How do you contact the moderators?

Just a simple question, but how do you contact the moderators?  It says that you should use the contact form on the moderators profile, but there is no contact form link available.  All there is available is a private message link on their profiles, shouldone use this form?  Amny thanks

    Does anybody know who I need to talk to regarding App World (for the playbook). It really gripes me when you write a constructive review for an app, but the vender then removes it - surely, this should not be allowed (as it can lead to customers being mislead). I wrote the following review for the UK on-device GPS Map app, and guess what, it was removed!
    Not as impressed as i thought it would be for the following reasons:1. Incomplete maps - I've lived in my house for over ten years, yet my housing estate doesn't show up on the map (I wonder if this is the case elsewhere???)!
    2. Map scale - When I'm out and about, and zoom into the map, it doesn't always rescale itself; rendering the map useless.
    3. GPS Location - Once the App finds your location, and you then move, it doesn't then replot your movement on the map; to re-establish your position, you have keep repressing the button - very poor!
    4. Finally, the App just keeps crashing! Your using it, then it just switches off.
    Considering all the above, and the price of this App (£9.99!), I am really disapointed. Please fix the issues identified or refund asap.

    Possibly the best bet is simply discussing it here.  RIM tends to like such feedback to be filtered through the forum, I presume because allowing much direct contact would overwhelm them (these days, with negative feedback!).  It's also reasonable in that it gives other people here (users like you, and developers) a chance to comment, expand the discussion, correct misconceptions, and so on.  As I understand it, RIM tries to monitor these forums, and in the cases where they may not notice a particular concern, some of the long-time participants have back-channels to escalate serious concerns to their attention.  I'm pretty sure they watch the "big picture", and if enough people complain about something, I'm pretty sure they take notice and engage in internal discussions to decide what to do about it.  (My main problem with this whole process is that they almost never provide any external feedback to us, even to let us know they recognize certain problems.  For example, the PlayBook rapid charger quality problems... it's incontrovertibly a defect, but there's been no sign of any recognition of that on their part.)
    That said, I sympathize with you.  I'm disgusted by that map vendor's products and behaviour, as I think they give the rest of us devs a bad name, not to mention "hogging" too much of the space in the Newest and Recently Updated lists, among other things.
    I'll note one thing, however, though I don't like the idea I might actually be seen as defending them.  On the map quality topic, those maps are actually using the OpenStreetMap data, aren't they?  (Visit http://openstreetmap.org)  If so, the quality of the data isn't something that vendor has control over... OSM is basically just like Wikipedia, in that the content is almost entirely generated by volunteers, people like you and I, who have chosen to contribute.  (I've edited OSM for my own town, adding many missing roads, fixing spelling errors, etc.) 
    If that's true, then I think the vendor ought to have made that very clear to their customers.  I'm not too surprised they did not, however, since I believe they knew they couldn't charge people $10 for a poor quality app that was merely giving you access to map data that cost the vendor nothing to provide.
    Have you tried contacting the vendor and demanding a refund?  It is possible for developers to request that RIM arrange a refund, as I understand it.

    I'm not going to be of much use regarding answers but I sure am going to watching this post like a hawk for any replies. My package is a slightly diluted version of this and I do find the BBtalk and data limits hard to make the most of as well.
    If nothing else this totally highlights how complicated BT have managed to make their packages.
    A cynic would assume that they are trying to catch us out at every step and for us to either be overspending or not really getting the moneys worth.

    Events are organised strictly on date and time, as read by iPhoto from the Exif data in the Photo. You cannot manually sort.
    Create Albums. You can do much more organising with Albums, use Photos from different events, place them as you will. Best of all, Albums use no disk space at all. They simply reference the file on the Hard Disk. So a pic can be 1, 10 or 100 Albums with no wasted disk space whatever.

    only way is to restore the phone as new.  OR wait until IOS 7 comes out in the fall.

    First thing is I want to complain about this person here:  I had some questions on a product and called up and got Charly 1-20295539207.  He was horribly incompetent. He took 30 minutes just to, "get my information" which only consisted of just email and name.  How can it take 30 minutes for that?????  But trust me, Charlie absolutely makes it easy to waste that much time and still not get an answer to your question.  So after he spent 30 minutes gathering my, "info" (i.e. name and email) he told me he could not help me and to call back even though I told him 3 times up-front what I was calling about. All of the Sony reps are the absolute worst and they all have the same idiosyncracies, making you repeat your issue over and over and over and over being one of them. Then, after you tell them what the issue is - 4-5 times, they say, "How can I help you"?????????  WHAT???? I JUST TOLD YOU 4-5 TIMES AND THEN THEY ASK SOME OBNOXIOUS AGGRAVATING QUESTION LIKE THAT?   You have to be kidding me?  I am not making any of this up. It's absolutely abusurd and criminal how the sony reps are.   So I asked him, IF YOU COULDN'T HELP ME WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT AT THE START AND WHY DID YOU WASTE 30 MINUTES OF MY TIME FOR NOTHING GATHERING, "ALL" OF MY INFO?????  HE SAT THERE IN SILENCE AND SAID NOTHING.  that is the other thing these aweful reps do. Thay all do it.  They sit in silence and say nothing. THEN you have to ask them over and over and over again the same question and they never will give you an answer but will then say, "HOW MAY I HELP YOU"!!!!!!  It's insane what they put customers through. It's like talking to low iq people.   It';s clear that sony only hires people who are inferiour as regards tech knowledge, customer service knowledge, and who don't know how to talk on the telephone.  So I was 45 minutes total and after 30 minutes he told me he could not help me even though I told him in the first minute why I was calling (despite the fact I had to repeat myself over and over wasting lots of my valuable time). so why did he keep me on the phone allthat time if he could not help me? Why didn't he tell me at the start? How do I complain about him? IS there some type of corporate escalation department? IN addiiton I never got my problem solved. I need help w the media go that has screwed up all of my pictures.

    Signing out will not delete them from iCloud. Do it and read the message. It will give you the option to store address book contacts locally or just in iCloud. It will tell you that they will be available in iCloud when you sign back in.
    In Addition, signing your mac out of iCloud does not sign your other devices out of iCloud. Any info in iCloud will still be available to other devices.
    You can also access iCloud from the website https://www.icloud.com , which you can access from any computer at any time.

    iCloud is probably being used to store your Contacts so perhaps you really just want to turn off iCloud backups. Use the Settings app.
    Settings > iCloud > Turn off Backup
    After you turn off iCloud backup be sure to initiate some other backup strategy. Backing up to iTunes is a good alternative.

    It does make sense.  The iPhone is a one-person device and just syncs to one computer.
    The way it should work is as follows:
    Old computer content ---> New computer
    New computer <---> syncs to iPhone
    But the way you are trying to operate sounds like:
    Old computer content ---> iPhone
    ... and ...
    New computer content <---> iPhone
    So simply move your old stuff (either directly from iTunes, or from a computer backup) to the new computer, have it all there, then sync your iPhone to the new machine.
