How do you create a DVD from FCPX 10.0.7

To start off..I'm no expert. Just frustrated. I have my finished Project in FCPX 10.0.7 and want to burn it to DVD. Not looking for any fancy intro's, titles, chapters or anything. I just want to throw it onto a DVD which will begin playing once I pop the DVD into a player.
From my Project I chose "Share to DVD" and Transcoding started. Then at 66% completed it just stopped... and says,
"Finishing: Create DVD: Waiting for Create Disc to finish." That was last night. This morning, it still says that.
Not sure what to do. HELP!

Hmmm... not really sure what is causing your problems...?
Just a few things you might try...
Trash your Preference File: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
Try with another project... same problem...?
Check: File / Relink Project Files... anything missing there...?
Are you using Optimized Media...?
Did you finished rendering the timeline...?
Are you using ProRes 422...?
Try and export as Master File... does that work...?

  • How do I create a DVD from an iMovie '08 Project?

How do I create a DVD from an iMovie '08 Project? I followed the directions in the help section but when I open iDVD, my project is "grayed out" and I cannot open it in iDVD.

In general, in imovie Share to Media Browser or Share to iTunes.
Then open iDVD. Open the Media Browser in iDVD (at bottom right of window). Navigate to your movies and you should see the movie you made. Drag it in to the iDVD project.

I'm not sure what you mean by Developer Profile, but you can create a provisioning profile in Xcode 4 from the Organizer. Click the Organizer button in the project window toolbar. Click the Devices button at the top of the Organizer. Select Provisioning Profiles from the left side of the Organizer.
If you need to create something other than a provisioning profile, you may need to go to Apple's iOS developer center, sign in, and create what you need from there.

  • How do I create a DVD from iMovie with menus? What iDVD use to do!

iDVD has disappeared on my new MacBook Pro, so how do I create a DVD with menus and everything?

    Hi
You can not do that - without any DVD authoring software as iDVD.
    So either
    • Treat to return Your new Mac (within 14 days) if Apple doesn't give You iDVD
    • Buy a second handed iLife'09 (pref as You then get all Themes - not so in iLife'11 - AND - after program-up-date they will be the same version anyway)
    • Buy another DVD-authoring software as Roxio Toast™ (costs a bit - contanin lot's of other things too - that was of great value to me (not so to everyone)
    • Use the free (and very simple/basic) BURN™ - as You at least can get Your Movie onto a Playable DVD
If there is no iDVD on Your Mac (and it's not on newer Macs as Apple discarded it) then You need a program that can do this.
Your Mac can burn CDs and DVDs - BUT DVD as Data-DVDs not as Video-DVDs - they need a program to be encoded and STRUCTURED as such.
    • iDVD is part of the boxed version of iLife'11 and can only be bought outside Apple as on Amazon and e-bay
    • DVD Studio pro - Part of FinalCut Studio Pro bundle - this to has expired and can only be bought second handed. (High price and tough learning Curve - but best ever done.)
    • Roxio Toast™ - Not as elegant as iDVD - but has many other positive additions (I like it as 10-Pro incl BD-component) (now version 11)
    • Burn - only free alternative I know of on internet. Very simple - Just for doing a plain Video-DVD
    Burn http://www.digital-digest.com/software/Burn.html
only You can buy from Apple is
    • FinalCut Pro-X which also can burn to DVD but without any nice themes.
    AppleMan1958
You can also buy Compressor from Apple for $50 US. It will also create DVD and BluRay but without the nice themes.

  • How do you burn a dvd from imovie if computer does not have idvd anymore?

How can I burn a dvd from imovie if this computer does not have idvd? is there anything in mountain lion that will allow this simple task to be completed.'
When i try to finish a project in iphoto it wont even do that...can anyone help?

    Buy iDVD.
Yes, there are other programs that will put a movie on a DVD.   I have tried most of the other substitutes including Toast, Burn, DVD Creator, Wondershare, and others.  None of them come anywhere near the ease-of-use and power of iDVD. IDVD is specifically designed to work with iMovie.
    http://www.apple.com/findouthow/movies/idvd.html
With iDVD you can easily and quickly create DVDs with menus and graphics almost on the level of what Hollywood can do.
IDVD is easy to get. It is available on disk as part of iLife 11.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.  (works with all Mac OS 10.5 and newer.)

  • How do you remove the dvd from the usb superdrive?

How do yu remove a dvd from the usb superdrive that is connected to my Mac Pro?

Thank you so much for this info. I've been trying for hours to eject a CD from my USB superdrive and all it would do would tell me this "cannot be supported". I tried everything listed on the Apple support site and was about to make a trip to the service center. I downloaded the Terminal app and typed in what you said and it immedialty ejected my CD. Thanks again.

  • How do I create a DVD from iMovie when iDVD is no longer included in iLife (Lion).

I've been doing video editing for many years on PC using the Pinacle software. I have for years wanted to switch to a Mac that is known to be far better for this purpose than PC. A few days ago I bought an IMAC 27 inch, 3.1 MHz and was impressed with the Imovie program until I was going to burn the project onto a DVD as I had read about and explained in all Apple stores I've visited.
I realize to my great surprise that in the Lion version is no longer possible to burn a DVD using IDVD as mentioned in the help menu and in the Appel documentation online. I have tried with various other applications as well with no success. It is completely incomprehensible that Appel actually has removed this option from Ilife (IDVD) and I feel cheated.
I have now spoken with three different people from the support and none of them can give me a good explanation of how to burn an Imovie project onto DVD with this new operating system (which actually is a basic need). All documentation I find on internet and in the help section refers to iDVD, which is not included in Lion, and it does not even appear that I can buy the program separately. The new operating system is marketed as an improvement and this I find misleading advertising when such a basic need as creating a DVD is no longer possible (or extremely complicated). I do not experience that I have received the product I have been informed about in several stores and on Apple's website and considering of course to raise the entire purchase.
Does anybody know how to do this without iDVD? I want to create both a DVD frontpage and chapters as I have been doing on my pc for years.

Does anybody know how to do this without iDVD?
You can't.  You MUST buy iDVD.
Tell Apple how you feel.  They do read these comments, and often react.  Be nice.
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/idvd.html
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
(On the above link, you will notice under Mac apps they do indeed show, iDVD!)
If that doesn't work you can purchase iLife 11 on disk (don't get the download) for about $29. You WILL get iDVD.
or if you like downloads, go to the Apple Store via the Store button at the top, (not the App Store) and look for iLife 11 it will list iWeb and iDVD.  It IS available online.

  • How do I create a DVD from existing M2V and AC3 files?

I have previously used Compressor 4 to render a M2V file and an AC3 file from which I burned a DVD 'job'.  Now, a week later, I wish to go back and burn another DVD from these files, (without rendering them again).  How do I use these EXISTING files to create another DVD (using Compressor 4)?
    Thanks,
    Geoff

If you anticipate that you may need multiple disks, the way to do it is to select Hard Drive as your output device/ That makes a disk image, from which you can burn multiple copies.
WIth the separate files already created, you could bring them into an authoring program like Toast. But if you want to re-use them in Compressor, I think your only option is to multiplex them in something like MPEG STreamclip and bring the new file back into Compressor.
Probably easier to redo the Compressor job with the original source.

  • How do I create a DVD from my iPad2 recorded videos

I have recorded several of my kid's basketball games this summer. I have had parents ask if I can make a dvd of those games to share with the other families. My PC (runnings Windows Vista) does have a DVD burner. I have been able to sync my pics through ITunes, but never videos. Also, can I burn a dvd of my videos from ITunes? I've spent the last several days searching on "how to" but haven't found anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to the DVD burner you'll also need software that is capable of authoring DVDs.
I'm not a Windows person, but I believe Vista comes with an app called Windows DVD Maker.
You might have more success finding people knowledable with it use at Microsofts support site.

  • How do you create a subform from a form

Is this possible in APEX, I want to have a form with about 15 items and then I want to add a button that allows me to branch off that form into another form, but have it linked to that record. I tried using a master/detail, but i want multiple branches to different sections.
    For example
    A main patient screen
A button that you click to add their doctors
another button, that you click for their appointments
    another button for their prescriptions
    Etc.
I can add the buttons easy enough, but how do you link it so it only brings back the person on the main form? All buttons would be a different table with proper primary key/foreign key relationships.
Let me know if you need further information.
    Thanks,
    Jim.

Take a look at this link I am sending. The code is built such that, the button sends you to page 19 from page 18 and in the page submission I am sending teh value of p18's only item to the only item on page 19. Its under the branches after submission section on page 18.

  • How do you create a DVD

Can anyone please help? I have about given up.
I have created a Movie on iMovie HD and then tried to create a dvd using iDVD5. It has been the first time I have used either program but my first atempt was succesfull. However I wasn't happy with the finished product so changed one of the menu's and added some extra chapter markers.
Since then I have not been able to create a DVD.
It takes along time to get past the Audio encoding bit and it will eventually say that burning is complete but with errors.
I am using my Powermac G3 with 1gb of ram and a new 320gb external hard drive.
I have also tried creating a disk image but Toast doesnt allow me select the movie from the menu.
Sorry to woffle on but if anyone could help it might just stop me from throwing the computer through the window.

iDVD can take awhile to finish the encoding, so be patient. I wouldn't focus too much on the exact description that iDVD is providing.
The disk image is a self-contained file so it will transfer fine. It is conceivable that the read/write permissions are goofy. Check them with Get Info, and search this forum for other ideas.

  • How do you create a playlist from personal videos?

I download music videos and save each one as a FLV file.  I view them by clicking on the file icon and AMP starts automatically.
So my question is how can I create a playlist so that I can have AMP play one FLV file (a music video in this case) and then automatically play the next one and the next and the next...
    Similar to what iTunes does.
    Can this be done?

Plug it into iTunes and create a playlist by dragging and dropping the songs you want into the new playlist

I have a byte and would like to know the binary values of each 8 bits in the byte. I have read the javadoc on BitSet, but cannot figure out how to create a BitSet from a byte, so that I can identify the value of each 8 bits of the byte.
Does anyone know how to create a BitSet from a byte OR is there another simpler way to print the bit values contained in a byte?

I found a reference that prints the binary rep. of a byte.
    Integer.toBinaryString(aByte & 0xff));

  • URGENT HELP, How do you burn a DVD from Final Cut Pro

This is my first video and I have to have it done by Wednesday, but I dont know how to take the movie from final cut and import to DVD Studio Pro. If anyone can help please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks Zack

    Hi Zack
There are several ways to do it. To keep it simple just export a self contained movie out of FCP then import this into DVDSP. It will do all the encoding in the background for you. The prefered way is to export out of your timeline to Compressor and use one of the DVD-mpeg-2 presets. The preset you use depends on the the length of your project, the quality of the video, etc. Once you get to understand mpegging a bit more you can create your own settings to suit yourself. If you have to be done by tomorrow just keep it simple and get it done - then you can play another day : )
    Good luck
