How do you create folders in mail in iOS eight?

Can anyone tell me if there a way to create new folders in the mail in IOS 8? I'm not talking about POP or IMAP-I don't know what these are and I don't care. In the previous iOS versions, I have always been able to simply create a new folder. Once again, please don't explain about pop and IMAP. I couldn't care less about these things that I have always gotten by fine without. I just want to create a new folder in my stupid email like I have been doing for the last 15 years.
A simple how to (__>___>__>) would be very highly appreciated. No offense to anyone but I'm really not looking for a long saga or your life story. If you don't know the answer please don't offer me a bunch of suggestions. Thanks a lot.

If the account allows the creation of folders (if it's set up as a POP account on your iPad then you won't be able to create new folders) then go to the screen with the list of folders that you currently have on the account, tap the Edit button at the top right of that list, and you should then get a 'New Mailbox' button at the bottom right of that list - tap that, type in the folder's name, and select where you want it to go.

As to your claim of "previous email applications", certainly none in iOS ever did that, and the only folders you can create and manipulate in POP accounts are those local to only that single machine or platform, not particularly helpful or desirable in today's environments.

  • How do you create folders in photo's

In an IPOD4 (or IPhone for that matter) how do you create folders within Photo's to segregate your pictures in to meanigfull collections, rather than just random bunches.
    Thanks

Bummer - seems like wasted effort - to move all the photo's to a computer, delete then from the IPOD/IPHONE,  organize them, and then move back to IPOD/IPHONE. Oh well, is what it is.
    Thanks

  • How do I create Folders in Mail?

I recently migrated from Eudora to Mail. In the process I brought some Folders in which I filed mailboxes, in some cases there were folders in folders. All are there well and clear.
How do I create a Folder into whch I can put more sub folders or mailboxes? I cannot find anything other than a Smart Mailbox Folder menu item and there is nothing in the Mail help Viewer
    Tks

At the Mail.app menu bar, go to Mailbox and select New Mailbox.
The following was copied from Mail Help under Creating Mailboxes.
You can create as many mailboxes as you like to file or organize messages you want to keep.
You can create a mailbox that's stored on your computer, one that's stored within a specific account, or a mailbox in an existing mailbox. A mailbox inside another mailbox is called a "subfolder."
If you have an IMAP account, you can store received mail on your computer or on your mail server.
    Choose Mailbox > New Mailbox.
To create a mailbox within an existing mailbox, select the existing mailbox before you choose Mailbox > New Mailbox.
Use the Location pop-up menu to choose the location for the mailbox on your computer or an IMAP account (to store the mailbox on an IMAP server).
Type a name for the mailbox.
    Click OK.
To create a mailbox that contains another mailbox (or subfolder), type the name for the mailbox and the subfolder separated by a forward slash ("/"). For example, if you type "Apple Mail/Apple Newsletters," a mailbox named Apple Mail will be created, with a mailbox named Apple Newsletters inside it. (Note that if you create a mailbox this way, the enclosing mailbox can only contain other mailboxes, not messages. Such mailboxes appear white in the mailboxes list, instead of blue.)

  • How do you create folders in your email?

I want to organize my email but I can't figure out how to create folders on my iPhone.

The manual for iPhones running iOS 8 contains the following:
Organize your mail with mailboxes. Tap Edit in the Mailboxes list to create a new one, or to rename or delete one. (Some built-in mailboxes can’t be changed.) There are several smart mailboxes, such as Unread, that show messages from all your accounts. Tap the ones you want to use.
This is on page 58. For the manual itself, visit http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf .

Folder organisation is done in Finder, not from within Pages, although you can create a new folder from within the Save dialog box in most programs.

  • How do you delete folders in word? I made some folders but did not realize I had created them within another folder. Also, how do you create folders correctly?

    Please help! Thanks

    Hi Aristotle222,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Files and folders are created by the Macintosh OS, not a specific application.
The link below will explain how to create folders and subfolders, and organize your data using Finder.

  • How Do You Create Folders for Bookmarks on the Bookmark page?

I would like to take some of the bookmarks I have created on the IPT and place them into some kind of folder collection. Can this be done? I'm sure it is a simple solution, but it escapes me.

Yes, this can be done. While looking at your bookmarks, touch Edit in the bottom left corner. Then, click new folder, type in a name, and click Bookmarks in the upper left. Do this for as many folders as you wish. Click Done when you are finished. Then you will need to recreate the bookmarks and save them into the appropriate folders, or, while in the edit menu, tap the bookmarks individually and change where they are saved.

  • How do you create an email alias using iOS device

I want to create an email alias, I have a MacBook and an iPhone but I can't figure out how to do it on either. As far as I can tell the only way I have been able to access the icloud mail preferences is through icloud.com however you can't access icloud.com on any iOS device. I've been trying to figure it out all day so would really appreciate any help

You should be able to access it from Safari on your MacBook, or another computer.
You can only access it on an iOS device if you use an altrenative browser like iCabMobile Web Browser, and set the Browser ID in the app's settings to Safari (Mac).

  • How do you easily "mass" delete mail in iOS 7

I have 2,100 unread messages since updating to iOS 7. How do I easily mass-delete the unread messages?

Not that i am aware of. In order to delete you have to click edit button on your top right and choose one by one.
Or you can try this, click edit on your top right and click mark all on your lower left, mark everything as read, if you don't have that, mark everything as in read and mark it as read.
    Good luck.

  • How do you create new maps in Mail on iPad?

How do you create new maps in Mail on iPad?
In the iPad-manual they mention you can put messages in other mailboxes or maps (to free up the Inbox).
But they don't mention how to create such maps.
In the app itself I can't find a way to do it.
    thanks for all replies
    Kamiel

Maybe you are confused by the fact I used the word 'maps' instead of 'folders' (my natural Ianguage is Dutch).
For your question about the manual: on page 59 in the 'iPad 2 user guide' under 'organizing Email' they say you can move messages to a different mailbox or folder.
