The steps would be :
- Add files from file menu > select pdf > add to site
- Select the content (rectangle,text etc) and click on hyperlink dropdown > it should show you the added files list
- Select the file you want to link

While I do not use iWeb, I do use PDF files on my website.
I first create a new folder to hold my PDF files and upload this to my website. When I create and upload PDF files I will upload to this folder. When someone wants to view this files, all they need to do is click on the link I created. After clicking on link, if the user is on a PC, Acrobat Reader is automatically used to view the file or if they are on a Mac, Preview is usually the default viewer (if the they are using Safari, it will simply open in Safari). Just having the extension on yourfile.pdf will cause this and you will not need to do anything else on your end.
FOR EXAMPLE: Download Sample PDF - try it on different browsers and PC's
As far as 'download page', it automatically starts as soon as you click on link. If you are talking about 'saving' the user will always have that option on their end...

I tried the audio widget from MuseGrid and it works fine on the master page, except the song automatically plays but restarts again on each page you go to. Siince this is a bit awkward, I would rather
create a link to a song on each page. This would let the user click on the words "Play music" link to hear the song or to click it off. I saw another discussion to insert html code into the page. Is this what I need? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Adobe Acrobat Forum,
I would like to add a link to my .pdf file.
Once clicked on, I would like the link to send the user to another place in the same .pdf file
or open a separate .pdf file.
I've tried to resolve this on my own by going to both Acrobat help section and the InDesign help section as well as Googling "Acrobat 8 link" or something similar.......but to no avail.

Have you tried in Acrobat 8 to:
Choose Link tool.
Then choose as shown on as on this Graphic
Then when clicking next you should be greeted with this:
Choose open a file or open a weblink depending upon what you want to do.
You try some of the other choices. once you select what to do save as a copy and try. If This one doesn't work try some of the other choices in the first graphic. other panes will open up similar to second graphic except there will be other choices.

Hi there, any help with this is GREATLY appreciated. I have the latest version of Adobe, but when I try to create internal links, there doesn't seem to be any way to do it. Doing a Net search I saw that in previous versions of Adobe, that is, 6, there WAS the ability to create internal links (Tools => Advanced Editing => Link Tool). Now there does NOT seem to be the same facility, which is incredibly frustrating, like Adobe went backwards.
I am creating PDF's from Word, and by internal links I *don't* mean hyperlinks - those are created automatically - but a link in the Index, for eg, so a person can click on a Chapter heading on page 4, for eg and be taken immediately to page 50, for eg.
Going slowly nuts here as there seems to be NO readily-available advice as to how to do this.

Adobe Reader - if yes, then tools such as the Link tool are not available.
Acrobat (Standard/Pro) - if yes, then the Link tool is available.
If using Acrobat X then click "Tools" (at the right) > expand the "Content" panel > select "Link"
If using Acrobat 9 or earlier then use Tools > Advanced Editing > Link tool.

My source html document has a link which specifies a target of _blank, but when I generate a pdf from that html doc, view the PDF in my browswer, and click the link, it overlays the PDF instead of opening a new window with the linked URL. iMovie 8 offers 12 title styles. I need to make my own title style and have it appear with the others so that I can use it each week and then just modify the text.
Would someone explain how to do this please? Modifying an existing one with my own logo might be an option if I can't make a new one. The ones offered by iMovie aren't really useful for a small business user.

Let's not be too quick to say this cannot be done.
What if you created a blank or black slide with your logo? You could do this in Keynote or Powerpoint or a graphics editor. Save it as a JPEG. Import it into iPhoto, which then makes it easy to import into iMovie. You can use this slide as your Title slide, with whatever duration you need. Then you can use one of the iMovie 08 Titles on top of it so you can easily add text. The iMovie Title slides are very flexible. You can change the font, size, placement of the text.

I did as you recommended and installed HTTPWatch and below is the outcome of that program. It is the exact string with the only exception of obfuscated servernames and portnumbers. The last part that begins with "sap_ep_baseurl=" makes me suspicious, is that part really correct? It looks like it's lacking things.

It seems like you will have to have database links set up in all your databases to point to all other remote databases and have a common global naming scheme for all your objects so that no matter what database you log into you will have access to all objects in the universe.

You need an OLE DB provider for Oracle. There is one that ships with Windows, but it only supports very old versions of Oracle. Oracle has an OLE DB provider that you can use. I don't know if it's part of Oracle Client or how it is bundled.
