Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
iPad,iPod,iPod Touch Recovery Mode
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

How do you sync your itunes to iphone simply?
At one time it was really easy to sync up your itunes to iphone. You had a list of music with a tick box next to it and if you didnt want a song you simply unticked it and then pressed "sync". The same was true of the apps. There was a special tab for apps where you could remove or reinstall the apps on your phone.
After whatever update they did, i managed to stop my iphone just filling up all the memory on my phone with songs i hadnt chosen. I mean, who thought that was a good idea? what if i heard a song I wanted to purchase or saw an app i wanted? No space to get it, not the smartest idea for an update.
But I digress, back to the syncing issue. There is still the music list with its little tick boxes but there is also this weird tab that has lots of different boxes that have things like the artist names, the album names etc and they all have individual tick boxes next to each artist/album.
Now the problem is that 1) there is no select/deselect all which is a MAJOR pain 2) I am totally unsure what I am meant to tick and what I am not.
What I did was untick all the songs on the music list I didnt want but what itunes has done is loaded up my phone with all the songs i didnt want plus a few randoms that i did. Is it that ticking the boxes means you dont include them now? And whats that album/artist/playlist tab about? Does checking/unchecking boxes there overrule the ticks you made on the main music page? It's getting pretty infuriating.
Also, I can see all the apps on my phone. Why does it not show on itunes? At one time you could see all your stuff. Now, it says I have 4 apps. I dont and if itunes just looked at my phone it could see i have more than 4.
So in summary:
1) How do I sync my itunes to iphone simply?
2) Does the album/artist/playlist page overrule the main music tab? (if so, why would anyone do this?!?!?)

Hello, sorry if this has been posted before but I cant find any info about it, my daughter just got an ipod yesterday and i would like to know if I can connect it to my powerbook and sync it with Itunes without it charging the IPOD? The reason for this is I want her battery to last as long as possible and do not want the battery to charge until it is almost dead...........
It cannot work this way with the computers hardware. The USB port receives 5v of power. It does have a suspend option/or turn power off option but then your IPOD would not be seen by the computer.
The IPODs battery likes to be used and charged regularly. Worrying about pulling the battery down to almost dead while okay once every 30 charge/discharge cycles is good for recalibrating the IPODs power meter, is not good for the battery on a regular basis. Here's some tips from Apple to read:

How many tries do you have until iPad is completely disabled with forgotten passcode?
I havent used my iPad in a few months & I forgot the passcode. My little sister also played around with it with out my knowledge disabling it. My last waiting time for it to enable the keypad for the passcode was 60 minutes. If i try again will it disable or can I still attempt to type the passcodes in?
I have a list of passcodes I use that's why this is so frustrating I cannot try them anymore.10 times. Then it's disabled. With no more attempts. Once that happens you have to perform a recovery mode restore, to bypass the passcode

I've seen directions for the ipad which tell you how to setup home sharing then open ipod and touch library in the left column, but when I hit library, nothing happens.
