How do you copy a page from preview to duplicate it?

Hello,
I want to copy a page from preview so that I have 2 pages that are the same. Before I upgraded to Maverik, I used to be able to right click on the page (in the sidebar) I wanted, click "copy" then right click in the sidebar and click "paste".
Now when I right click on the page in the sidebar I don't get the option to copy and paste.
I found that if I opened a new copy of the same document, I could import it into my working draft then delete all of the pages I didn't want, but that is way too much work. If someone could help I would be very grateful.

Not exactly what you want, but Preview/Edit/Insert/then select the file. Preview/Edit/Delete pages you don't want. That is the only way I could figure out how to do it from within Preview.

The new pages does not allow you to do this.

That and 95 other things it does not let you do.
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder, use that instead.

If you open both documents, you can drag a page from the Pages panel (on the left of the window) of one document and drop it into the Pages panel of another.
You can also extract one or more pages from a document to create a new document, and then insert the pages from this new document into another. In Acrobat 11 you 'd do this by doing:
Tools > Pages > Extract
and then:
Tools > Pages > Insert from File

If your IpadMini hasn't got a USB port then the only way I can think of is to email the photo to yourself and then retrieve it by logging to your email account using IpadMini.
This method is fine if you have few photos only. To transfer 1000s of photos require completely different device that can handle volume on an industrial scale.

This is difficult to understand. How are you copying templates from another site?
If you have all the files that make up the template, then it's only a matter of saving all the files to a folder on your hard drive and setting up a site definition pointing to this folder. You then work on the files as usual.

Without seeing the page it's difficult to judge what your problem is. If possible, please upload the files to a remote server and provide a link to the page. It's the only way people can help - if they see your page in action.

If im understanding you correctly, you want the folder to have an automatic landing page. Ex. If your folder is
"profile" you want the visitor to see the first profile page when they visit www.yoursite.com/profile. Correct?
If thats what you need, name the page you want your visitor to see when they go to ex. www.yoursite.com/profile "index.html" or "index.php" ad save that file in your "profile" folder. When you're visitor will go to www.yoursite.com/profile the page you named "index" will open.
Let me know if you dont understand or if its not what your trying to do.

You could copy and paste pages from one document to another in Pages '09, but Apple removed this from Pages 5.
Best you can do is copy the content.

Using the Wiki function in OSX server, I am able to move a page from one wiki to another by clicking the gear icon. Is there a way to copy the page to another wiki while leaving it intact in its existing wiki? When the crosshair pointer appears drag it across the area you want to copy and then click it.

How do I copy a page from one Pages document to another using Pages 5.0?

I posted this question on another page, and haven't recieved an answer to it yet. However I have found a temporary solution, so I am posting this here in case anyone else has a similar problem.
The issue here is that I have just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Maverick (10.9.1), and my Pages also upgraded (to 5.0.1), altering my Pages documents. This is the issue, as as far as I can see the new Pages does not offer some of the basic needs that the old Pages did! In other words it is worse than the previous version.
Using the upgraded new Pages 5.0.1 seems to result in some major editing problems for me. If you upgrade, make sure you KEEP the old version of Pages 09 (v 4.3). That is what has saved me! If you have the same problems I have had - explained below, you will still be able to close the new version and open your Pages document in the old version, provided it is not a new Pages document. If it is, it will be possible to export it as a Pages 09 document and edit properly.
After upgrading to the new Pages 5.0.1, when I open documents in Pages and try and copy a section from one document to another (easy before using the thumbnails) many of the Menu items previously available are visible but appear faded and are not possible, including Insert>Section Break/Page Break/Page Number and Edit>Cut/Copy/Delete/Undo/Redo
This even happens if I duplicate the Pages document and try and do any of these from the Duplicate (which should be an easily editable copy).
My solution has been to simply open all Pages documents that Iwant to edit (or may want to edit in future) in the old Pages app (v 4.3), which I never got rid of. That has meant I can continue editing and copying a section (of 1 or more pages) from one Pages document to another.
If anyone reading this has figured out a way to edit Pages documents using the new version 5.0.1 please post an explanation, and I will try it!

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5, after Exporting your files to Pages '09, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

You could try copy/paste.
But you would probably have more luck switching to an app really designed for working with pdf files rather than ebooks, like GoodReader.

How can you copy a table from Safari to Numbers

I am in the process of migrating from open office to Numbers, since Numbers really does look a lot nicer… however there is one point that I cannot find how to do in Numbers.
If I select a table in Safari, then in Open Office I can paste that table, and it will go into the rows/columns as a table. How can I do something similar in Numbers?

Safari & Numbers have improved in recognizing a table on a web page & pasting it as expected.
Often what looks like a table on a web page really isn't & the blame should be on the web page author not Safari or Numbers. I had this problem for a few years with my online Discover Card statements. Using Firefox or Camino made no difference. When I complained to them their response was "tough, live with it" although maybe not in those exact words. I would paste the data into a Pages document & use a lot of find & replace to get the data formatted to use in a Numbers spreadsheet.
But… it could be that the problem you're having is that you have the cursor active in the cell when you paste. If the cursor is active Numbers "thinks" you want to paste everything into that cell. Click outside the table then click once on the starting cell, making sure that the cell is outlined but you don't see the cursor & then paste. This is a much more common cause than above.
