How do you create a looped 'conveyor belt' effect with objects on a motion path?

I am trying to efficiently create the following looped
effect: a bunch of shapes constantly following a motion guide (a
closed circle). Basically the object could be a conveyor belt or
something else.

I want to avoid having to do it the old-fashioned way of
multiplate layers and symbols. I do not want to see the triangles
skip or jitter while moving along either.
Is there an obvious way to do this with action script? Some
way to simply start with a single symbol and motion guide, then
applying some script (copy-paste).

A circle is easy enough, sure, but I would like to make all
kinds of curves in that circle actually. Everyone knows about
rotating a basic circle. This is beyond that. Imagine all kinds of
turns, waves and spirals in that line.
I have tried Illustrator, and there's potential solutions
there... like the text-on-path tool (why doesn't Flash have that
yet?) which works fantastic. Still a lot of manual work, and will
be a ton of manually copied frames. I wanted something more
efficient.

Assume you have Flash Builder 4.5, CS Extension builder 2.0, Xcode 4.5.1 running under MacOS 10.8.

I understand why you need updated running headers in your book. To a sighted reader these serve as a guide to where you are and help you find things quickly. In addition, if you are exporting your data to XML or HTML from the tagged PDF it would also be important to have these in the proper location.
But for accessibility purposes, it doesn't have to be there because the screen reader reads everything in linear order, line by line. No one is looking at the page. A user listening to the screen reader read the page is going to hear this heading, just before the actual word itself. So they will hear the first word on the page twice. It's not the end of the world if it's there, but such headings are not necessary for accessibility unless they are not repetitive and contain information that is not otherwise available.
So I would say, fine if you need them or want them there, it's just one word.
I think you should try exporting your book to PDF (or even just a chapter of the book) and look at the tags panel in Acrobat to see if you are getting the result you want. I can't tell you exactly what you should do to get those results, you are using a plug-in I don't have.
I can tell you I didn't have to add the headers to any article at all, they just automatically export if the other articles in the file are added and you don't select the header style option "not for export as XML."
You may not experience the same results with your plug-in, but I think it will probably work the same way.

I would like to know how I can create a vertical accordion navigation with some custom modifications.
I need it to function like this sites vertical navigation. (link is below) Click on the parent page "bedrooms" and it expands revealing all of the "child pages" then click on one of the child pages, it turns the font to Underlined and all the child pages remain exposed! (it does not collapse after you click on a child page!!!!!!!) I need my site to do this as it tells the visiter where they are exactly on the site!     Please HELP ME! Thank You!
I would actually like mine to be a little more pronounced. Perhaps having the link turn to BOLD Font indicating you are on that page. And the main Parent page would have a diffrent background color.

All of the accordians i have found seam to collapse after you select a child page (sub menu) and the visitor wouldn't know where he is on the site... Please Help Me accomplish this!

How can you create a flying through space effect?

What would be the best way to create an effect, similar to what you see on Star Trek, where there are stars streaking past the camera? Would it work to create a small circle using a vector mask on a solid, make it 3D and put a motion blur on it whizzing it past a camera?

Without hijacking this thread, I want to create a similar effect of a "fly-by". I'm working on an intro for a show opener, the idea is to have video screens fly-by the camera on the left and right in 3d space. My biggest problem so far is arranging them in the composition, when I track in the camera on the Z-axis the screens behind seem to be overlaped by the front ones and don't get displayed the way I want them to. I know it may sound confusing but I trust you will figure out what I'm trying to do. I want to fly thru' a row of about 32 vidoe screens. A literal example is dollying thru' a long churh aisle or airplane aisle with the chairs on both sides of the aisle whizzing by.
Please help me figure out the best and easiest way to arrange these screens.

How do you create a glowing vector outline on an object?

Hi guys,
I need to put a green glowing outline around a shamrock shape, just like the one pictured below. I know how to do this in Photoshop but it needs to be vectorized for screen printing. I've tried using gradients and glowing edges in Illustrator but I just can't get the same result as below. What else an I try? Thanks for the help!

Note both Mike's suggestions are followed up by Live Trace. That's because there really is no such thing as a "glowing vector outline." You gain nothing by applying the glow effect in Illustrator rather than Photoshop. Either way, the result is raster, so you might as well do it in the application that gives you the more familiar and/or desirable effect.

How do you create a realy good web banner with changing pictures? I'm struggling to resolve this as I'm only a car detailer struggling with all this designing stuff.

How do you make the layer mode take effect with no background in Elements?

I have a picture of water splashing over a black background (like this:
although this isn't the exact one). By turning the blending mode to "screen", I get the effect I want: it basically looks like the water is splashing over my image. The thing is, I need to save it as a .png file with part of the water "dripping" off the edge of my photo onto a transparent background (background must be transparent). The problem I have is as soon as the image hits the transparent background, the black comes back.
I need a way to either remove all the black from the photo or, more ideally, find a way to make the image I see in "normal" blending mode the same as the image I see in "screen" mode. Any ideas? (I have Photoshop Elements 7.0, btw)

I don't understand how you're using "screen" blending mode on a single image, but is this the effect you're trying to get (I used a blue colour to show the transparent area at the bottom of the image):
I used the free KillWhite plug-in (http://mikes3d.com/extra/scripting-plugins/killwhite/) with your image:
Converted the image to RGB. (Image...Mode...RGB Color)
Duplicated the background layer (Ctrl+J).
Inverted the colours on that duplicated layer (Ctrl+I), so that the black background becomes white.
Used KillWhite to...well...kill the white on that layer.
Inverted the colours again.
Used Enhance...Lighting...Brightness/Contrast as well as Levels to darken the water splash.
Added my flower image below the water splash layer and raised the bottom edge of the flower image to leave a transparent area.
My layers wound up looking like this:

How can you create a playlist on Ipod touch with music and music video, and play those from same playlist through Apple TV? I can download, create a playlist with both music and music video, stream that through the Apple TV with no problem. The sound and the information show up on the TV, but when it gets to a music video, it only shows the information and "artwork".
I also have a video playlist - videos play fine through the Apple TV, but will not shuffle through all videos - continues to repeat the same one. I have most definitely selected shuffle in both locations - from the playlist and on the ipod video screen while video is playing.

I finally got it... had to sync the photos with the music in iMovie, arrange the voiceover in GarageBand then export to iTunes, and then I was able to put it all together in iMovie and burn in iDVD... had a few glitches along the way but finally finished : )

How do you create and write a 2-d array?? I have two operations in the same WHILE loop. Each execution of the loop should generate a new pair of values.
However, the BUILD ARRAY function only outputs a 1-d array to the WRITE TO SPREADSHEET FILE.vi.
Perhaps, more broadly, how does one put data into a 2-d array as it is collected? I think I am building two arrays simultaneously below, but, what I really want is to build a single 2-d array. Is this how you would do it? It looks clumsy connecting sequential BUILD ARRAY's together. Is this creating a 2-d array that I can search later by index and return the paired data?
Lastly, why does my front panel indicator only show data in the first column?? How do I make it display the data as it is collected across the rows?

Here's a simpler way, just write out your X and Y as a 1D array each iteration. The Write will append your data as a column of X's and a column of Y's:

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry. I've seen reference to the "My iPhone" local storage put no mention on how you create this folder or access this folder within the Notes app. I realize storing information in a local storage like this provides no syncing between other iDevices but that is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm running iOS7.0.4 on a iPhone 5S, and a iPad Air. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to Settings > Notes > Default Account you will see "On My iPhone" as the default account and the only choice if you have not enabled syncing Notes in Settings >iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If you have enabled syncing you can still select "On My iPhone" as the default account. When you are in the Notes app you won't see any accounts listed if you have not enabled syncing because they are all in the On My iPhone account and that is the only place possible. It is not a folder that you create.
