How do you copy a video from a disk to a Mac or to an iPad?

I have a DVD disk with video content that I have rights to copy and use, but I don't know how to copy it onto my computer or my iPad. Can anyone help me?

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

If your IpadMini hasn't got a USB port then the only way I can think of is to email the photo to yourself and then retrieve it by logging to your email account using IpadMini.
This method is fine if you have few photos only. To transfer 1000s of photos require completely different device that can handle volume on an industrial scale.

To remove an application from the Dock, simply drag it off of the Dock, or right-click the app in the Dock and choose Options > Remove from Dock. Note that opened apps will always show in the Dock

This is difficult to understand. How are you copying templates from another site?
If you have all the files that make up the template, then it's only a matter of saving all the files to a folder on your hard drive and setting up a site definition pointing to this folder. You then work on the files as usual.

Without seeing the page it's difficult to judge what your problem is. If possible, please upload the files to a remote server and provide a link to the page. It's the only way people can help - if they see your page in action.

How Do You Switch Music/iPod From A PC to A Mac?

I started off using a PC with my iPod. Now I have an iMac with Mac OS X Version 10.4.8. I have the newest iTunes downloaded on it, but when I plug my iPod (5th Generation Video) in, it claims my iPod could not be used because I need to download the newest version of iTunes. Do I need to completely restore my iPod in order to use it on my new computer? That seems like a huge hassle, and I'm really hoping there's another way.

I moved my iTunes library from a PC to iBook G4 with OS X 10.4.8
There is a lot of info on this from a variety of sources including the Apple website. I found the easiest way was to copy my files from the PC to the Mac using the iPod as a hard drive. To do it this way, you have to have enough space on the iPod, so check how much space the music takes up on the iPod -- you'll need about double that amount to make this method work.
To summarize what I did: enable your iPod as a hard drive (this is a menu choice in iTunes when your iPod is connected to the PC). While in iTunes (on the PC), select Advanced and then Consolidate Libray; this will put all of your iTunes music into one folder.
Assuming you have enough space on the iPod, you can then copy all of the contents of your iTunes music folder onto the iPod using Windows Explorer. Then, connect the iPod to your Mac and copy all the files into the iTunes folder on the Mac.
If you have an older version of iTunes on the Mac then the version on the PC, you might need to update the Mac. The most recent version of iTunes is 7.0.2 (15). This update shouldn't cause any problems.
Hope this helps but if not, do a search on the Apple Forums or using Google. You'll see lots of ideas and ways, and might find one that works better for you than what I've described.
By the way, once you're done and everything is working properly, be sure to deauthorize your old PC in iTunes from the 'Store' menu.

Problem is that NO videos are shown as I open my ipad up in "My Computer", only photographs I have taken

I want to copy a page from preview so that I have 2 pages that are the same. Before I upgraded to Maverik, I used to be able to right click on the page (in the sidebar) I wanted, click "copy" then right click in the sidebar and click "paste".
Now when I right click on the page in the sidebar I don't get the option to copy and paste.
I found that if I opened a new copy of the same document, I could import it into my working draft then delete all of the pages I didn't want, but that is way too much work. If someone could help I would be very grateful.

Not exactly what you want, but Preview/Edit/Insert/then select the file. Preview/Edit/Delete pages you don't want. That is the only way I could figure out how to do it from within Preview.

Some one cleverly (not) decided that imported videos now must go in "Home Videos" but Keynote cannot import from there? How do you import a "Home Video" into Keynote?

This means that your file extension is set to playback on Windows Media Player thats all.
Change your folder settings in Windows Explorer, go to Folder Options, View tab, and uncheck hide extensions for known media types.
Then look at your filename and it should read "video name.mp4" or .m4v or .mov, these are the only file types that will play back on the 5G ipod.

How would you reference respective video from diff class?

Hi. I wanted to get a couple of points of view (if you're willing to look ) on how others would do this because Im not sure where to even start.
I have a buttons class that puts 9 pictures on the stage and each one represents a different movie and leads to that movie when clicked (or will lead there once I figure out how to reference it to the specific movie).
I have 9 movies referenced through XML. And I am using flvPlayer. Currenly I can only have one movie loading. I am not sure how to get each one to play upon click of the respective btn.
Here is some of the code I think is pertinent if figuring how to go about this:

The reason I included a bunch of code is to show that there is a play/pause button that is supposed to play the movie. But the thing is I only have the one movie referenced and I am not sure how to have it variable as to which movie is played and make it depend on the button that is clicked from the button class above.

Ok, how about this:
After reviewing my code again, this is what I find.
I process the xml and then never use it when playing the video. To play the video I had just put the path straight to the video and not even used the xml. In the xml.
So I guess my question is how to I refer to the xml to load the video and then when dealing with the buttons lead to the right video from the xml.
