotgun cleaning kit to clean the tube. I attached a 20 GA bore brush to the cleaning rod and ran it through the battery tube a few times. Blew the tube out with compressed air, and inserted the new batteries. The wire bore brush worked like a charm as I am typing this reply on the keyboard. Just thought I'd mention the idea.

  • How can you use the Keyboard for a JComboBox within a JTable without F2

I am brand new to Java and I can't seem to figure this out. I have a JTable with 4 columns. The first column is a jCheckBox which is working fine. The other three are JComboBoxes. They work fine when you click them and select from the list, but our end users only want to navigate with the keyboard. They want to be able to tab to the column and just start typing the first letter of the item that they want to choose from the list and have that pop up the list and scroll to the first item in the list that starts with the letter the typed. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been playing with this for a week now and I can't seem to make it work. Please help. Below is the code for my table. Any help would be appreciated greatly. • How do you get the keyboard to appear if it doesn't do so automatically?

When I am using the iPad, the keyboard automatically appears when I put my finger on a text box. However, after the latest iOS upgrade, this stops working occasionally, and I don't know how to get the keyboard back. Then, when I attempt to put text in, all I get is an option to '"paste." Any clues as to what's going on?

    - Connect the iPod to the computer and try to restore the iPod via iTunes
    - If iTunes did not see the iPod see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will all a restore. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Then,  lett the battery fully drain. Charge for a couple of hours and try again.
    - Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.  You likely have a hardware probme.  Maybe a dead battery.
