I have a client in France that asked me to design a website in English and French. I would like to design the site is MUSE.
The site will have its domain name registered in Switzerland.
Is this possible to do in MUSE?
If so where would i find out the steps involved to set it up?

Are the two versions of the site laid out side by side with a single link from each back to the Welcome page?

The eastpenncanada.com site is hosted with BC, but you need to upload through a FTP site not through File/Publish to Business Catalyst.
What I do is export the two Muse files (File/Export to HTML) onto my computer first, copy the French site into the folder I created then upload through FTP to BC.

That being said, there is currently not a search bar widget that can be added to a site directly from within Muse. However, you can add custom HTML code to your page, with a method such as this: http://www.ehow.com/how_6772398_embed-google-search-bar.html. Just add the custom HTML to your Muse page by going to Object > Insert HTML.

See the bgcolor= ? That's the background color. In the iWeb color inspector window chose the web safe color palette, and you will see the number codes that correspond to the colors. just type in the numbers you want and that will change the background color.

At the moment, probably the easiest way to do this is using Edge Animate, or another tool, to animate the text in a loop, and then place that within Muse. There are a lot of tutorials online that can help you do that, like this one on Lynda.com. You can also find help over on the Edge Animate forums section if you find you need more assistance.

Move the domain.sites file from one computer to the other.
The file is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Move this file to the same location on the other computer and double click and iWeb will open it. Remember, it is your User Library that you want and not your System Library, as you will not find iWeb there.
Just create a new site on the same domain file and it will appear below the other site. If you want them side by side then duplicate your domain file and have one site per a domain file and they can then be side by side.

I don't think you can. With the wysiwyg editing of iWeb, you can create a whole new website, make a new subdomain site or even upload a few extra created pages.
Thing is iWeb will only upload or save what you are making in it, therefore you can upload a whole new website to a domain, or upload them manually with ftp-clients. That also means you can't import an exsisting, for example html, script and edit it.
So in short: for as far as I know, you can't import whole pages into iWeb and edit those, you can only create and upload them.
Or as in: editing one I've already made, and uploaded on the same Mac?
Then simple make the changes you want, and hit the "Publish" button in the far down-left corner of the window. It will then overwrite the site you currently have.

If you are a right-brained creative, and have no previous experience or propensity to be able to understand coding and database "stuff", and/or if your time can be better spent on other skills, I recommend you save your sanity and hire a developer... or at least the first time around. I have been attempting to grasp this for years... and have a library of marked up books to prove my efforts, all while trying to keep up with an ongoing client base that is always cramped. It's a wonder I still have my sanity... then again, I might not be the best person to determine that. Others might question it.
That said, I still plan to master php... one of these days.

Of course, my friend! There's a way to do it. If you download the Java IDE from this website, SunOne Community Edition version 4, you can accomplish that ( at least that's the way I've done them). This Java IDE creates a folder that is executable in Windows, it's called a JAR file (Java ARchive executable file), or run it on any operating system that is Java Enabled.
With SunOne, you can do it this way:
1) Click on File
2)Select New
3) Then select JAR Archive
4) In the wizard, follow the steps which tell you the java files that are needed to run the application (because sometimes a programs comprises more than one class)
5) Create a Manifest
If this doesn't work for you, find information about JAR Archive files on the Internet because this is the way to make executable programs in Java. Good Luck!!

I took the Dreamweaver class 3-4 years ago, and now have to design a website. I cannot figure out how to create a css rule. The instructions Adobe gives do not make sense. Under format>>CSS Styles, there is no "new" option like the instructions say there should be.
I cannot figure out how to do it using the CSS properties pane either.
Every method they give does not jive with the options in the program.
I did create a style sheet for my site.

The tutorials are version-centric now owing to the many "improvements" DW has seen to its interface in the past 12-24 months. So if you're reading a tutorial for an earlier version than what you have, you'll be confused. And vice versa if you use a modern tutorial with an older version.
I prefer to work directly with the code. It's infinitely faster than the cumbersome panels. Also the code hinting features in DW are very helpful.

If you go to Settings > Notes > Default Account you will see "On My iPhone" as the default account and the only choice if you have not enabled syncing Notes in Settings >iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If you have enabled syncing you can still select "On My iPhone" as the default account. When you are in the Notes app you won't see any accounts listed if you have not enabled syncing because they are all in the On My iPhone account and that is the only place possible. It is not a folder that you create.

My daughter and I both have Ipods, and want to setup SEPARATE accounts. Itunes 7 worked great, but now when we 'upgraded' to 8, it MERGED all our files. First, let's make it easier to swap between accounts. In the Accounts pane of System Preferences click on the Login Options (after unlocking the pane). Enable fast user switching. This will put a new menu in the top right of the screen. You can then swap to the other account without having to log out of the current one.
Log into the original account. Select the folder you want access from the other account and choose Get Info from the file menu. There is a section called Sharing & Permissions. You will need to click on the padlock to make changes. Click on the + to add permissions for the other user account by selecting the user account from list that appears. Set the permission for that account to read only. Once you have it listed then choose the "Apply to enclosed items" from the gear menu below the list. This should give you access from the other account to that folder and any folders contained in it.
For iTunes you will want to do this to the Music folder, giving you access to the files below. From within iTunes you can select Add to Library from the file menu, and then select the music from the other account to that account's iTunes library. Once you have set up the new library whoever's library is the original can clean up the library to remove any music they don't want (now that it's in the new account).
